Probably the enum from the library doesn't have text support. In that case you need to add your own TextList to the application. In the rectangle you should use the property "dynamic text" to link this object to the textlist which you have created yourself and then link the text index to your enum variable.

Furthermore, i have an issue where codesys doesn't let me set ReadWrite accesses to the variables in the "Type Mapping" place. The access will simply not be set. Has anyone ran int that issue?

Yep sure, though now that i think of it, its a pi 4. My bad. The whole ordeal was necessary to use the VGA666 adapter. That needs the old graphical system and GPIO directly on the CPU. Edit: Putty on the virtual development machine connects fine. But i did change the login/pw. The account is still a sudo'er so that should be all right. Edit2: Sorry i get a "Comment rate limit exceeded" from the forum. Then i'll add it as edit here. So i have tried the stock raspberry pi image on a different pi5 (truly 5 this time). Packages updated. Standard password. Same symptoms, no runtime deployed and long hang time. Hi! I was thinking of switching the OPC server config from "Symbol Configuration" to the "Communication manager" in the device tree. I Have a lot of arrays of structs that I have previously declared in the "Persistent Variable" object in the device tree. It seems as it is not supported to directly expose persistant variables to the OPC server like the "older" way of doing it in the symbol config. Is this correct? Do you recommend to just do it the old fashioned way, or should I edit the structure of the global variable list / persistant data / OPC server and set up the OPC server from the "Communication manager" object?

I have a turbine system that get in alarm under some condition (E.g low speed of turbine) and block the itself. When the system is stoped there is no speed turbine and the system cannot start. To give to the operetor the possibility to bypass the alarms, there is an acknoledgement alarm pushbutton. This bypass must not work for everyone but only for those client that perform the login by (User Management). Furthermore, if the user perform the (manual or automatic) logout in alarm conditions, the acknowlegment must be annulled and block the system again. To do this, I need to know if an operator is logged in the page and is working to fix the problem; otherwise the syste must autoturn off again. Now I go to study your solution, if I have explaned better and you have another idea tell me please.

Using Codesys 3.5.18.30 I am trying to work with an array of variable length in one dimension, but known in the other dimension. For example, using an array that represents a list of items, each with an attribute profile. I do not know how many items will be in the list, but I know that every item has 5 attributes, like size, weight, etc. Codesys does not seem to be able to accept this. I have referenced Data Type: ARRAY OF documentation page, which is not explicit if variable & fixed length array dimensions can be mixed. In the VAR_IN_OUT scope, I initially tried MY_ARRAY : ARRAY [*, *] OF REAL; which was no problem, of course. I then modified it to MY_ARRAY : ARRAY [*, 1..5] OF REAL; which throws C0006: ', or ]' expected instead of '..' among consequent downstream errors. I then used the Auto Declare -> Array Wizard, which accepted (asterisk)-(asterisk) and 1-5 for 2-dimensional lower and upper bounds. It output: MY_ARRAY: ARRAY[*..*, 1..6] OF INT; which throws the same error stream. What's the deal here? Is this possible?

Good morning, I think that the mode Simulation does not support the Softmotion functionnality because it runs the CODESYS process with normal priority wich is not a good thing for real-time behavior. If you want to test your PLC project, please use a Codesys Control Softmotion (and your computer must have the Ethercat driver installed) or much easier, download your code into the C6 Smart. BR

Hello everyone, I am testing the ModbusFB library tcp server and so far I am able to create holding registers successfully, however, I am trying to identify after each write which registers got updated (i.e. function code, write value). I can even see the var udiNumWriteRequests, which increases with every write. I noticed that there is logging with the LogStatusInfo method. After I call it I am able to read in the console stuff that I want. Nevertheless, this is only available at the logs and is not easy to decode because it consists on several messages, I would like to know if there is a way for me to retrieve this information from the function itself with pointers or if there is any way to copy the logs messages (assuming that I can filter them with the LoggingOptions to only show what I need) inside the runtime code and not in the console. Now I deleted the code from my project and the values are still works as persistant variables after ssh reboot it seems to me they retain as their previous value. So I am a bit confused, maybe 4.12.0.0 Raspberry Pi SL solved the persitent variable problem...

I would figure out, how to create a simple html webpage with 2 frames. One frame with buttons to select the plc. A second frame with hyperlink to the webvisu of the plc ("XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8080/webvisu.htm"). Selecting other PLC Button has to change the hyperlink in 2. frame. Costs only some time to figure out :-) Or setup a raspberry Pi with small visualization. Set up a button for each plc and add one browser element. Each button writes the URL of the depending plc to the URL setting of the browserelement. Costs 55€ for runtime licence and a Raspberry Pi.
