Wanted to play a bit with a raspberry Pi 4 Model B HW 1.5 and Codesys. Regardless of the image (tried 32bit / 64bit version from Raspberry Pi Imager) and with all tested Codesys Control versions (4.2.0, 4.8.0, 4.10.0) and regardless if single core / multicore / 64 bit variant, always is the runtime stopped after about 30sec with the nice message: ooops... this runtime was built for RASPBERRYPI. Hardware version or firmware version not supported! (-7, 0x00000BB8, 0xFFFFFFFB) Whats wrong with it?!?!? I read a lot about the issue in topics from 2020-2021 but it always was stated with new Codesys control version issue will be fixed (4.4 for example) but still it is there.

I have default arguments specified for function block methods but when calling a method, an error is produced requiring me to supply all the arguments despite there being default values. According to the online documentation, under section "Calling a Method" and subsection "argument passing" of the following link: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/_cds_obj_method.html "Passing an argument for an input ... can be omitted ... for which a default or initial value was specified in the declaration..." I have found this to be the case for all Codesys IDEs I've used, 3.5.11, 3.5.16, 3.5.17, 3.5.19. Am I missing something?

Hallo, wir spielen mit dem Gedanken, Codesys auf einen AT SAM E54 Xplained Pro lauffähig zu machen. dieser besitzt einen Atmel ATSAME54P20A mit einem Cortex M4. Meine Fragen hierbei: Was muss portiert werden, wenn die Zielhardware momentan noch nicht unterstützt wird? Gibt es ggf. Anleitungen, um die Laufzeit auf solch einen Controller zu bringen? Muss hierbei ein eigener Interpreter entwickelt werden, der den compilierten Code "übersetzt"? Wie lauffähig ist der rübergespielte Code, gibt es irgendwelche Einschränkungen bei der Programmierung in Codesys? (Verwendung von bestimmten Datentypen nicht möglich?) Was für Lizenzen werden für den Controller benötigt? Vielen Dank im Voraus Sebastian

Hi, Found a nice ramp function in the OSCAT lib (FT_RMP), but is there a nice way to 'set' the output to the current input as form of a reset. The reason for this, is that I want to set up a ramp for a pressure control input that should have x Bar/sec linear rise input. The only option (or code it by hand) I found is this OSCAT FB. Any other options? Just need to increase a value by x Bar/sec from let's say 250Bar (as start) to end 1500Bar. The Oscat ramp will always start at 0 when enable is off (FT_RMP.Rmp := FALSE)

Hi everyone, so a little update to this, I've come back to this project in the new year, and got it working. Yeah!, However, now with the new licensing setup, I need a new SoftMotion license, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with the previous Raspberry Pi SL license. Has anyone had any luck with Raspberry Pi and SoftMotion_Lite? Specifically the licensing of such? My customers new installation needs to be rebooted every 30min which is causing headaches! Another option is to not use the SoftMotion function blocks, and control the EtherCat amplifier directly, but I'm not sure how to do so. Does anyone have a specific example project of how to control a servo without the use of the SoftMotion function blocks? Thanks everyone for any assistance rendered. It's very much appreciated! Toby

Hallo goodmorning, I am using codesys 3.5 sp19 with Weidmueller PLC. I created a page with several checkbox to manage an array of bool. When I build the project the system doesn't signal any error, when I go in simulation mode everything works until I click on checkbox to toggle the variables. Other visu elements works proprerly (e.g. bottons, lights, ect, ect) but the check boxes cause a crash giving the following error: Error while processing the visualization: Client id not present or no longer valid I serched to figure the problem out and to search a solution on the web but nothing. Hello, I have the WAGO PLC 200 750-8210. In addition I have downloaded the "WAGO Devices and Libraries 2.0.4.3" and installed the library into the Codesys v 3.5. I then create a new project on Codesys 3.5 and select the device "750-8216 PFC200 (WAGO)" (which I downloaded from the WAGO library). However when I have connected the ethernet cable from the WAGO device to my computer and on my codesys 3.5 i press "Scan Network" on codesys and it does not detect the device. How can I get it to detect the device? (I have put the ethernet cable from my WAGO to the computer, but it does not show the device).

Hello Every one, During testing of OPC UA communication between UA Expert software and the CODESYS SoftPLC on a Linux environment, an observation was made. When the Ethernet cable was disconnected and reconnected with 2-minute intervals, on the 5th attempt, the OPC UA connection failed to establish in UA Expert software. At this juncture, restarting the CODESYS SoftPLC enabled the reestablishment of OPC UA communication. The same result was obtained when testing on a Raspberry Pi SoftPLC. What is the reason behind this phenomenon? and whether there are settings to stop this behavior? Please help. Thanks & Regards.

Hi, i found a solution for me. I had installed a 'old' version of CoDeSys (3.5.18 P5). I tried to add channels there, which works fine. I created a new project, added an Ethernet-Port, added a Modbus-Master and then I copied the ModBus-Slave from my working project to the new project. Now I could add more channels. I add the channels 10 and 11. Then I deleted (please make a backup before :-) the original ModBus-Slave in my working project and copied the extended Slave back to my working project. Surprisingly it is now possible to add new channels. Maybe this will help you.

Für mein Projekt hab ich die einfache Rezepturverwaltung verwendet. Bis jetzt alles unproblematisch, hab aber jetzt ein wenig um- und aufgeräumt, prinzipiell aber nicht verändert. Ich kann Rezepturen mit neuem Namen speichern, wenn ich aber den gleichen Namen verwende, öffnete sich bisher ein Dialogfenster mit "File already exists..." Neu öffnet sich aber der Dialog mit kryptischen Zeichen ohne Eingabemöglichkeit und ohne das Fenster wieder schließen zu können. Dann kann ich nur noch aus und wieder einschalten. Hat jemand eine Idee?

Hallo, nach einer Umrüstung des RPi auf SSD habe ich den RPi neu aufgesetzt. Nach dem Installieren der Runtime (4.11.0.0 raspberry, all) auf den RPi kann ich das Gerät nicht mehr verbinden. Die Fehlermeldung lautet "Das gewählte Zielsystem 'Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi MC SL' stimmt nicht mit dem verbundenen Gerät 'Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi 64SL' überein. ID-Diskrepanz: Ausgewählt=000 0011, Online=0000 0012" Bei der Konfiguration des Laufzeitsystems kann man nur Multicore 64-bit (Aarch64) auswählen. Beim Aktualisieren des Gerätes im Gerätebaum habe ich Raspberry Pi MC SL in der Version 4.11.0.0 ausgewählt. Diese Version habe ich auch ausgewählt, weil nur diese Version für den produktiven Einsatz zugelassen ist. Die codesys Version ist frisch installiert, also 3.5.19.60 Vielen Dank für Ihre Hilfe

na ja es gibt halt einfach die Möglichkeiten: 1. Man installiert Raspberry PI OS 32Bit -> dann geht PI SL und PI MC Multicore als Target 2. Man installiert Raspberry PI OS 64Bit dann muss es PI64Bit sein falls der Übersetzungsfehler nicht in einer Bibliothek ist (die du vielleicht nicht ändern kannst) https://faq.codesys.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=128253958 Hier der Hinweis was man tun muss das dein IEC Code für 32Bit als auch 64Bit Targets funktioniert Also entweder zurück auf Raspberry PI OS 32 Bit: nur zur Info noch was im Config file steht für welche Plattform/Produkt [CmpRasPi] Architecture=aarch64 (-> 64Bit PI) oder Architecture=armv7l (-> PI MC Multicore) oder Architecture=armv6l (-> PI SL Single Core)

Zu der o.g. Fehlermeldung "cmperrors interfaces, 3.5.5.0 (system): C0338: Die Bibliothek 'cmperrors interfaces, 3.5.5.0 (system)' wird nur in 32-Bit-Applikationen unterstützt": Wie kann ich die Bibliothek finden, die den Fehler verursacht? Beim Doppelklick auf die Fehlermeldung würde ich einen entsprechenden Hinweis erwarten. Aber es passiert gar nichts. Wenn ich im Bibliotheksverwalter manuell den Baum durchsuche, finde ich nur Referenzen auf CmpErrors2Interfaces, die ja 64bit kompatibel sind. Leider konnte ich bisher nur eine SSD mit einem 64bit OS für den RPi zum Laufen bringen. Deswegen gehen mir langsam die Ideen aus. Vielen Dank für die Hilfe

Hello, I bought some licenses from CODESYS store. I am trying to install licenses into my device(CODESYS Control for Linux ARM64 SL). But I have a trouble with it. I did it in the following order. Tool -> License Manager Selected Device and Next... Selected Soft container and Next... Select the device and Ok.. And then I always show a message "Licensing info not available. There is no dongle attached to the device." And I tried to click "Install Licenses" button. I saw the message "The value cannot be NULL. Parameter name : continerToLicenses" Could you let me know what I've missed or what I've got wrong?

Hallo zusammen, ich habe die Aufgabe ein Kennfeld zu programmieren. Mithilfe des Visualisierungselements Tabelle ist mir dies gelungen (siehe Anhang). In der Inputconfiguration habe ich die Option: Schreiben von Variablen aktiviert, damit der Benutzer die Werte im Kennfeld verändern kann. Beim Testen des Programmes bin ich im (Online-Betrieb, Simulation). Ich verändere die Werte im Kennfeld. Beim Programm-Neustart von CODESYS sind die Veränderungen im Kennfeld nicht mehr da. 1. Kennt jemand einen Ansatz wie ich bspw. den "Datenstand" im Online Betrieb speichern und bei Bedarf öffnen kann oder eine alternative Herangehensweise? "Im Onlinebetrieb speichert CODESYS die Bootapplikation auf dem Zielgerät" 2. Wird dabei eine Bootapplikation vom Code erzeugt welcher im Online-Betrieb sichtbar ist (samt den Veränderungen im Kennfeld) oder wird die Bootapplikation auf Grundlage des Offline-Codes erzeugt? Hi, I'm using Codesys control for Raspberry Pi in the latest version (4.11.0.0) When I try to install a license with the new application-based licensing, I have an error "returncode 403046401" (using codesys SP18) I updated to codesys SP20, and now I get the following error: "The selected conainer [0]: SN=..., Version=1.18, Chip=0, Rev=0 does not fit to your ticket. Please select a suitable one." The license I'm trying to install is a Codesys Control Basic L license, with a Codesys Visualization L option, according to the needs of my application. What can I do to activate my license ?

I cannot install multicore and it only gives me the option to install Standard. Looking to access a variable at runtime that indicates a user is online to the code. essentially want to use this value to feedback to the user on the HMI. we use turck and bosch rexroth devices if this information helps. I was hoping there was a variable at the application level, or a library that could be used but I was unable to find anything. I know there's a pop up when you try to login/ go online to the code when a user is already logged in, so the system does provide an indication that it knows already online, but has no access to a value from what I can see. Any help is appreciated

Hello, I am trying to control shift registers 74HC596 and 74HC165 via Raspberry PI with SPI interface. So far I did it with a Microcontroller and now I wanna upgrade my Projekt with Raspberry Pi and Codesys Software to be more flexible. I tried to adapt PiFace Function Block to just send or recive a 8 bit via SPI interface of the my Raspberry Pi. With following code (see attached screenshots) * PLC_PRG * PiFaceDigital * PiFaceDigital.write8 * PiFaceDigital.read8 I have a signal at SCK and MOSI pin of the PI, so far so good. But I really struggle with the unterstanding of the code. Is there some detailed description of each line of code? Or is there somebody in the community who can explain each line of code? Or is there a more simple way to send / recive 8 bit via SPI? Manuel

Hi A SINT is a short (signed) integer. It is already only 1 byte - so you should have no problem casting it to a byte like so: bMyByte := TO_BYTE(sintMyShortInt); If you have a regular INT you want to put in 2 bytes - there are a lot of ways you can do this. A Union is certainly one of them. You could have a union with 2 memebers: An array of 2 bytes as one member, and an integer value as another member. Another way would be to look at MEMCPY to put the value into your CAN-message. .. or create a function to take your input value as input, and giving you 2 individual bytes as output. Hi, I have a XY system and use a CNC file to move it. Everything works OK, except for the following: when CNC execution starts, the system rushes at high speed to (X=0, Y=0) point, and only then goes to the first line of the CNC file. If one of the axes is near 0, the system jumps and immediately stops with an error. In the CNC file settings (screenshot attached) I specified low default values for speed/acceleration and a start position different from 0,0 - but all that is ignored. Any idea how to avoid that move to 0,0 ? Thanks.

I had an issue aswell, I was trying to use docker and got stuck on the specific line ' Downloading https://download.microsoft.com/download/9/5/A/95A9616B-7A37-4AF6-BC36-D6EA96C8DAAE/dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe' within install2.sh - which is actually from the https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Winetricks/winetricks/master/src/winetricks, winetricks_selfupdate(). Would love to know if anyone has a known solution. Only other thing I can think is to download winetricks +.net, update the winetricks to point to the downloaded .net? Granted Im not too savy with Docker so I have been struggling on figuring that part out- would love any suggestions!

Hello, You use the WAGOUpload tool. You can download it on the download center of WAGO. Make a backup and restore it on the new device. (if can check the remanent data to copy the persistent variables if necessary) You can also use a SD card, go to the WBM copy it the image to the SD card and restart the other controller on the SD card. In the WBM, copy it back to the internal flash. If you contact your local Wago office, they will more than probably help you. There is also a WAGO forum. RP,
