I'm installed the CODESYS Control for Linux SL package and am trying to use the Extension API to call a simple C function. When I get to the step to run "make all" on the Linux machine, I get the error: build interface header: out/CmpFirstTestItf.h from CmpFirstTestItf.m4 ERROR: This functionname does not contain _cext (this is mandatory, see help for details): DEF_API(void',CDECL',external_struct__fb_init',(external_struct_fb_init_struct *p)',1,0x1F77E075,0x00000001) Why does "Generate Runtime System Files" create a function that does not have cext in the name? What am I missing?

Solved: I started from a fresh project and everything worked. I had a Function Block in the project at one point and deleted it. I think Codesys doesn't fully clean up on deletes.

I am deploying a webvisu on Codesys 3.5 SP 19.2 with legacy user management. I noticed that when a user logs in, some text and a rectangle I have (for aesthetics) both disappear. I made sure that none of the objects in question are linked to a state variable. Anyone know the cause/solution to this? Nothing crucial to the machine's function is lost, but it is a little annoying.

Hey schnepper, when i look into your c-file, i would say that only the main-function is declared with cext-addendum in your codesys-library-project. all yöur funtions in library has to be the cext-addendum when the external implementation is activ. if i remeber right, methods and other subelements dont need that, but every base-elements

Initially I had the same problem in CoDeSys when selecting a newly installed TTF font, while CoDeSys was running. I solved it by closing Codesys and running it again to restart the initialization process. After that, using the new font did not pop up errors. I also had cases with files that had a ttf extension, but were actually not TrueType.

Hi, I need to accesss to project information of a referenced library in the project. At least I need the "Released" flag from these information to check that no project gets shipped with unreleased libraries. Unfortunally, I do not get this information by script. Hello, I'm working on a project which includes Panel-PC which communicates with a PLC through Modbus TCP/IP. On the PLC I have a CODESYS code which has Modbus slave objects. The Modbus slave objects have to have manually set IP address in order for them to work properly and the Ip address has to be the PC-Panels's IP. This project is going to a customer and they're using their own IP address realm. So, my question is that is it possible to configure these slaves in some other way, so that the customer doesn't need to modify the CODESYS project? I was thinking that would it be possible to set the IP address of these slaves from external source?

Hi Jack, I think you have to look at a FB in a different way. A Function block (Class) can contain its own data. In other words don't define loose data in your GVL, but define a instance of a FB (Object) in your GVL: Example: Function_Block Basic_Class VAR_INPUT Open_Command: BOOL; END_VAR VAR_OUTPUT Opened: BOOL; END_VAR if Open_Command then Opened := TRUE; ELSE Opened := FALSE; END_IF Global Variables Objects: ARRAY[1..100] OF Basic_Class; //Here you ar defining you objects END_VAR In your code you can directly acces the data and couple it to the IO: GVL.Objects[1].Open_Command := %IX0.0; %QX0.0 := GVL.Objects[1].Opened; //To call the code itself use: GVL.Objects[1](); If you want to take this a step further you are also able to add methods and properties to the FB/Class end thereby creating a OOIP program

I have added a models in SiOME which a software to design nodes and add instances. and created a resultant xml file. I tried to import the xml file to Codesys through OPC UA information model Repository the problem i don't know how to view my objects which i have designed. and map it to my PLC to make viewable on my server UaExpert. I watched the tutorial video https://youtu.be/aJhzN3Uk-Do?feature=shared. But it only give you how to add the Information model, and my resultant model doesn't have information type. So how in Codesys i can view a model which i have designed in SiOME and mapped my instances (Objects, Variable or methods) with my Variables in PLC I saw people do it in Tia Portal or other Software, but i have no clue how to do it on CODESYS

Update: We managed to avoid the warnings by changing the order of initialization by adding an attribute to the GVL with the variables. {attribute 'global_init_slot' := '49989'} The variables are initialized right before the regular GVLs (default GVL slot 49990). Note to Codesys: I see the problem, Codesys needs to initialize the CNC objects before the GVLs so they can be used in the GVL. But then you can't use variables from GVLs in CNC programs. Maybe you could disable the warning in your generated CNC objects? At least a note for a workaround would have been nice.

Now i am running to problem, when i create instances and i want them to appear directly under the object directory, However, it always appear with me under Objects >> Device set >> Device Name in CODESYS. I need to know how i can change the directory of my instances 'inst_3' and so on. So they can be under objects directly. I tried to modify the settings, but couldn't find any leads till now. The connection guide says I need to add a symbol configuration by right-clicking on the application and adding it, but it does not show up in the available objects. Is there something else I have to do to create a symbol configuration object?

Dear reader, I am using the codesys JSON utilities SL, 1.9.0.0 library. And then specifically the FB JSONBuilder. I need to create a main object with at least 2 objects in it. The first object is no problem, but I cannot insert the second object into the main object. See attached my code and the result I get. It turns out that you can build JSON structures without ever calling the JSONBuilder function block directly. Instead, create a pointer to JSON.JSONData and invoke the necessary methods on its dereference. The parent object has a parent index of -1 (and an index of 0). EVERY other item (including keys, values, empty arrays and sub-objects) created by the setX methods needs the index to increase by 1. Then use the JSONByteArrayWriter FB to generate your JSON string

We can I find the GUID / ObjectIds`? I wasn´t able to get details about the GUID of DataTypes (STRUCT/ENUM,..)m, Functions (FUN), GLOBALS and TYPES. So, I downloaded the package on another computer and installed it manually. But this package has dependencies packages: CODESYS.Control SL Extension Package, V4.0.0.0 CODESYS.Control SL Deploy Tool, V4.10.0.0 As I said, the computer with CODESYS is offline. I cannot use the package installer to search for these packages. I did not find them in Codesys Store with another computer. Do you know where to find and download them? Help wanted This is the first time i'm doing a Modbus Tcp project. I have some VLT with a extension module MCA-122. i'm currently unable to write to the VLT slave, but i can read from status word parameter=1603 and address := 16029 where the address is calculated from parameter is ((id x 10)-1). in the manual the functions that are supported are 3 hex, 6 hex, 10 hex, b hex and 11 hex. read holdin registers, write single register, write multiple registers, get comm. event counter, report slave id. i'm only using the Modbus Slave Channel is this wrong when trying to write to the vlt ?
