Hi, I'm trying to launch a continuously running python script from Codesys and monitor the script status inside the Codesys runtime (running on a Linux enviroment). For now I'm testing with the below to emulate a continuously running Python script: #test.py i = 0 while True: i += 1 I'm able to successfully run the script using SysProcessExecuteCommand2 (I can see the Python process running in the task manager). However, this "freezes" the Codesys execution of the task - it sits on that command and will not continue until the Python script ends. I've proven this works by using the task monitor to kill the process, then Codesys continues on happily through the task. What I want to do is use SysProcessCreate2 to set up the Python script as a background task and monitor the process using SysProcessGetState. This always results in the error "ERR_OPERATION_DENIED". I know that I'm able to execute commands (as above), so my config should be correct. Is SysProcessCreate2 functional on a Linux environment? Is there something in the config file I'm missing? After some more digging I realized that I get an error on the PLC Logger saying PersistenceChannel: 150 (invalid type in data: SimpleLibrary). I suppose the issue could be found in the ConfigData, which is automatically generated and which looks like this: 1 9##83 SimpleLibrary#GVL.aMoreZeros.[1]#0#64512#15#0 <[2]#0#64520#15#0 <[3]#0#64528#15#0 <[4]#0#64536#15#0 <#0#64544#15#0 <[6]#0#64552#15#0 <<lrVar#0#64560#15#0 <strVar#0#64428#16#80 <uiDummy#0#64370#11#0 Perhaps the fact that the variable is stored within a library confused the compiler? I tried changing the PersistenceChannel parameters to xCompressTags := FALSE which changed the entry in the data file from _xCompressTags BOOL:TRUE _xCompressTags BOOL:FALSE but the actual content of the data file and also the config data did not change.

Hi, when it comes about license, I used INVTmatic Studio, which uses Codesys, for programming INVT plc. I bought Codesys Modbus license, it was not expensive, and then realised that INVT didn't have License Manager option (greyed out in program) which is needed for using of Codesys License. I contacted support from INVT, but developers told me that option is still not available. So depending on environment for programming Codesys, you can or not use Modbus license. Good thing about this version of Modbus TCP it works both direction. I could send commands and receive feedbacks from drive. But communication stops after 30 mins. So I used simple version of ethernet modbus which is somewhere in INVT or Condesys library (I can check tomorrow) which works only one way. I could send cmd to drive, and control it, but didn't have any feedback, like some readings back in PLC. which is bad, but at least I could start it and it didn't fail after 30 mins.

Dann funktioniert nach Download der Bus nicht mehr. Gibt es noch eine andere Möglichkeit das zu steuern oder muss ich noch Einstellungen tätigen? Bisher war ich es gewohnt, dass ich vor dem "als übersetzte Bibliothek speichern" die Compiler-Version eingestellt habe, die mindestens erforderlich ist. In meinem aktuellen SP20-Development-System ist dies aber nicht mehr möglich. Wenn ich das Bibliotheksprojekt unter SP16 öffne, kann ich eine ältere Compiler-Version einstellen, aber ich kann die Bibliothek nicht als ".compiled-library-v3" speichern. Das "CODESYS Compiler Versions Archive" Addon ist installiert. Wie ist aktuell die Vorgehensweise für die Entwicklung von Bibliotheken mit dem Ziel auch ältere Versionen zu unterstützen?

Hallo, ich hatte heute gestern Probleme mit mit Aktivierung der Lizenz (der Softcontainer auf dem Raspberry hatte sich nicht geöffnet) und dann habe ich hin und her probiert und dann irgendwann ging es, bis ich festgestellt hatte, dass die Lizenz auf der Workstation liegt (es geht um eine IIoT Library SL Lizenz). Ich habe versucht, die Lizenz irgendwie zu verschieben, habe es aber nicht hinbekommen - kann mir da jemand helfen?

Finnaly i get it working. There was a line in the file that set the ADS1015 chip in /boot/firmware/config.txt which i removed and after that the ADS1115 has a green turning circle and i got values. i created a new component so it fits our ADS1015. see screenshot. It works also with Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi 64 SL after adding the ULINT_TO_UDINT conversion in the library. i think the chip was all the time in use by the Raspberry pi itself. Hello I've made an FB which is a TCP server. It uses the excellent CAA NetServices library. If I have the FB in a task <4ms, then the RT crashes immediately at boot up. If the task >=4ms, it starts and runs perfectly. This is even if the block is not doing anything; just instantiated. Am I missing something silly? Why would a low task time cause this? 4ms is perfectly adequate, but I'm just interested why... thanks PH

Bonjour DIEGORAMONM, très recemment,je pense avoir résolu un problème similaire en allant dans le Placeholder (Espace réservé) du Gestionnaire de bibliothèque. Dans cette nouvelle fenêtre, je sélectionne la bibliothèque qui pose problème, et dans la colonne du milieu je clic pour définir une bibliothèque de version inférieure. à la compilation, je suis passé de 484 erreurs à 0. :) J'espère que ce sera également le cas pour toi. Bonjour Diegoramonm, Je pense avoir eu un problème similaire. Je l'ai résolu en dégradant la version de la bibliothèque qui me posait problème après également une mise à jour. Ouvrir le gestionnaire de bibliothèque / Ouvrir l'onglet Espace réservé / La fenêtre Placeholders s'ouvre. Sélectionner la bibliothèque voulue puis double cliquer sur la bibliothèque(carré jaune)concernée et choisir une autre version. puis recompiler. Pour moi cela a marché du 1er coup : chance! Bon développment!

Hello Vincent, I don't have 75 channels but it works for me as described above without any problems. There is also a parameter MAX_MODBUS_CHANNELS in the library parameters for the IoDrvModbusTCP module. The default value there is 100. Perhaps you are reaching the limit there? The value can be adjusted accordingly. I assume that this value is not accepted in the input dialogue and therefore the 'fixed' limit value 10 is used.

Hallo zusammen, vorweg: ich habe sehr sehr wenig Ahnung von Codesys, industrieller Kommunikation etc ... Ich soll für ein Seminar mithilfe der Library SysSocket eine HTTP Verbindung zwischen PC und und der Wago PFC200 herstellen, die wir hier im Labor haben. Ich habe mir unterschiedliche Examples von Codesys angeschaut, ChatGPT gepromptet etc. aber komme nicht in die Nähe von irgendwas, das funktioniert. Kann mir jemand ganz einsteigerfreundlich erklären, welche Bausteine ich benötige und was mit diesen getan werden müsste, um das ganze zum laufen zu bekommen? Wäre auf ewig dankbar ... Verzweifle hier langsam :( Viele Grüße

I got same issue but managed to get it to work again by downgrading the Runtime. Here's my specs: CODESYS V3.5.19.0 Runtime Linux SL 4.7.0.0. CSV Utility SL 1.1.0.0 (Licensed IIoT libraries SL) I tried Runtime 4.8.0.0. and 4.9.0.0 but both result in INVALID_HANDLE error.

In the example project, you can see that a CAN.CANAreaReceiver is used which has an VAR_IN_OUT reference to a RECEIVER_AREA structure. This structure has a dwIdStart and dwIdEnd to filter a range of ID's and process them through the referenced msgProcessor.
