Sorry for the question, but I'm not completely getting the idea here, could you be more specific, maybe give an example? I'm now in a state where I don't have a softcontainer on my license server anymore (even after reinstalling from the Codesys-IDE). I tried reaching the webserver of Codemeter but when I do that I get redirected to http://"IP":22352 This is not reachable, afterwards I installed lynx on my Debian machine (command line only). From here I could reach the webserver and toggle the network server setting, but unfortunately this did not help. I also tried to changed the remote read setting to 1 (in the Server.ini file). But after a Codemeter reboot this is overwritten to 0. I have the feeling that it should be much easier to get a license to work, am I missing some checkbox somewhere? Is there a tutorial (or manual) that explains the licensing sequence step by step, because I'm pretty stuck.

Hallo zusammen, ich habe im Grunde dieselbe Frage wie in diesem Thread: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Deutsch/thread/85372a6daf/ Leider hat der Threadersteller das Problem selbst gelöst, ohne seine Lösung zu teilen. Mein Setup: Ich möchte von einer WAGO PFC200 Daten per MQTT an HomeAssistant übertragen. Die Grundkommunikation steht bereits. Angenommen, man hat 50 Lichtschalter und 50 Lampen. Wie ist das übliche Vorgehen, um 50 einzelne Bool-Werte (Lichtschalter ein/aus) effizient zu übertragen? Ich finde einfach kein Beispiel, das ich als Vorlage nutzen könnte. Muss wirklich für jeden Lichtschalter ein eigenes MQTT-Topic und somit ein eigener Baustein in CODESYS angelegt werden? Also z. B. Topic/LS1/state, Topic/LS2/state usw.? Oder gibt es eine gängige, professionellere Methode, mehrere Schalter effizient zu übertragen? Zur Eingrenzung: Ich nutze die CODESYS IIoT Libraries, da die Janz Tec MQTT Library für mich bisher zu komplex ist. Kann mir jemand bitte erklären, wie Profis so etwas lösen? Hi everyone. My question about: where I can learn (read or watch) an info about codesys workflow through the system IO libs? I want to know how to implement I/O drivers by my self. In the system libs I see many interfaces, methods etc... But there is no explanation about them, just names of methods and fields of the FBs. I know about this page: https://forge.codesys.com/drv/io-drivers/doc/Generic/ There is so BIG the device description file and not so clear explaining of the attributes and elements, also some elements or attributes missed at it all. Yes, there are code examples on this page, but, so shortly and, for example, code about Modbus drivers is absent. And even if I try to add the IoDrvFB with lib, I get and error, something like: "failed to load IoDrvFB driver". And what about the book of codesys that written by Gary Pratt? Is there information about system libs and drivers in this book more clearly? Thank you :)

I am a little confused, there is no ethercat device in the device tree. I already set the send clock and the reduction ratio to higher values, but without result. Hi, We are currently using a Raspberry Pi 4 CM4 module in a EdgeBox RPI 200 - Industrial Edge Controller running the latest CODESYS Runtime Package 4.11.0.0. On the PC (actually an Intel Macbook Pro running Windows 10 in Parallels) we run CODESYS V3.5.19.50. Yesterday end of day when I was about to logoff and head home, I wanted to send the latest build to the Raspberry I clicked the Login button to compile a new version and then sync the application and all the files, it get's stuck on the last file to sync (see attached screenshot). This takes eternally, although sometimes, when I use my SFTP client (Cyberduck) and go into the raspberry and refresh the directory /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic/visu/, or when I open the actual file visuelemsdatetime.tl_datetime.txt, it gets un-stuck (forcing a refresh, which might fix the syncing issue) and CODESYS continues and I can click the Start button to start the application. But this SFTP force refresh trick does not always help either... What could be the issue here? network connectivity? Can someone please help me out?

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on a project involving the control of 5 VFDs via Modbus RTU, this time using the WAGO 750-8212 CPU. So far, I've managed to make progress, but I've encountered an issue. While I can successfully read and write to all the registers I need, I consistently encounter a "Response CRC Fail" error when attempting to write the value 1151 to the STW register at address 40100. I'm able to set the frequency via register 40101 and adjust all other parameters using different registers. Setting STW to 1150 results in the drive ready boolean from the ZSW-bit being received instantly. However, the moment I attempt to send 1151 to register 40100, I immediately receive the "Response CRC Fail" error for all channels. I've also attempted to use combined control, employing Modbus for frequency control and starting from a digital input. Everything seems to function properly until I send the start command to the VFD. Interestingly, I consistently encounter the same error the moment I send the start command, regardless of whether I use register 40006 (high) or 40100 (1151). Could someone please assist me in resolving this issue?

Hallo, Ich gehe gerade Möglichkeiten durch, wie ich Buttons so erstellen kann, dass ich sie nachträglich möglichst einfach bearbeiten kann um z.B. die Farben des Aktiven/Inaktiven Zustandes darzustellen. Die Buttons bestehen aus einem Hintergrund als Farbverlauf, einem Text und einem Icon. Ich habe zuerst den ESC Image Button verwendet, aber auch hier müsste ich nacheinander alle Buttons bearbeiten, wenn ich z.B. die Hintergrundfarbe anpassen will. Jetzt habe ich die Buttons als einzelne Visualisierungen erstellt und in der Visu jeweils als Frames eingeblendet. Den Zustand kann ich dann durch unsichtbare Elemente in der Buttonvisu darstellen. Weil hinter jeder Buttonvisu ein Frame meines Hintergrundes liegt, kann ich die einfach anpassen. Siehe Bild- der Frame ist der graue Hintergrund, das Rechteck ist die Umrandung für den Status mit einer transparenten Füllfarbe. Gibt es da eine einfachere Möglichkeit die Elemente zu verknüpfen, sodass ich einen Button habe, den ich nachträglich möglichst einfach abändern kann? Bei den Buttons bei denen ich keine Icons einblende, kann ich direkt den Text auf den Hintergrundframe setzen. Wenn ich hier aber das farbige Randungsrechteck für den Status über das Frame liege, verdeckt es diesen natürlich. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit Elemente so einzublenden, dass dahinter liegende Elemente angeklickt werden können? Alternativ muss ich die Aktion auch noch mit dem überlagertem Element verknüfen.

I have the Opening and Closing working, but I can’t get the dialogue's position to be controlled. Hi Leute , ich bin neu hier im Forum und habe seit kurzer Zeit mein eigenes SPS-Projekt. Ich stoße hin und wieder an Probleme aber habe diese auf kurz oder lang gelöst. Nun zu meinem Problem: Als Projekt habe ich eine Kühlwassersteuerung , die einen Relativdruck einließst, und anhand desssen Werte dann einen Frequenzumrichter ansteuert. Z. Bsp. 5Bar -> FU auf 70Prozent. Ich lese in Codesys den Analogwert mit der Wago A20_750_455_020 ein. Dieser Wert wird umgerechnet mit LIN_TRAFO in 0-10 (Bar)und und wird dann über einen PID Regler geregelt. (Bibliothek UTIL). Dieser Wert wird dann wieder für die Ausgangskarte Umgerechnet (LIN_TRAFO) . Nun zu meinem Problem : Die Ausgangskarte nimmt nur einen Word Datentyp und meine Bausteine haben den REAL Datentyp. Wenn ich einen Konvertierungsbaustein nehme, Schmeist mir Codesys einen Fehler und das Programm wird geschlossen. Könnt Ihr mir helfen? Vielen Dank im Voraus (Datei habe ich angehängt). Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and I am also new to Codesys programming. My problem is this: I have a STRUCT of 64 bool and 30 real, this STRUCT is assigned in the programme 9 times. Now I need to communicate with an HMI via Modbus and I have defined the slave device and created the holding registers for communication. I would like to declare the first call of the STRUCT on the Modbus registers %QX2000.0 to %QX2007.7 for the booleans and on the registers %QW1004 to %QW1034 for the real registers. That said, I would like to change an index and set an offset of 100 bytes for the calls of the other 8 assignments, so that the result is: %QX2100.0 to %QX2107.7 for the booleans and on the %QW1104 to %QW1134 registers for the Real registers, etc. Is there a way to declare this? I know I'm thinking about this wrong -- too many decades of procedural and event-driven programming and only a few months of PLC ST programming...... I've created a visualization with a button that when pushed calls a method. I want the method to take a pressure reading, wait one minute and then take another pressure reading. I'm looking for leaks. I'm using TON for the delay. It seems like what is happening is that the method gets called once and it takes the first reading and starts the TON. But then execution continues, leaves that method call, and the second reading never happens. I can force the method to keep running until the whole thing is done with a While loop, but I understand that is considered BAD in PLC programming. If it push the button again to call the method again, it picks up where it left off and if the timer is complete then it runs the remaining code. How do I keep that method running until it is complete with just one call without using a while loop that ties up the PLC for a minute? Thanks! -Farren

Hi all, I am using CoDeSys V3.5 and a soft controller Win V3x64. I am trying to read a modbus slave via Function Blocks and not via the channels of the hardware tree for the Slave. I created some requests of type ModbusRequest and I notice that I can read Input Registers and Coils but I can not write Holding Registers and Coils. I am using the library IoDrvModbusTCP 4.1.0.0. When i just use a single modbus request with FC06 (or FC16), there is no request sent to the slave and although the xExecute takes its true value from a pulse of 2 seconds duration, I take almost every 3 minutes an error "TCP_COMMUNICATION_ERROR - 16#A5 - TCP Port. error. Request was not sent". My code is ok because if i change the function code for reading registers, everything works fine. Did anyone have this issue in the past? Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone. I hope this is the right place to ask for help, this error is causing me a great amount of time loss and I really would like to end this nightmare. I don't know why but at times if I try to Browse -> Display Cross Reference on a variable Codesys just crashes. I'll attach the file with the complete crash report hoping someone can figure why it happend. I think that the unhandled exception comes from the PersisranceManager Module and is connected with the other big problem I'm facing: I cannot refactor in my project, if I'll try to refactor a POU name the whole POU will become "frozen", it's like its desynchronizing from the project and the project cannot find the pointer to the POU once I refactor it. And when I open the project a warning pop-up will show up with the frozen POUs name, but I cannot figure out what the warning is telling me. I'll attach every warning and error pop up the project is showing me, and thanks in advance to anyone who can figure something out.

Hi, I'm using codesys v3.5 sp21 software. I have downloaded the sample opc ua client project from https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Examples/_ex_uacapi_example.html and i tested connecting to "prosys opc ua simulation server". Through Anonymous connection it is connecting to server and can read data. Later tried to connect using username and password. First got a SECURITY_CHECKS_FAILED error, trusted the client certificate in the server and this issue resolved. Next got an INVALID_CERTIFICATE error, trusted the server certificate in the client and this issue resolved. After these two error it is not establishing the connection and not giving any error messages. In order to use SoftMotion Light, a servo drive needs to support CiA 402 operating modes: Profile Position (PP), Profile Velocity (PV) and Homing Mode (HM). https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20SoftMotion%20Light/_sm_light_requirements.html According to the Lenze i950 documentation you linked in your post, none of these modes are supported. Not even Homing Mode which explains why MC_Home does not work even with the full SoftMotion. The full SoftMotion uses Cyclic Synchronous Position Mode (CSP) but still uses Homing Mode (HM) when using MC_Home. You can monitor PDO 0x6060 (Mode of Operation). When using SoftMotion Light you will see it set to 1 (PP) for a MC_MoveAbsolute_SML and MC_MoveRelative_SML and to 3 (PV) for MC_MoveVelocity_SML and to 6 (HM) for MC_Home_SML. When using the SoftMotion instructions, it will pretty much always be set to 8 (CSP) except when using MC_Home, then it will be set to 6 (HM).

We make heavy use of internally developed libraries, which are often nested on multiple levels. I routinely work simultaneously on several libraries along with a project that use them. I make changes to a library and immediately perform a download (online or otherwise) in the project. For the longest time, we had zero issue with this. But starting a good while back, with 3.5 SP19 I think, CODESYS started not noticing library updates in other instances most of the time. When the update is missed, the project sees no need to update the code, and any download ignores the new code. A "Clean all" does not solve the issue. But if I close and then re-open the project, then the new version is noticed and the download works. The other solution is saving the library to the registry multiple times (say, 20-30 times, less if lucky), and then at some point the project notices the changed library. I am now on SP21, and it is still not fixed. This is driving me mad, any tasks probably takes me double the time or more due to this problem. My colleague has the same problem on a separate computer. Is this a known issue? Is there a setting somewhere that changes how updates are checked? Thanks for any help!
