I have found a very interesting solution using: IoConfigTaskMap IoConfigConnectorMap IoConfigChannelMap The first is the list of IO tasks. The second is the connector for each IO module in the IOMap. The third is the individual input or output on the IOMap. One of the properties of the connector is another pointer to a connector, which corresponds with the connector of the EtherCAT slave. Through this information, it is possible to understand to which EtherCAT slave an IO connectormap corresponds. I am attaching an FB that allows for the construction of an IO map and finding the pointer to the actual IOs in the IOMap based on the bitoffset. Thank you for the response! It's a path I had already considered, however, while it has always worked for me on inputs, it doesn't on outputs, because if I enable the option to update all IOs at every scan, the IO tasks overwrite each other. However, I have found something very interesting which I am posting below.

Hey, you probably already solved this, But I am posting to anyone coming over this thread with the same issue. Just hold your mouse cursor til black screen pops up. Right click and Left Click Maximize. There Something wrong with how the window minimizes in Codesys. Only happens once in a while. God luck to anyone with the same problem.

Hi John, Coincidentally I also tried creating a custom kinematics model for a parallel delta2 like the picture I added. bipod_rotary doesn't seem to do the job. Have you accomplished a working model? I'm stuck on error: "smc_cp_invalid_path_elem" while im certain my math is correct since we made it work using single axis movements. Maybe we could help each other Best regards, Joep

Initially I had the same problem in CoDeSys when selecting a newly installed TTF font, while CoDeSys was running. I solved it by closing Codesys and running it again to restart the initialization process. After that, using the new font did not pop up errors. I also had cases with files that had a ttf extension, but were actually not TrueType.

I have tried to locate the fault in the Call Stack but I dont know what to do now... I have updated the projects properly for the version I am using. This fault started happening after like 14 days of using the new version of CODESYS.

I´ve been training the use of a RPI as PLC, which works pretty well, however while both the RPI and PC (running codesys) remain connected to the same network. Hello, The title pretty much says it all. When trying to open a FB from the CFC/Ladder/SFC editors while online, the FB does not open in an online view of that specific instance. Instead, it opens an offline view with '???' shown for the value of any variable. This makes debugging extremely cumbersome, as I have to find each FB in the POU window and select the specific instance I am trying to view. Anyone know the cause/solution for this? Thanks.

Hello, We encountered the same issues on both recipe library versions 4.2.0.0 and the newest 4.3.0.0. The Arrays of structs get saved correctly but loading them restores only some indexes, while others get lost or completely wrong. We have been using the same recipes for the last two years on recipe manager vers. 3.5.17 withoud issues. There also seems to be a different behaviour in vers. 4.3.0.0 but it's still incorrectly loading the recipes. Did you find any workaround or solution? Codesys version used: 3.5.19.50

Dear Forum, I recently updated to the newest Codesys IDE (3.5 SP19 patch 5) The program wouldn't download cause of the amount of OPC-UA server tags (see picture) I'm not planning on using the OPC-UA server and therefore I unchecked the "Support OPC-UA features" checkbox in the symbol configuration. But this didn’t solve the issue of the OPC-UA server exceeding its license. How can I disable the OPC-UA server while still maintaining the symbol configuration. Thank you in advance Alex

Hello everyone, I encountered a problem in the simulation while working. In a test project we set up a Modbus connection. We wanted to simulate this with test values. The connection also worked, but unfortunately the values are frozen and do not report any “current data”. Hi everybody We are currently working on a project with an RS232 serial COM interface and using the CAA SerialCOM library. We have it working fine reading and writing data, although we have found an issue we cannot resolve and any suggestions would be helpful. We have noticed that after a while the RS232 stops working. We have tracked this down to the HANDLE hCom keeps increasing and when this reaches 1023 the COM returns an unknown error "5003". Is there a way to reset this hCom reference? Thanks Richard

For whom may not know why always get error code 16#4000 or 16#4002 while performing Recipe commands, the root cause is There is a line need to be inserted in CODESYSControl.cfg file, which is PlaceholderFilePath.1=/var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic/ I am using Pi, therefore the above path is set to my pi unit, after adding above line to my cfg file, all the Recipe commands work fine. But I still do not know how and when this file got modified though.

I have been trying to set an array value to a JSON structure of this form: {"key": [1,2,3,4]} While I have been able to create the key and set its value to an empty array, I've not had any luck in putting any value in that array. objindex:= fb_JBuilder.SetKeyWithArray("Key6", diParentIndex := diRootIndex); objindex2:= fb_JBuilder.SetValue(value:= iValue2, diParentIndex:= objindex); iValue2: ARRAY[0..3] OF INT:= [1,2,3,4]; The two lines of code above produce {"key6": []} . The second line essentially has no effect.

Just to share, for those who as me are seeking for this and had found no information anywhere in this World: Every time I stop/start the PLC runtime ( turning into 'Stopped' or 'Running' state ) the 'CODESYSControlService' appears at the Taskmanager list, which could suggest a straight correlation. I was expecting a clever solution, but this one solves for while.
