Hi, I had a question about alarm management in the CODESYS visualization. I am currently investigating to what extent the alarm visualization can be built dynamically. In my program, I have developed a motor block that is used for multiple motors. When the emergency stop of one or more motors is activated, the corresponding motors are displayed in the alarm list (see image). This works quite well. I achieved this by linking variables to a latch, after which a piece of code displays the motors that are in emergency stop. My question is: do I need to create a separate latch for each motor or can I use a single latch to display multiple alarms of a motor underneath each other? This would then look like this: Time…: M1 Emergency Stop Active Time…: M4 Emergency Stop Active

Hi Reinier, What usually works for me is settings it up in the following way: In the sender block make sure that the list identifier is unique for the whole installation (this is only relevant when you have multiple senders in 1 network). When you are linking the NVL to a file make sure that the path to this file doesn't change. In my experience the NVL stops working when you change the working directory and afterwards open the NVL in de Codesys IDE. If this doesn’t apply to you application, you could also try to change the port number, maybe there is an other process making use of port 1202. Kind regards Alex

Hello everyone, I'm using the IoT Library to implement the MQTT communication with my local broker server in order to publish and subscribe at specifics topics to share and consume information about my application. But, it seems that are occurring some memory leak problem in a "high" frequency (more than 10 Hz) subscribe process. I follow the same method as in IoT Lib exemples, and at first looks perfect but my PLC was rebooting frequently and when I check its memory usage that was increasing as fast as the subscribe massage was sent. I'm using a WEG PLC410 and a WEG PLC500, and this error occurred in both of them (including in CODESYS Control Win x64). The application sends to the system a message JSON with the float payload Ex. {"data" : 0.8500}, but this happens with a INT, or BOL as well. Hello, I am writing to You with the problem of Profinet communication in my Codesys V2.5 SP21 project working on Codesys Control RTE V3 x64 device. I have implemented multiple Profinet devices in the network, the Profinet itself is configured properly, based on the hardware and software parameters of the industrial PC (Windows 10 IoT). My Profinet network contains such Profinet devices as a robot, IO-Link master with some devices on it, IO modules, safety, vision sensor (the configuration is attached to this topic). Once every few hours, sometimes more often, sometimes not even once a day, the error show up at one, two or a few random modules at the same time, every one is the same: "Station 'xyz': AR aborted by device (alarm.ind): AR consumer DHT expired". The communication is then lost with that module, but it is up instantly. It is not such a problem when it comes to regular IOs, but with safety or rotation table, it causes errors and machine stops. I have tried multiple solution based on any forum suggestions, manuals, etc., but it is still happening. Mabye when I turned on the Watchdog for this communication, it is happening less times, but still, I could not turning up the Watchdog parameters at the expense of cycle time of the process. The same is with Send Clock, Reduction and DHT. I have one of the ethernet port on the PC configured with CmpEt1000Drv driver. The card itself is Intel Ethernet Connection I219-LM. These devices are connected to one EKI-2728-NI-A Profinet switch (it was changed from the standard non Profinet one, but still nothing has changed). As I said ealier, I am attaching all the configurations for each device and the communication itself - if any of You had the same problems or have any ideas what could be the cause, I would be much gratefull for any help. looks like you are running in a bug in the newest version 4.4.0 of the profinet library or the new library triggers a bug in your code. did you update your profinet device too? you could try to downgrade to an older version of the library. via library manager - placeholders, double click Profinet 4.4.0 in the library column and choose an older version.

Hey Everyone, I'm having a bit of a struggle finding settings that will reliably maintain a connection between the webvisu and a touchscreen client. Every so often the HMI disconnects and will perpetually display the red spinning arrow with the "Error Happened, Will resume automatically" text. Power cycling the HMI to force a reconnect will re-establish comms. It seems to happen during periods of inactivity if that's a clue. From what I've gathered so far this seems to have something to do with the webvisu update rate, buffer size as well as the visu task scan rate. We first tried the default settings as follows: Webvisu Update Rate: 200 ms Webvisu Buffer Size: 50,000 Visu Task Scan Rate: 100 ms Priority 31 Other Tasks for Reference: Main Task Scan Rate: 100 ms Priority 1 Alarm Manager Scan Rate: 50 ms Priority 31 Ethercat Task: 4 ms Priority 1 This would disconnect some what regularly. We then made the following changes to try and stabilize: Webvisu Update Rate: 150 ms Webvisu Buffer Size: 75,000 Visu Task Scan Rate: 75 ms Kept other tasks the same. This seems to disconnect even more frequently. Also for reference the network is very small and only consists of the PLC, a small switch and the HMI. We're also not controlling frames from outside the visu program itself. The frame changes are all done natively. Any suggestions to get this to stop disconnecting? Oh and whatever the issue is the log does not record it. Figured I would ask here before opening a ticket. Thanks in advance for your help!

For instance MC_Gearin has beeen triggered, but starting point of master axis to start the sychronisation movement is not reached yet, so the slave axis is just waiting for this. Hi yotaro, hope your problem was resolved. I had the same, but with an other library title. This exception is not detected during compilation, but rather at a given position in the program (when switching to a given visualization). Although the exception is generated at this point, it does not involve the visualization in question. This error is due to one of 3 reasons: 1) A division by zero somewhere: The program is able to detect divisions by zero at compile time. But in the case of a variable, which takes a valid value at init and changes to 0 at a later stage. 2) An invalid pointer: (either because it has a value of 0, or because it points outside the memory reserved for the program) is being dereferenced. Locate any pointers or interfaces you have in the code and check them - you should also be wary of mixing inline modifications and pointers. 3) Array overflow: Generally when a processing operation is executed outside the array's definition range. Example: a write loop with n iterations is executed on an array of dimmension n-1. On the other hand, the error message may not appear. In the latter case, the error may have fatal consequences, as the overflow has induced writing to potentially forbidden memory areas. This problem can be explained by the fact that it's not always the adjacent memory areas of PLC_PRG that are overwritten, but the memory areas that are randomly allocated to the array during compilation. In this case, however, there is no entry in the log, so you need to integrate the "Implicit Check function", which checks the line of code generating the error. To integrate this functions, click on Application --> POU for implicit controls Regards,
