Hallo zusammen, Ich mache +/- erste Schritte mit RaspberryPi und Codesys: tolle Sache! Ich habe Codesys V3.5 auf einem Raspberry Pi 4 am laufen. Ich würde damit gerne einen Profinet-Slave bedienen. Die Kommunikation läuft, nun habe ich das Problem dass ich nicht verstehe wie ich den PN-Task mit dem PLC task synchron halte: Ich muss dem Slave eine Parameter-ID übergeben und beim nächsten Zyklus die Antwort auslesen. Da es dann mehrere Parameter gibt die ich nur sequentiell auslesen kann benutze ich also einen Zähler der mir die ID's durchstept. Aktuell sieht es aus als ob dieser Zähler schneller inkrementiert als der Slave antwortet (ich habe z.Bsp. 5 Parameter, diese zeigen dann alle das gleiche oder springen zwischen den Parametern). Also kurz gesagt ich muss sicherstellen dass die Datenbytes vom Slave zur gesetzten Parameter-ID passen... Ich wäre froh um ein paar Tipps! Herzlichen Dank! Grüsse, Stephan A. Wicki

I'm trying to enable a CODESYS license (Soft container) on our product running ARM64 linux. I have a need to send messages between 2 PLCs and I cant use network variables (because of size limit) so I tried writing this simple test program. This seems to work fine. I can send messages back and forth when a first "Start server" and then "Connect client". See the attached image. However, if I disconnect the client by setting ClientConnect to false and try to re-connect then the TCP_Client just gives me TIMEOUT error. When I stop and start the server again, then Im able to reconnect. How is this supposed to work? Why reconnecting wont work. There is not other way of disconnecting the client than setting xEnable of the TCP_Client to false. This is just a testing program and I will try it on 2 seperate devices once this works. I'll be capturing a hex stream over serial into a RasPi and I'd like to convert a group of bytes into a float. I see this is available (https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/cdsoperatorrealto.html) but not its inverse (i.e. BYTE_TO_REAL). The packets will be 18 bytes but I'll be selecting 4 byte segments from the middle, swapping byte endianness (i.e. changing 0x51847641 to 0x41768451), and converting to float; I believe they adhere to IEEE 754. Is there a pre-built function for some or all of this, or do I need to follow (https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Engineering/thread/dc5829c7ea/)? Thanks!

Hi there! I'm testing out modbus TCP/IP for my home brewery, using Wago PFC200 as both slave and master. I'm using Wago library WagoAppPlcModbus. Holding registers, input registers' and discrete inputs works fine, but when trying to write multiple coils, it doesn't work. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? Attached is a screenshot of my code. I tried both using bit mapping and without. If I change to FC05, and write only 1 coil at the time, it works fine. But I want to write all at the same time.. Any help is very appreciated :)

We just installed (we have a tested image) and added a license Now the license policy has changed and we have to buy a License Control Basic S or M However it only works with CODESYS Development System Version 3.5.19.10 or higher Does that mean we have to upgrade all our old products? That is not a simple task as a previous post has explained with weird error messages from CODESYS V3.5. Next we have to do rigorous testing of our applications afterwards. It is very expensive

Hello, I am using the CODESYS IIoT Libraries SL MQTT Publish. Does this publish block only support publishing STRINGS as a readable format? I can publish ENUM, STRUCT, BOOL; however, MQTT Explorer will only display strings. When I use Wireshark, I can see that it is publishing something, but it looks to be publishing a serialized version which is a bunch of 0s or random text. If so, is there any way to deserialize this information back into a readable format? See pictures, where I have a BOOL TRUE that gets published as 001. Then see where I publish a STRUCT and it's an incomprehensible combination of 0s - only the string variable is displayed. Or, is it expected that you convert everything to a string before publishing? Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks for your responses. The close listener sounds like an interesting approach, will have to see what I can do with it. I actually solved it as suggested by sturmghost by setting an enum variable to a certain state as soon as I open a dialog. This way I always know which dialog was opened last.

Codesys Installation : worked Codesys Starting : worked but right after start it stopped. with Start Runtime it starts again but stops automatically after 5 seconds is Codesys planned for Raspi 5?! What worked for me with this error was to go to Tools -> Update Raspberry Pi, select Install, and from the popup screen, there are options to change your installation (I changed it to single core, instead of multicore), and I was then able to connect to my Rpi 4.

Try to repair Codesys2.3 and need to uninstall and reinstall it. Got this RUNDLL message when uninstall Codesys 2.3: There was a problem starting, the specificed module could not be found. Please refer to attached file. Followed suggestions from Microsoft website and didn't work out. I am using Codesys2.3.9.16. Any help is appreciated.

Sometimes you just need to pose a question on a forum and re-read it to get clarity. pGeoInfo := SMC_GetObj(poq:=ADR(fbCncInterpreter.poqDataOut), n:=1); This won't work, I'm providing a pointer to a pointer, as poqDataOut is already a pointer! I just need to remove the ADR() and it works. pGeoInfo := SMC_GetObj(poq:=fbCncInterpreter.poqDataOut, n:=1);
