When a G75 command is received in a SoftMotion+CNC project, SMC_NCInterpreter does not generate any error commands, but the command does not continue execution! There is information about SMC_NCDecoder in the documentation of the G75 command. Is this command only supported by SMC_NCDecoder? Can the G75 command be used with SMC_NCInterpreter? I'm having a serious issue with codesys-pro/git, because everytime I load my project I get around 40 unstaged changes with equal objects. If I only commit everything along with my real changes I strugle to locate them later. I've tried creating a new git repository, it didn't work. I've commited everything, it kept appearing. I've tried rolling back everything but it also didn't work. Does anyone know why this happens and how to manage it?

I'm using Modbus TCP/IP to communicate Codesys with Elipse E3 as the master for a college project. I have made a list of global variables to organize the programming in two different POUs. The problem is, when I try to do the mapping of variables, the program informs me of an error due to the identifiers having a "." on their names. Do I have to reorganize my code to make it an unified block or is there a way to declare their names without changing all the code structure?

After updating my Codesys to later versions, it seems my device repository no longer lists the proper runtime devices, nor ethernet adapters, or other previously installed device descriptions. What needs to be done here? Do I need to uninstall and do a clean install? I am now updating to SP21.1 to see if that fixes it. Any tips what I am doing wrong here are much appreciated. I don't see codesys control win, or have the ability to add an ethernet adapter in my project.

Hi! I am using abb ac500 in automation builder v2.7 I have a problem with a new project. In the normal mode I have no problems, but in safety mode i cannot go online. I get 'Communication Error (#0) Logout Performed' message. I have tried changing the adress (level 1) in communication parameters. I tried 0.0.0.0.0 and 0.1.0.0.0 and 1.1.0.0.0 but it did no difference. What do you think could be causing this? Thanks!

Dear @gseidel, @tk096, I noticed that with SoftMotion V4.18.0.0, if a new axis is added to the project, the ramp type selection defaults to "Quadratic". In all previous versions, the velocity ramp type selection was "Trapezoidal". This causes some unexpected issues in projects with SoftMotion version V4.18.0.0 for newly created or newly added axes to existing projects. Is it possible to reconsider this situation in the next update and set the velocity ramp type to "Trapezoid" by default again? Best Regards, Imdat

Hello everyone, Updating and converting an existing working Codesys Softmotion axis control project to the latest Codesys IDE and Softmotion version always gives the following error message during compilation. " [ERROR] sm3_basic, 4.18.0.0 (codesys): MC_MoveAbsolute: C0138: No matching 'FB_Init' method found for instantiation of SMC_MoveAbsRelPerformerImpl " -- Previously working version: Codesys IDE SP18.50, Softmotion 4.10.0.0 -- Later updated version with the error: Codesys IDE SP21.10, Softmotion 4.18.0.0 Has anyone encountered a similar issue? the TCA9548a does not work in Codesys. In Pyton this is only queried once and in Codesys cyclically. Of course you can also insert a terminating resistor in each port, then you should have no problems. Hello I not sure if I made this topic under the right category. But I have a error, when I try to run a simple code on simulation or PLC. I have also tried to make a fresh project. I am testing the PLC and want to see if there is some way I can make an actuator run. Please help by looking at the picture, Iam stuckd and I don't know how to fix it.

How the start position can be defined depends on the CompileMode: For File and SMC_CNC_REF: Set the start position input of SMC_NCInterpreter (https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/SM3_CNC/Current/SM_CNC_POUs/NC2/Interpreter/SMC_NCInterpreter.html) For SMC_OutQueue: * Right-click on the CNC object in the project tree * Select Properties * Select the tab 'CNC' * Set the start position Concerning your second question: If the new set position cannot be reached with the given velocity limit (AXIS_REF_SM3.fSWMaxVelocity), SMC_controlAxisByPos will report bStopIpo and close the 'gap' with the given gap dynamics (SMC_controlAxisByPos.fGap*).

It's good that you've found a workaround. But it's bad that you need one. The array length auf my struct is 16. My struct also contains other arrays of structs. It contains a total of 1716 variables. I have tested saving and loading extensively under version 4.3.0.0. It looks good. I couldn’t find any problems. Maybe it helps to reinstall the update (see previous post). Otherwise you could try my test project (first post). This should work with version 4.3.0.0.

Hallo Martin, Thank you so much for the Code example. It works really fine for .porject Types. However, I encountered a challenge when attempting to apply it to .library Types. I also tried the option to "Perform static analysis automatically after compilation" # get Project values myProject = projects.primary # Creates an active application app = myProject.active_application # build Application and run static code analysis app.generate_code() Could you please offer any insights into why this might be occurring?

Just adding some info regarding the issue above. Logged onto the project using dev3og5 user (see screenshots); appeared to be ok although when attempting to logon to the device message says 'currently not authorized to perform this operation on the device' (screenshot). If user dev3og5 has same permissions as Owner user; why would it not be authorized. I am at a loss; any assistance would greatly be appreciated. Thank you Mike

Hello everyone, I encountered a problem in the simulation while working. In a test project we set up a Modbus connection. We wanted to simulate this with test values. The connection also worked, but unfortunately the values are frozen and do not report any “current data”. (Picture attached) Since these are my first points of contact with Codesys and my colleague continues to work elsewhere, I was hoping that someone here might have an idea. Hi everybody We are currently working on a project with an RS232 serial COM interface and using the CAA SerialCOM library. We have it working fine reading and writing data, although we have found an issue we cannot resolve and any suggestions would be helpful. We have noticed that after a while the RS232 stops working. We have tracked this down to the HANDLE hCom keeps increasing and when this reaches 1023 the COM returns an unknown error "5003". Is there a way to reset this hCom reference? Thanks Richard

Hi All, I'm using codesys on a raspberry PI. I use V3.5 SP18 Patch 2 development system and codesys for raspberry pi 4.8.0.0. Sometimes when I build the project I get error messages C0007: Expression expected instead of ',' and C0032: Cannot convert type 'Unknow type: '!!!'ERROR'!!!" to type 'POINTER TO IoConfigParameter'. I can't click on the message to bring me to the fault. After I do a "Clean all" the build finishes successful. Anyone who can help me with this problem? Thanks! Remco Borghuis

Good morning. I'm working with a Weidmuller controller using Codesys. My project use OPC-UA to communicate an application in my pc with the controller. Yesterday, I installed the license of the controller and test it, and the communication works perfect. I use the communication with anonymous login, and works fine. But, hours later, the anonymous login don't work, and the controller only allows connection via OPC with username and password. Someone know why this happend? Thanks
