Hello. Msiexec is really touchy about right parameters alignment. Because InstallShield Setup handover parameters without initial space, "CODESYS 64 3.5.19.0.exe" /S /v"/qn /norestart" have to be formated with space after quotes. "CODESYS 64 3.5.19.0.exe" /S /v" /qn /norestart"

In my machine's operation, I need to display multiples tables containing arrays of structured variables. The arrays change during operation, and my supervisor has advised me to write a new bubble-sort for each array. I think I can make a function to sort an array of any data type. This was my own project, and I'm a relatively new coder. I want to know the weaknesses in my approach, and a better method, if one exists. As far as I can test, the function accepts an array of a structured variable of any size, and sort it by any VAR in that structure. But it relies heavily on pointers, which I've heard are bad practice? Hi all, for a deeper understanding of the Codesys RTE - I created a simple application with 3 IEC tasks (Ta,Tb,Tc) each with different priorities, and different cycle times. The application runs on Windows 10 in the Soft PLC CODESYS Control Win V3. If my understanding is correct, the RTE i.e. the Process CodesysControlService should spawn 3 threads (Th_a,Th_b,Th_c) which are executed with the defined cycle times, the priority of the threads should reflect the priority of the task set in the Codesys IDE. Does somebody have an idea, how I could identify the respective threads in Windows? Kind regards Andrej

Hi! I tried setting up the PLC I'm working with (Beijer GN-9373) to connect to a modbus master running on a laptop. I have an ethernet connection (via USB-C to ethernet) between the laptop and the controller. I have tried following tutorial on how to set this up. I have added an ethernet device with the IP-address of the PLC. Further I added a ModbusTCP_Slave_Device with default settings. I get the error "Failed to open TCP Port: 1" when I try to go online with the PLC. Earlier I tested the exact same set up with the soft PLC from codesys. I can then read/write values correctly with the Modbus master i have running on the laptop. Hope anybody can help me with this, thanks in advance!

Wanted to play a bit with a raspberry Pi 4 Model B HW 1.5 and Codesys. Regardless of the image (tried 32bit / 64bit version from Raspberry Pi Imager) and with all tested Codesys Control versions (4.2.0, 4.8.0, 4.10.0) and regardless if single core / multicore / 64 bit variant, always is the runtime stopped after about 30sec with the nice message: ooops... this runtime was built for RASPBERRYPI. Hardware version or firmware version not supported! (-7, 0x00000BB8, 0xFFFFFFFB) Whats wrong with it?!?!? I read a lot about the issue in topics from 2020-2021 but it always was stated with new Codesys control version issue will be fixed (4.4 for example) but still it is there.

Hallo, nach einer Umrüstung des RPi auf SSD habe ich den RPi neu aufgesetzt. Nach dem Installieren der Runtime (4.11.0.0 raspberry, all) auf den RPi kann ich das Gerät nicht mehr verbinden. Die Fehlermeldung lautet "Das gewählte Zielsystem 'Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi MC SL' stimmt nicht mit dem verbundenen Gerät 'Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi 64SL' überein. ID-Diskrepanz: Ausgewählt=000 0011, Online=0000 0012" Bei der Konfiguration des Laufzeitsystems kann man nur Multicore 64-bit (Aarch64) auswählen. Beim Aktualisieren des Gerätes im Gerätebaum habe ich Raspberry Pi MC SL in der Version 4.11.0.0 ausgewählt. Diese Version habe ich auch ausgewählt, weil nur diese Version für den produktiven Einsatz zugelassen ist. Die codesys Version ist frisch installiert, also 3.5.19.60 Vielen Dank für Ihre Hilfe

I am relatively new to Codesys and I'm trying to develop an HMI that displays what mode a particular device is in based on an integer value. I am currently using dynamic texts with a text list which works fine but I am looking for a way to display a particular string (ie 'Unknown') when the index doesn't match any of of the indices in the text list. I can enter 'Unknown' in the text property of the text field element which works as expected but it displays the single quotes on the visualization. How can I escape these quotes to simply display the word Unknown? Thanks!

I have a project made on a PL700 PLC with Codesys and an Asem Premium HMI panel. I don't have access to the physical PLC right now, so I'm trying to use Codesys Control Win V3 x64. I created the application and loaded "Codesys Control Win V3 x64" without errors, then I activate "Start PLC" from the tray. Asem cannot connect. I tried to use "localhost" or the local IP address and it doesn't work (it's the "CoDeSys Soft PLC Communication Driver"). I need to connect my local Asem runtime to a virtual Codesys application on my PC. How can I do it?

Help wanted This is the first time i'm doing a Modbus Tcp project. I have some VLT with a extension module MCA-122. i'm currently unable to write to the VLT slave, but i can read from status word parameter=1603 and address := 16029 where the address is calculated from parameter is ((id x 10)-1). in the manual the functions that are supported are 3 hex, 6 hex, 10 hex, b hex and 11 hex. read holdin registers, write single register, write multiple registers, get comm. event counter, report slave id. i'm only using the Modbus Slave Channel is this wrong when trying to write to the vlt ?

The Bus Cycle Task of the AXL F 2152 is set to Main Task and the "Always update Variable" is Enabled on each IO Module. My Main Task interval is set to 100ms and Priority is set to 0. I have tried other options and none seem to work. Your response to this issue will be highly appreciated.
