Hello, CODESYS Control is running on my RevPi, and my system communicates over a CANbus with a master using the ConnectCan module (Slave - CANopen Device). The communication works perfectly fine so far. However, as soon as I call a Python script with "SysProcessExecuteCommand2" that creates a CSV file and executes without errors, the master does not adopt any changes to the Transmission Process Data Objects (TPDOs). I don't quite understand what one has to do with the other, and perhaps someone can help me with this. Here is my script call: SysProcess.SysProcessExecuteCommand2(pszCommand:='python /home/pi/test.py', pszStdOut:=sCMDOutput, udiStdOutLen:= SIZEOF(sCMDOutput), pResult := ADR(eResult)); Thank you in advance! Hi, I have an issue with a function which sends a message through API Rest. I'm using a function from httpCLient library. I have tested this function inside a program and it works fine. But when I want to use it inside a function (so I can call it simultaneously from 2 different points on the main program) it gives a stack overflow error. In detail it says: "C0297 Stack Overflow on Main Task. Stack sizes... Call hierarchy:" I have simplified as much as I can the function, but I'm hitting a wall with this. Anybody has an idea of what's wrong? Thanks!

pretty sure its not. ive done a cross reference and only have one write that sets it to true. Only way i can stop it is to remove the function block call from the main pou that is running said case. its got me stumped:/

Could this be turned into a library? I'd love for a way to have the main program call a function block method using the program's I2C_master device. I assume I should be passing the master as a variable for the function block, but I don't see how that could be achieved

Solved! Go to Control Panel -> Windows Defender Firewall -> Allow an app or feature Enable the options to change settings. Scroll down the list of applications to CODESYS and CODESYS ControlService. If you do not see this application, add it to the list. Make sure all checkboxes are checked (Domain, Private, and Public).

With that I could make an array of varying size, but would still have to define the array type in the function's declaration VAR_IN_OUT stArray: array [*..*] of <pre-defined data type> END_VAR I wanted a function that could take an array of any type (e.g., a structured VAR) as an input. That way I could call it in multiple POUs to handle different arrays structures.

Hello, I have been using CODESYS for a while and after updating to version 3.5.18.50 the code randomly stops with this fault. Why is that ? I have tried to locate the fault in the Call Stack but I dont know what to do now... I have updated the projects properly for the version I am using. This fault started happening after like 14 days of using the new version of CODESYS.

What maybe helps is the Visu Dialog ST demo project: https://store.codesys.com/en/visu-dialog-st.html This has an application IECOpenDialog where dialogs are opened using the VU.FbOpenDialogExtended function blocks. The fbOpenConfigurationDialog call has a reference (interface) to the "close listener" FB of which it's method is automatically called when the dialog is closed. This way you can create specific function blocks for each dialog when it is closed and do what you want with the data that might have been changed.

Hello? I have a problem with datasource... I am trying to connect to a OPCUA server. I create a datasource, but I can not login into it. I need to use login credentials to login... Everything works fine in UAExpert, but in codesys I cant seem to get in properly using the login credentials... I have tried to configure the datasource initializer but seem to keep failing... Do I need to call it somewhere ? Will the find endpoints work with this configured to store my password ? !

I'm having trouble with the initial loading of recipes. I can create them and load one or the other, but when the program restarts the recipes are not listed. I'm calling: RecipeManCommands.ReloadRecipes and then RecipeManCommands.GetRecipeCount which returns 0 recipes. None of the methods returns error and if i call them again after RecipeManCommands.CreateRecipe RecipeManCommands.ReadAndSaveRecipe getRecipeCount returns the number of recipes created. When i restart the system, once again they are not listed even though the recipe files are there. Any ideas? Martin Btw, Codesys 3.5 SP 16 Path 9

I found a way to do it: You can use, for example, the text variable property of any visualization element and call a function in it. Example: Write a test POU as a function (FUN), like MyTestFun which need a boolean Variable as an input value. Now write into the text variable property: MyTestFun(bBooleanValue) Thats it. The function is called at each visu_task cycle.

OK.. so maybe I miss understood for how the forcing order works. It seems that the force list is applied at the beginning of every task call (I'm assuming this based on what I am seeing). If I force my variable FALSE and then write it TRUE in a task, then it stays TRUE for that task, but then in the next task it will go back to FALSE.

When I get to the step to run "make all" on the Linux machine, I get the error: build interface header: out/CmpFirstTestItf.h from CmpFirstTestItf.m4 ERROR: This functionname does not contain _cext (this is mandatory, see help for details): DEF_API(void',CDECL',external_struct__fb_init',(external_struct_fb_init_struct *p)',1,0x1F77E075,0x00000001) Why does "Generate Runtime System Files" create a function that does not have cext in the name? What am I missing?

Hello. I'm trying to use RecipeManCommands.ReloadRecipes Method for getting recipes from files. When I call the method it does not generate any error but also not reload any recipe to the recipe definition. Actually I have 6 recipe files on the directory PlcLogic. The rest of the methods work creating recipes, saving to file, etc. Does any one have the same issue? it is something to be set on the recipe manager?

Ah - forgot another question as it may be related to the PLL problem: I am executing a 4ms cycle. I do not call (from what I know) the Ethercat_MAster periodically in my program. The bus cycle task is set to the Ethercat task. I would assume that the master should send 250 frames per second. Yet, the status of the master says it transmits 500 frames per second which would indicate that the master is called twice. Any ideas there?

I had the FB called via a for loop to call a few instances of my FB I have removed it the for loop and just called them 1 by 1. I have a project called 'DemoProject' and a library called 'DemoLib'. Create a visual control named "DemoVisu" in the library, with a selection box of type "ComboBoxInteger" in the space. Now 'ComboBoxInteger' requires a 'Text list'. This "Text list" is provided when I call the "DemoVisu" control of the "DemoLib" library in "DemoProject". And this text list is in 'DemoProject'. I found that 'ComboBoxInteger' no longer works at this time. Other visual controls that use text lists also have this issue. I hope there is a good solution to this problem.

Goodmorning, I would need to set a control station that can manage a PLC network. In short I need to access to all visu programmed in any PLC of the network (LAN). I was thinking to use a PLC with buttons that call, by mean an IP address, the visu of any PLC. I don't know if it is possible but I saw that there is a RemoteVisuTarget that run CODESYS Control Win V3. Can someone suggest me how to create a remote main control station from a normal PC? Hi, I'm connecting to a OPC UA Server using the Data Soruce Manager OPC UA Client. This works well until the OPC UA Server updates and the OPC UA list doesn't match up when i did last clicked the "Update variables" to add variables. All the variables are still the exists and none are removed from the server, but more are added during the engineering process. The error message i get in CODESYS is "Error in OPC UA call BadAttributeIdInvalid, Error ID: 268468277". The issues is fixed when i press the "Update variables" button and just press ok without adding or removing any variables in the list. Is there a way to either automatically update the browsepath if it fails or on startup, or to trigger it by code?
