Hi All Not sure what im missing here but i seem to have a lot of issues when i start a project say at home then try to open it at work the next day on another pc, using same version of Codesys. I try the build option when opening the project but still get loads of placeholder,library and some random errors i'm not to sure about. have tied project Archive, which is better, but not perfect. Can someone tell me what im doing wrong!. Cheers

Hi George, I do not know what the problem is with the syssocket implementation, but when i read the forums it seems the Net Base Services library is the recommended way to go. There is another more extensive example here: https://forge.codesys.com/prj/codesys-example/plc-chat-nbs/home/Home/ I have just tested this example and it works very well, also with closing and opening the connection from hercules... good luck!

How large and how complex? It's tough to make a recommendation without additional details. The simplest thing is to just use data arrays (or even arrays of arrays). Hi pernockham, I think you should ask your device vendor. For some time I used one from an Italian company where they had made a library where you can manage the ip with a function (something like SetIPAddr...), it was based on connmann on linux. From my little experience is better to use the "default" way, so for me is to manage the config file on interfaces or use the ip addr utility

Bonjour DIEGORAMONM, très recemment,je pense avoir résolu un problème similaire en allant dans le Placeholder (Espace réservé) du Gestionnaire de bibliothèque. Dans cette nouvelle fenêtre, je sélectionne la bibliothèque qui pose problème, et dans la colonne du milieu je clic pour définir une bibliothèque de version inférieure. à la compilation, je suis passé de 484 erreurs à 0. :) J'espère que ce sera également le cas pour toi. Bonjour Diegoramonm, Je pense avoir eu un problème similaire. Je l'ai résolu en dégradant la version de la bibliothèque qui me posait problème après également une mise à jour. Ouvrir le gestionnaire de bibliothèque / Ouvrir l'onglet Espace réservé / La fenêtre Placeholders s'ouvre. Sélectionner la bibliothèque voulue puis double cliquer sur la bibliothèque(carré jaune)concernée et choisir une autre version. puis recompiler. Pour moi cela a marché du 1er coup : chance! Bon développment!

I managed to recover quite a few libraries, but I can't find the library that contains the block functions shown in the image. Hi, I'm having some trouble with an OPC client connecting to the PLC. It could be that the problem is on the client side of things. The PLC have UPS power, but the switch and OPC client does not. It could explain some of the log messages. Could any of you help debugging by the log messages in the attachment? And if possible point me to the right library that explains the different messages? Hi everyone, I’ve connected and configured an MCP23017 over I²C on a Raspberry Pi using the available CODESYS/RPi library. Input reading works fine (I can reliably read a digital input). However, I can’t get any output pin to change state. Example: when I try to drive PB0, the watch shows MCP23017.Out_B.0 = TRUE (1), but there is no actual output on the pin (no voltage change). Anyone solved this?

Maybe you have the "Devices" tab open(?), but the "templates" are in the POU pool. You can open it from the menu: View - POUs, or if it is already open, select the POUs tab which is normally next to the Devices tab. All objects which are part of a library are in the POU pool, because they should be device independent (at least most of them).

Hello, We encountered the same issues on both recipe library versions 4.2.0.0 and the newest 4.3.0.0. The Arrays of structs get saved correctly but loading them restores only some indexes, while others get lost or completely wrong. We have been using the same recipes for the last two years on recipe manager vers. 3.5.17 withoud issues. There also seems to be a different behaviour in vers. 4.3.0.0 but it's still incorrectly loading the recipes. Did you find any workaround or solution? Codesys version used: 3.5.19.50

Of course you can also insert a terminating resistor in each port, then you should have no problems. @eschwellinger do you have any examples of using a USB barcode scanner? I have read through the forums here and I am unable to find how to get the barcode data to populate in a text field without having to first click into the text field to activate it. Is there a library that allows you to access the barcode data? I am really new to this in general any help is greatly appreciated, hopefully you have a pretty clear example

Hello I am using FTP_CLIENT to donwnload/Upload a text or CSV file from FTP server. UpLoading from PLC to FTP server is working without any problem but when I try to download from FTP server I get an error. The FTP_CLIENT Block allows me to add URL but I do not where I can specify the direcory to save the downloaded file... is there anyone has an experience with downloading from FTP server using FTP_CLIENT block. I have a problem with the file transfer library. Namely, it does not work via the codesys server. (error 5; overtime, and visualization resets). They operate mostly in local chains. I tested different browsers and VPN from the router. It works everywhere, except through access from the codesys automation server. The client, having many machines under one account, prefers to keep it that way rather than use an individual VPN just to download a backup. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is? Sylwester M.

Dear reader, I am using the codesys JSON utilities SL, 1.9.0.0 library. And then specifically the FB JSONBuilder. I need to create a main object with at least 2 objects in it. The first object is no problem, but I cannot insert the second object into the main object. See attached my code and the result I get. I can see the screen from PLC, but i also want to se Input and Output the PLC . I try to scan the network by useing tosibox Gateway but its not working. Where i should looking the problem ? Hi everybody We are currently working on a project with an RS232 serial COM interface and using the CAA SerialCOM library. We have it working fine reading and writing data, although we have found an issue we cannot resolve and any suggestions would be helpful. We have noticed that after a while the RS232 stops working. We have tracked this down to the HANDLE hCom keeps increasing and when this reaches 1023 the COM returns an unknown error "5003". Is there a way to reset this hCom reference? Thanks Richard

Hello, I'm using CR711S from IFM and I would like to use the CAA Can Low Level in de Safety part. I already use it on the Standard part and it works properly. I would like to know if there is some restriction on using it on the safepart of the PLC (I tried but my PCL put himself in Stop...) ?
