Hi There, I took over a project from a colleague (in GTB) who left the company. When I took over his project, it wouldn't compile because some libraries were missing. I managed to recover quite a few libraries, but I can't find the library that contains the block functions shown in the image. Here are a few examples: Fb_RegMel_ISO Fb_DefModbus FbDecalConsSalSO Fb_Autor_FreeCool_CTA_C I'm a little stuck at the moment, so if you see a Facebook post that speaks to you, don't hesitate to get in touch! I still cannot enable persistent manager for my project (and successfully login to a device). Project compiles with no errors but during download/login it fails with the fairly limited message "one or more errors occurred". The only clue I get from the system that this messages is displayed during "Generating code..: relocation pou". Any tips pointing me in a direction how to solve this very much appreciated!

Hello, I have a Raspberry Pi 3 which has a printer connected to his USB port. I have a PiFace Board on the Raspberry. I have a python script file (.py) to print a logo + a text. The script is working because when I execute it from the Raspberry terminal it works. Now, when I push a button on the PiFace I would like to execute the python script file to print. The problem has been resolved. Two findings are described below for future reference. The new RPi hw delivered during August 2025 has a MAC address from a new vendor series that is not supported by old runtimes. 4.17.0.0 or above is required. 4.17.0.0 does not pick up the correct architecture during installation and aarch64 has to be manually configured either in the GUI under operations or in /etc/codesyscontrol/CODESYSControl_User.cfg under the [CmpRasPi] section.

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on a project using Estun Pronet servo drives with EtherCAT communication, and I need the appropriate ESI (EtherCAT Slave Information) files to set up the network. The specific models I'm using are: Pronet-04AEG-EC Pronet-02AEG-EC-R1 Pronet-10AEG-EC-R1 Pronet-20AEG-EC-R1 Pronet-50DEA-EC-R1 If anyone has the ESI files for these models or knows where I can download them, I would greatly appreciate your help. Problem solved, Once the perform_network_scan() is done, y just had to recover the address and using set_gateway_and_address(). Dear Eschwellinger, Thank you for the response. Does that mean that the license-manager inside the Codesys-IDE does not work with this setup anymore? Because when I use this I get the notification that there is no dongle attached to the device (see picture). And If I insert the license by the deploy tool, can I then redeploy the Codesys virtual control container, or does this erase the license completely?

Hi All, Seasons Greetings! I have Codesys V3.5.19 patch 5 installed on a Windows 10 PC. I have received a program which is for Codesys V2.3.9. First I tried to convert it but had many conversion errors. I am wondering if it is possible to install Codesys V2.3.9 on same PC without affecting the V2.5.19 installations. Is this possible? SVN123

Hi Edwin, Thanks for the message. My apologies I should have researched this more thoroughly before posting on here. I found a solution to my issue on this post: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/6455efaa17/ I needed to run the 'CODESYS Installer' as an Admin, then install the RPi package v4.10.0 in to my package (v3.5 SP19 Patch 5). Hi albert1999 and forest, I hope you are well. I too am wondering if you have found any solutions? Im working with a RPi and a Omron R88D-ETH servo amplifier. The SoftMotion is timing out after 30min without the license, but I cant figure out how to license it, and I seem to have some compatibility issues between my RPi license and any SoftMotion licenses. Did you guys have any luck? Thank you very much for any assistance offered. Toby

Hallo, wie verhält es sich mit der Demo-Version und Datenübertragung z.B. via CAN-Bus. Der Bus läuft, das Device befindet sich im Zustand "Operational" aber es werden keine Daten von der Soft-SPS empfangen. Ich benutze aktuell eine nicht lizenzierte Version von CoDeSys Control for Linux ARM64SL. Normalerweise sollte die Demo-Version uneingeschränkt laufen - also kann ich davon ausgehen, dass es sich um einen Programmierfehler handelt oder ist die Feldbusfunktion ohne Lizenz doch in irgendeiner Form eingeschränkt verfügbar (außer dem 30 Minuten Limit nach Reboot)?

hi guys Maybe someone can help me in this case. Im working with codesys 3.5 with an PFC200 (750-8212) with a Modbus TCP conection to the 750-362. On the 750-362 i have a 4DO, 8DI and a RS485 interface card. the 4DO and 8DI cards a working fine but im strugling with the rs485 card. Does someone have a example for this?

Good morning, I am currently working on implementing a display dimmer. I want the display to dim after X minutes. This works so far. The implementation is done via the Linux subsystem, to which a command is sent to dim the display. However, my problem is resetting the timer when input is received. I want the dimming timer to be reset with each click/touch. Unfortunately, I can't find a suitable solution for this. Are there any ways to do this? Codesys v3.5 SP19 Patch 2

hello jdj this question can be answered well with a pretty good forge documentation: https://forge.codesys.com/drv/io-drivers/doc/Generic/ u r also able to create in codesys directly an iec-code by using the i2c-interface as driver using the codesys ide and st depending on the stepperdriver, used in yöur hat, its possible that an driver is already available in the device-repository. which mcp-device is used on the hat?

I can see the screen from PLC, but i also want to se Input and Output the PLC . I try to scan the network by useing tosibox Gateway but its not working. Where i should looking the problem ? Hallo zusammen, grundsätzlich sollte ja die Möglichkeit bestehen den Raspberry auch als SPI Slave zu nutzen. Leider habe ich kein entsprechendes Projekt gefunden, bei dem dies der Fall war. Kann mir jemand dabei weiter helfen, wie ich bei Codesys Control for Raspberry , die Konfigurationen für den SPI Slave machen kann? Der Master soll ein Microkontroller sein von einem anderen Gerät sein. Ich arbeite noch mit 4.10.0.0 und einem Raspberry Pi 4 Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße

Okey, thank you! Do you think it is something in this library, that makes it possible to do the configuration in a PRG? https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/IODrvEtherCATDriver/Current/IoDrvEtherCAT.html#id1 I think the codesys modbus libraries support configuration and connection to modbus slaves without having to add the slave devices in the device tree. Just do it from function blocks inside the program. I was hoping for something similar with EtherCAT.

I bought and installed SoftMotion Light now. When I try to add a SoftMotion Light Axis to my stepper drive and I go online it shows: "The license is missing or invalid". See picture What am I doing wrong? This is the right way right? First add your EtherCat XML-File from your stepper driver and then add the SoftMotion Light axis right? Thanks for your help esave

Update: I started over. I saved progress at each step. all compiled zero errors, zero warnings. Pre-processor messages remain, but I can make progress. Until I try to re- load the project file in Codesys. Re-loaded files error as above when compiled, even though they compiled error-free immediately before saving. Is my installation borked? (Not easy to re-install due to IT madness...)

Good morning, I think that the mode Simulation does not support the Softmotion functionnality because it runs the CODESYS process with normal priority wich is not a good thing for real-time behavior. If you want to test your PLC project, please use a Codesys Control Softmotion (and your computer must have the Ethercat driver installed) or much easier, download your code into the C6 Smart. BR

Hello, what would be the most efficient way to check whether the file exists or not. I don't want to use file.Open function, it seems like rather inefficiet operaton. I considered GetAttribute function, but this function doesn't accept filename (with path) as an input. Basically I need to check first time when program is loaded to the runtime i.e. when application is started for the first time, whether a file exists on the specific location or not.

Using V19 Patch 7 and 4.11.0.0 for Pi 4 Model B, My problem is whenever I change a tag e.g bool from true to false it will change in software but the pin will only go high to low after pressing stop PLC in codesys and same if i want to bring it back to high, have to login start plc change it and stop plc in order to change. any insight ? thanks
