Dear reader, I am using the codesys JSON utilities SL, 1.9.0.0 library. And then specifically the FB JSONBuilder. I need to create a main object with at least 2 objects in it. The first object is no problem, but I cannot insert the second object into the main object. See attached my code and the result I get. I am assuming that I am doing something wrong with the parent index but have tried a lot and can't get it done. Kind regards, Rob

HEllo, I need to connect with PLC XV300 , the problem is for me not simple. The PLC have remote control by Tosibox VPN tunel. I can see the screen from PLC, but i also want to se Input and Output the PLC . I try to scan the network by useing tosibox Gateway but its not working. Where i should looking the problem ? DO i need added special library ?

Hi, With the new Runtime Based User Management, is there any way for WebVisu clients to be logged in to a default user automatically - no login prompt? I would like for the default user to be able to perform normal operation of the machine, without logging in to the WebVisu. This is possible with the Legacy User Management. For the Runtime based user management, there seems to be a default user for the TargetVisu - but not for the WebVisu. -Bjarne

Hallo Martin, Thank you so much for the Code example. It works really fine for .porject Types. However, I encountered a challenge when attempting to apply it to .library Types. I also tried the option to "Perform static analysis automatically after compilation" # get Project values myProject = projects.primary # Creates an active application app = myProject.active_application # build Application and run static code analysis app.generate_code() Could you please offer any insights into why this might be occurring?

Konkret habe ich die statische Codeanalyse erfolgreich für .project-Typen durchgeführt, und sie funktioniert einwandfrei. Allerdings habe ich Schwierigkeiten bei der Ausführung derselben für .library-Typen festgestellt. Hallo zusammen, grundsätzlich sollte ja die Möglichkeit bestehen den Raspberry auch als SPI Slave zu nutzen. Leider habe ich kein entsprechendes Projekt gefunden, bei dem dies der Fall war. Kann mir jemand dabei weiter helfen, wie ich bei Codesys Control for Raspberry , die Konfigurationen für den SPI Slave machen kann? Der Master soll ein Microkontroller sein von einem anderen Gerät sein. Ich arbeite noch mit 4.10.0.0 und einem Raspberry Pi 4 Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße

Hallo zusammen, ich bin über die Arbeit auf ein Problem in der Simulation gestoßen. In einem Test-Projekt haben wir eine Modbus Verbindung aufgebaut. Dies wollten wir mit Test-Werten simulieren. Verbindung hat auch funktioniert, jedoch sind leider die Werte eingfrohren und melden keine "laufenden Daten". (Bild im Anhang) Da es meine ersten Berührungspunkte mit Codesys sind und mein Kollege an anderer Stelle weiter arbeitet, hatte ich gehofft, dass vielleicht hier jemand eine Idee hat. Hello everyone, I encountered a problem in the simulation while working. In a test project we set up a Modbus connection. We wanted to simulate this with test values. The connection also worked, but unfortunately the values are frozen and do not report any “current data”. (Picture attached) Since these are my first points of contact with Codesys and my colleague continues to work elsewhere, I was hoping that someone here might have an idea. Hallo, Über die Benutzeroberfläche von Codesys 3.5 kann ich unter Backup/Restore eine tbf-Datei erzeugen und laden. Ich suche nach Möglichkeiten beide Schritte über meine HMI durchzuführen, um z.B. ein Backup über die HMI auf der SPS oder einer SD Karte zu speichern und ebenfalls über die HMI ein Backup von dort oder von einer SD Karte zu laden. Ich habe bisher leider gar nichts im Netz dazu gefunden. Hat da jemand einen Tipp für eine Bibliothek oder ist das eher herstellerspezifisch gelöst, dass ich dort nachhaken sollte? Danke im Voraus.

Is it possible to get scroll bars to show when displaying a web visualization in V2.3? I've got some big pages that I can scroll around when using the in-built visualization but when they are displayed in IE i can't seem to scroll around. All I can do it drag the window bigger onto my other display to get access to the extra area. I've also tried zooming the page out in IE but this doesn't seem to work at all.

Hello Matteo, I think the problem is about configuration of firewall (windows firewall usually). You can disable temporary the firewall to check if the communication works. Eventually you can: Go to the control panel -> Windows Defender Firewall -> Allow an app or feature Enable the options to change the settings. Scroll down in the application list to CODESYS and CODESYS ControlService. If you don’t see this application add it to the list. Make sure that all the checkboxes are checked (Domain, Private and public).

Good morning. I'm working with a Weidmuller controller using Codesys. My project use OPC-UA to communicate an application in my pc with the controller. Yesterday, I installed the license of the controller and test it, and the communication works perfect. I use the communication with anonymous login, and works fine. But, hours later, the anonymous login don't work, and the controller only allows connection via OPC with username and password. Someone know why this happend? Thanks

Hello Vincent, I don't have 75 channels but it works for me as described above without any problems. There is also a parameter MAX_MODBUS_CHANNELS in the library parameters for the IoDrvModbusTCP module. The default value there is 100. Perhaps you are reaching the limit there? The value can be adjusted accordingly. I assume that this value is not accepted in the input dialogue and therefore the 'fixed' limit value 10 is used.

The generic sensor FB is for controlling the sensor via its cyclic input (PDI) and output (PDO). In this case, ifm raw cyclic input and output data are WORDs (16 bits total) The PDO data from the Buerkert unit are SINT (8 bits) In this case, I would use the unpackword fb from the CAA memory library to unpack the valve feed back value into the appropriate location.

thank you for pointing me to this "bug"!! I haven't recognized, the bit is reset after the first alarm is gone. I use this only for warnings, so it's not a drama, but was not correct in the past. I solved it now simply stupid by counting up a variable every time an alarm appears and decreasing it if an alarm is gone. The "warning lamp" is activated by checking the counter is > 0 The nice side effect, i'm able to show the number of active alarms in the state line now.

Hello I'm using Codesys V3.5 SP19 Patch 6 and a Raspberry PI 5 4GB Bookworm 32bit with the Runtime 4.11.0.0 SL. I can install the runtime and download the software completly but after a few seconds the connection disconnects with the message no connection to device. Please scan network again. And the object reference was not set to an object instance. See screenshot. Can somebody help me with that? Thanks

there is a new problem with latest bootloader version. Hello, I am experiencing difficulties in configuring a CANopen device by sending SDOs. In particular I am attempting to write an Object Dictionary that has VISIBLE STRING as the Data Type. When I try to configure the sending of an SDO from Codesys to configure this parameter I am not allowed to enter a string value. In my particular case I am trying to change the Manufacturer Device Name ( Index 0x1008 ). Could it be that Codesys doesn't manage these types of variables?

Hi peterned, the start position given in the CNC properties is only used if you use the compile mode OutQueue. With compile mode SMC_CNC_REF, you need to provide the start position in the IEC application. The function block SMC_NCInterpreter has an input piStartPosition. You can initialize it with the output of the forward kinematic transormation FB for your machine. In your case probably SMC_TRAFOF_Gantry2. Best regards, Georg
