Post by manuknecht on Maximum dynamic limits of MC_MoveLinearAbsolute and MC_MoveLinearRelative CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello all I use an axis group with two linear axes in a kinematic system. Using MC_MoveLinearAbsolute and MC_MoveLinearRelative, I am trying to realise dynamic movements (set velocity: 1 m/s, set acceleration: 30 m/s^2) with the highest possible jerk, as I want to compare this with a movement with a trapezoidal velocity profile. However, my measurements show that the axes accelerate with a maximum jerk of approx. 800 m/s^3, even if the value in the function block was set to 10,000 m/s^3. I have already increased the dynamic limits of the two axes accordingly (Velocity: 5000 u/s, Acc-/Deceleration: 250'000 u/s^2, Jerk: 100'000'000 u/s^3, where 1 u = 1 mm), but this had no effect. I have checked the input parameters of the function blocks and the VelFactor, AccFactor and JerkFactor factors are all set to the maximum (value 1). Reducing the cycle time has resulted in a higher jerk, but as we are already working with a cycle time of 1 ms, there is nothing more that can be done here. The axes themselves are still a long way from drawing the maximum current, which is why I assume that this should not be a problem either. Are there other factors or parameters that influence the dynamic limits and therefore allow faster movements? The PLC I am using is a Raspberry Pi 4 and Codesys V3.5 SP20 with all libraries up to date. Thanks in advance Manuel

Post by kreisfilho on Stop raspberry from executing a plc program CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi guys, Can someone inform where in a raspberry pi are stored the codesys programs? I´ve been training the use of a RPI as PLC, which works pretty well, however while both the RPI and PC (running codesys) remain connected to the same network. The question is: how to run the codesys program downloaded to the RPI as a stand alone device (disconnected from the PC)? Thanks! Kreis

Post by timvh on Specify Input Configuration "OnDialogClosed" Action to only react to certain Dialogs CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
What maybe helps is the Visu Dialog ST demo project: https://store.codesys.com/en/visu-dialog-st.html This has an application IECOpenDialog where dialogs are opened using the VU.FbOpenDialogExtended function blocks. The fbOpenConfigurationDialog call has a reference (interface) to the "close listener" FB of which it's method is automatically called when the dialog is closed. This way you can create specific function blocks for each dialog when it is closed and do what you want with the data that might have been changed.

Post by marks on Siemens G120X via Ethernet/IP CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
The goal is to control a Siemens G120X VFD via Ethernet/IP. The .eds is installed into the device repository. The VFD is added and is using the connection and assemblies from the eds. It appears to reach the VFD but fails to establish a connection. The status message is: Diag String: 'Adapter configured. Open all connections.' The PLC is a raspberry pi 4, running codesys target version 4.13.0.0. The development environment is CODESYS V3.5 SP21 + (64-bit). Anyone have experience with this combination? Alternately, where should I look next? Thank you, Mark

Post by davidbo on All the things needed for anonymous login to OPC UA CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
When you have a deep object structure where not all values are not exposed to OPC UA, the top object will not have a V check mark but be filled fully out. In that case CODESYS do not always registrate changes to inner object. Solution set a V in the checkbox of the top object, build, download. Now you can browse, but all values in the top object will be selected, then you can deselect the ones you don't want, build, download and it works

Post by mp9876 on Device User Logon CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi everyone, Had that problem before where I could not create another user but used the method just above and it worked great. My problem now is that I get this message when attempting to logon to the device: invalid user authentication on the target dev5, the new user created is pretty much a copy of the user 'Owner' except for the password. Any idea as to why I am always getting this "invalid user authetication on the target" message ? Using Codesys V3.5 SP19 Patch 6 + (64 bit) Regards

Post by ryusoup on 'keep last value' option in CODESYS EtherCAT CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I’m using CODESYS EtherCAT Master on a Raspberry Pi controller with several remote I/O modules. I’m facing an issue where the input values from the remote I/Os drop to 0 when a connection error occurs. Is there a way to configure a “keep last value” behavior (i.e., hold the last valid input) instead of defaulting to 0 on communication loss? Best regards,

Post by rossanoparis on How to configure CODESYSControl_User.cfg in order to use a specific network card for OPCUA Server CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello at all I'd like to know how to configure CODESYSControl_User.cfg in order to use a specific network card for OPCUA Server. In the past, I tried to ask in "Forge" about this topic, but I could find neither help nor document informations about it. Reading the file "codesyscontrol.log" I see these logs OPC UA Server Started: Hostname: NTLRPICTRL01, Port: 4840 URL: opc.tcp://NTLRPICTRL01:4840 Loopbackadapter activated. **All available networkadapters are used.** Multithreading activated. 3 workers used. My controller, which is a Linux PC, has got two network cards eth0 and eth1 I whant to use the card with name "eth0" as a server for OPCUA and keep the "eth1" free for other stuffs. Is it possible ? Best regards Rossano
