you need to switch to a realtime capable plc. Do not map variables, this will be done by the SoftMotion. And check the Ds402 parameters in the generic parameterview on the Softmotion Connector.

Hello, you probably fixed in this meanwile, but I think your problem comes from dependencies of other libraries. I see in the Project column of errors the "caa types extern" and "caa fb factory", that both have dependencies. Try to check there. Regards, Francesco

I am using Scara3 kinematic with EtherCAT PLC. The robot stops at the same place randomly after few cycles. Check attached image. I am getting SMC_ERROR.SMC_DI_FIELDBUS_LOST_SYNCRONICITY in all 3 axes.

This is from 10 years ago, I know. But I have been using (SLAVE_DEVICE.iChannelIndex = CHANNEL_NUMBER) AND (SLAVE_DEVICE.xDone) I suppose that it shows xDone for the channel that shows up in the iChannelIndex at the same cycle? It seems to be working properly for two devices that I have been using it before But now I have another device and using two write channels, for one register each. One channel works properly and returns DONE flag When another channel is triggered, I see that it shows up in iChannelIndex, but flag DONE not received, but no Error for the channel. Also, when i check the register in the device it's evident that data has been transferred. Is this could happen sometimes with CODESYS, so DONE flag not received? Or this is a problem with a given device? With this certain register

I'm having some troubles with this same issue and I'm wondering if someone can help me out. On a settings visual I allow the operator to enter some values however if they activate the page change button it will change the change with the Numpad dialog open. Since I'm using Visuelems.CURRENTVISU to change the pages I came across this code noted below for determining if the Numpad dialog was active. This code worked great however now in 3.5.19 it's now obsolete. I've tried following the directions in the attached program above however I can't see to get it to work in my program. Can anyone provide some help to determine if a dialog is open? Hi, when it comes about license, I used INVTmatic Studio, which uses Codesys, for programming INVT plc. I bought Codesys Modbus license, it was not expensive, and then realised that INVT didn't have License Manager option (greyed out in program) which is needed for using of Codesys License. I contacted support from INVT, but developers told me that option is still not available. So depending on environment for programming Codesys, you can or not use Modbus license. Good thing about this version of Modbus TCP it works both direction. I could send commands and receive feedbacks from drive. But communication stops after 30 mins. So I used simple version of ethernet modbus which is somewhere in INVT or Condesys library (I can check tomorrow) which works only one way. I could send cmd to drive, and control it, but didn't have any feedback, like some readings back in PLC. which is bad, but at least I could start it and it didn't fail after 30 mins.

Hello everyone, I am with Codesys SP21 Patch5, there is an "Action" column in the Messages view, located between "Description" and "Project". Does anyone know how this column is supposed to work? I could not find any information about it in the CODESYS documentation: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/_cds_cmd_messages.html I tried using it with Static Analysis Light, for example with the unused variables check, but the Action field remains empty. I initially thought it might provide a quick fix, such as automatically deleting the unused variable, but that does not seem to be the case. I am also developing some IronPython scripts and was wondering whether it is possible to populate this column with a custom action, allowing users to trigger a predefined command directly from the Messages view. Has anyone worked with this feature before or knows if it is exposed through the scripting API?

Thanks for the suggestion - I updated everything via the CODESYS Installer and restarted, but I'm still hitting the same error. What I did - Updated via Tools > CODESYS Installer - Visualization system libraries (VisuElems, VisuElemsAlarm, VisuInputs, VisuNativeControl, etc.): 4.7.0.0 -> 4.10.0.0 - CODESYS Control for Linux SL: 4.15.0.0 -> 4.21.0.0 (based on CODESYS SDK 3.5.22.20) - Restarted CODESYS Development System Checked project environment (Project > Project Environment) after restart - Compiler version: 3.5.22.0 - Library versions: all up to date - Visualization Profile: CODESYS Visualization 4.10.0.0 - SoftMotion version: 4.20.2.0 Result: compiling with Device = CODESYS Control for Linux SL still fails with the same error: "Overlay is not supported for your target visualization device." The custom HTML5 control is still disabled/missing from the Toolbox with this Device selected (same as before), and still appears normally when I switch the Device to a Windows target. Is there anything else specific I should check (e.g. a setting on the Device description itself, a different SL package/edition, or is WebVisu overlay for custom HTML5 controls simply not implemented yet for CODESYS Control for Linux SL regardless of package version)? Any pointer appreciated.

We have a few different communications set up as shown below: One Modbus TCP Slave Connection - ( Sending / Receiving Data from a PC ) Two Modbus TCP Master Connection - ( Reading Data from a UPS Panel and Reading Data Gas Chromatograph) One Modbus RTU Slave Connection 485 - (Reading Data from a fire and gas panel) One Modbus RTU Master Connection 485 - (Sending Data to a Telemetry Unit) All Licenses have been installed as per OPTO22 suggestions of the order below: Modbus TCP Master Modbus TCP Slave Modbus RTU Master Modbus RTU Slave When I check on License manager the RTU Master license seems to disappear on installing the RTU. (What ever reason I’ve been told this is “normal”). If I use Device License Read It will successfully read all the licenses correctly. Now the issue is every 2 hours and between 4. For what ever reason the communications seems to end and lock up for about 20 seconds. During this time even if I was logged into the PLC it would kick me off and I’d have to re type the password to enter. Most of the devices can handle this however the RTU flags up a communications failure at the SCADA and is raising alarms every 2 hours and 4 mins. We’ve had multiple people go through the code to check for anything obvious. Does anyone have any ideas?
