I am struggling with this issue right now (again). I have nested structures with configurable array sizes. In the past I ever used parameter list. Very easy way! As of now I cannot find any solution. Ridiculous that they deprecated it without an alternative solution.

Hello, As far as I know, no matter which home mode is selected, the axis must be in Standstill mode to run MC_Home according to PLCopen state machine. However, if the function you want can already be done from a parameter in the driver of the vendor you are using, you can try to perform the same function by sending the required value to that parameter via communication with the SDO write command. I'm trying to firm up alarming of axis faults. Declutter the code and figure out what's what. Diving into it, I see the AXIS_REF_SM3 function block provides uiDriveInterfaceError and dwErrorId, but I can't find any significance of these further than Drive interface error number Parameter number: 1014 and Drive specific error identifier, parameter number: 1031, respectively. Is there some corresponding appendix I could use to decode these? Also, is there any relation to the Error ID (of type SMC_Error) of the MC POUs? MC_Jog, MC_Reset, MC_MoveRelative, etc? If so, are the above errors redundant? Thanks in advance.

256MB for the protocol yes, but the default value for this library parameter limits the library to 6kB per task scan.

please post your codesyscontrol.cfg and codesyscontrol_user.cfg in most cases there are misconfigs or missing entrys the reason. also the fact that in most cases codesys isnt running as rt-application on raspberry needs special eyes on

Hallo zusammen, Ich mache +/- erste Schritte mit RaspberryPi und Codesys: tolle Sache! Ich habe Codesys V3.5 auf einem Raspberry Pi 4 am laufen. Ich würde damit gerne einen Profinet-Slave bedienen. Die Kommunikation läuft, nun habe ich das Problem dass ich nicht verstehe wie ich den PN-Task mit dem PLC task synchron halte: Ich muss dem Slave eine Parameter-ID übergeben und beim nächsten Zyklus die Antwort auslesen. Da es dann mehrere Parameter gibt die ich nur sequentiell auslesen kann benutze ich also einen Zähler der mir die ID's durchstept. Aktuell sieht es aus als ob dieser Zähler schneller inkrementiert als der Slave antwortet (ich habe z.Bsp. 5 Parameter, diese zeigen dann alle das gleiche oder springen zwischen den Parametern). Also kurz gesagt ich muss sicherstellen dass die Datenbytes vom Slave zur gesetzten Parameter-ID passen... Ich wäre froh um ein paar Tipps! Herzlichen Dank! Grüsse, Stephan A. Wicki

Hi, unfortunately, in Softmotion you have only access to the combined fraction - the scaling factor from user units to motor increments. It can be accessed using MC_ReadParameter with parameter number 1054. increments = user_unit_position * fScaleFactor

Update as of 2025: This function (IECStringUtils.FormatDateTime) doesn't make any sense there isn't any parameter that accepts a Date_Time value. I have no idea what's purpose even is. I am going to use StuSprintf from the StringUtils library for this purpose.

I have now renamed my recipe to Parameter and now use SaveRecipeAs. The correct folder is displayed in the dialogue box, but the recipe is not saved. What could be the reason for this, write permissions? Recipe manager buggy?

I am trying to show a PDF in a WebBrowser element. I have the file saved to the drive of the HMI/PLC. I am linking it in the URL parameter of the WebBrowser using the following directory link. 'http://localhost:8080/$$sdcard$$/FileName.pdf'. This allows for the program to download without any errors. When I navigate to that screen it is just a white box and nothing shows. I attempted putting the same link in the show parameter and I get a loading icon on my cursor when monitoring the HMI with my PC. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Help wanted This is the first time i'm doing a Modbus Tcp project. I have some VLT with a extension module MCA-122. i'm currently unable to write to the VLT slave, but i can read from status word parameter=1603 and address := 16029 where the address is calculated from parameter is ((id x 10)-1). in the manual the functions that are supported are 3 hex, 6 hex, 10 hex, b hex and 11 hex. read holdin registers, write single register, write multiple registers, get comm. event counter, report slave id. i'm only using the Modbus Slave Channel is this wrong when trying to write to the vlt ?

I can't answer why it's not resetting, but from the description of g_udiMaxReceiveBufferSize, I would guess the sum of sizes of the mqtt packets received in one cycle exceeded this value. The individual structures were declared in a separate global variable list on a trial basis. But even this did not change the behavior. A total of 1667 variables are processed in a recipe. A reduction (e.g. saving only the first three drive parameter sets) also brought no change.

It's a bit confusing, the two RPI is the same (board, OS, runtime, programing with Codesys V3.5 SP20 P2) but the one has a codesyscontrol.cfg file and the other has a codesyscontrol_user.cfg file. Shouldn't be the same? And because I over Codesys 3.5 SP 12 this would be the '_user.cfg' for both. Attached...

Hello, Working in 3.5 SP11 32 bit and using the 3S CANopenSafety Slave 3.5.11.0 library on an IFM CR711S. The 3SCSSD.CANOpenDevicesSIL2 function block keeps throwing "UNSAFESTACK_NOT_OPERATIONAL" Additionally, the Status of the device gives "There was an error accessing an I/O parameter". Any ideas on where my issues may lay? I have not found any good documentation that would explain the issue.

Any reason BIT and BOOL data types are not interchangeable? Trying to make a function which takes a BOOL IN/OUT parameter (Not allowed to use BIT) In the main logic if I make a DINT variable, and want to use each bit on different functions CODESYS will not allow it.
