Hello, I am experiencing difficulties in configuring a CANopen device by sending SDOs. In particular I am attempting to write an Object Dictionary that has VISIBLE STRING as the Data Type. When I try to configure the sending of an SDO from Codesys to configure this parameter I am not allowed to enter a string value. In my particular case I am trying to change the Manufacturer Device Name ( Index 0x1008 ). Could it be that Codesys doesn't manage these types of variables?

Hello, I have a counter that increments an INT value once per minute I want to display this value in Minutes until 60, then Hours/Minutes thereafter on the HMI Codesys V3.5 SP16 I can divide the minutes by 60 to get hours, but then the minutes is still more than 60. Example: a process has run for 350 Minutes. I need to display "5 Hours 50 Minutes" But if it's only been 45 Minutes, I don't want "0 Hours 45 Minutes" , just "45 Minutes"

Hi, Recently I bought a CR710S controller from IFM. I installed Codesys V3.5 SP11 as recommended and all required packages (including the safety packages and the IOWrapper package). However, I can't even open the project template without getting errors related to libraries failing to load (below in the first print screen). Then, clicking ok appears only 2 errors (second print) and when trying to go to simulation and login I get another 2 different errors (third print). I really appreciate any help anyone can provide, I'm completely stuck on this right now.

Hello, I'm quite new here. I would like to create a new HTML5 visualisation. I have already imported some templates via the visualisation elements repository, this worked fine. However, when I want to open the html5control.html in the editor or create a new project myself, I always get this error: default filesystem storage could not be found. Did you add storages.plugin to the profile? I can't find this plugin. The Package Designer (V4.1.0.0) and Codesys Visualisation (V4.5.0.0) plugins are installed Can anyone help me? Hi I recently started learning Codesys SoftMotion. At first, I mainly used YouTube videos. I stopped at two videos where the same problem keeps recurring. fbReadPos( Axis := X_Axis, Enable := TRUE, Position => gAxes.lrActualPos); <- axis cannot move I checked the entire code line by line. Zero errors. GPT spits out nonsense, throwing up increasingly worse errors. And when I copy its code, it says the code is wrong and gets stuck in a loop of its own stupidity. Hello, Im using SMC_NCInterpreter and SMC_NCReadFile2 to read gcode program for CNC machine and what I have observed is that G51 and G52 is not smoothing the path. Machine stops in every point, what could I do to make machine pass through the points without stopping or what could allow me to use smooth path corretly if I use NCInterpreter. Im using it because I want to add variables to my gcode and its not possible directly from the CNC editor thats why I do use external file. Any ideas?

Hi Guys!!! I am experiencing an issue when trying to move 6DOF using SMC_GroupJog2 and MC_MoveLinearAbsolute, but I don't understand why, when I jog only X or Y, the coordinate I monitor just changes the X or Y value. It's true, but in reality, Joint6 is still running like the video. Am I wrong somewhere? Many thanks for considering my request.! Thanks for the suggestion, I have tried it eagerly: I have updated all packages to latest version with Codesys Installer and installed newest runtime and gateway on Raspberry Pi. Unfortunately, the error is still there. As soon as I add the SM_Drive_Servo to the device tree, I get the error below when generating the code. Hello I'm trying to use DirOpen to access a directory where then I can read/list the files inside. But I can't list any files because DirOpen.xError is always true. In eError the message is this: " ERROR_UNKNOWN Local library error ID (0: no error; 5101: time out)**** " I have in the file explorer the path 'C:\CodesysTest\Aluminium' and to make sure I also created in the plc a folder to 'prj/Recipes/Aluminium'. I tried using the different paths, but in both it happens the same thing.Inside the folder Aluminium there is two csv files, that I want to list. I added in the library manager CAA Files and CAA Types. I am using the example of https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/CAA%20File/Current/Examples.html#directory but not matter what I do, I can't get the list the names of the files. What am I missing?

Noob alert! I’m just getting my feet wet with CODESYS. I have a “Hello World” project in the CODESYS IDE. I’m using the Win SoftPLC on the same computer. I’ve added a Communication Manager under the Application node. Under that is “OPC UA Server -> IEC Symbol Publishing 01”. I also added “OPC_UA_Symbols -> Information Model”. I’m not sure I need the second thing. I was grasping at straws. I also set up several dummy symbols in the IEC Symbol Publishing 01 node. In my C# application, I am trying to get an instance of EndpointDescription from CoreClientUtils.SelectEndpoint(“opc.tcp://localhost:1217/Gateway-1”, useSecurity: false, 15000). I wasn’t sure about the “Gateway-1”. I found that in the CODESYS IDE under the project -> Communication Settings. When I execute the previous method call in C#, I get: “BadSecureChannelClosed”. I have no idea what that means. Any pointers to documentation are welcome.

Hello everyone, I am testing the ModbusFB library tcp server and so far I am able to create holding registers successfully, however, I am trying to identify after each write which registers got updated (i.e. function code, write value). I can even see the var udiNumWriteRequests, which increases with every write. I noticed that there is logging with the LogStatusInfo method. After I call it I am able to read in the console stuff that I want. Nevertheless, this is only available at the logs and is not easy to decode because it consists on several messages, I would like to know if there is a way for me to retrieve this information from the function itself with pointers or if there is any way to copy the logs messages (assuming that I can filter them with the LoggingOptions to only show what I need) inside the runtime code and not in the console. I have a main PLC with my CODESYS project on, including Web Visu. I also have a second device used for pump monitoring, all of this is displayed on a seperate HMI. I am looking at displaying the pump monitoring HMI on WebVisu so that I can solely use 1 HMI rather than having two. I can project the pump monitoring HMI into Chrome, and log in and it works fine. When I'm using the Web Browser element in Web Visu, enter my URL (device IP) it shows me the web page, but doesn't show me all of it. It uses parts of JavaScript for the login authenticiation and various other widgets. Similarly, I cannot get Youtube or Google to display on WebVisu either (possibily because of the same reason). Does anybody have any tips on how I can display the likes of Youtube or Google onto WebVisu so I can view it on my 7inch HMI (I suspect that if I can get Youtube or Google to work, then I will also be able to get my pump montitoring web page to work too).

Raspberry Pi 4 Codesys 3.5.20 sp3 Codesyscontrol 4.15.0.0 based on sdk 3.5.21.0 Hi all, I have found a lot of topics but none of them get me on the right path, therfore i started a new post. Usually i work with plc based systems and codesys but now im trying to create an project where i read out a serial data stream from an arduino connected by an USB port. in the future this need to be more arduino's but first trying to make it work with one I had my program working but i needed to update my raspberry pu to the letest version to get the mimo screen working. Now i tried several rules in the CODESYSControl.cfg and/or CODESYSControl_User.cfg files but i never get the com port opened. At this moment i have an file CODESYSControl_User.cfg with entry: [SysCom] Linux.Devicefile.1=/dev/ttyUSB0 I tested the connection with minicom and the data runs fluently. Can somebody help me with what could be wrong? the com port states ERROR_UNKNOWN 5004 when i tried to open.

Hi there. I have an issue to read and set time for the controller. In the issue many registers described as writable by 6/16 functions, and, in this time, also(!) readable! For example: I have time registers: min, hour, day, mon, year. By specifications it is possible check time (so I need always update these varibles in loop) and set time by writing these same registers, BUT how to set, if they will immediatle updated by current time after writing? So, I need to separate one address at two variables. I have seen option mark: Overlay of the process image by the holding and input register. I understand this so: When I READ by function 3, I will get variable that connected with the same INPUT address and when I WRITE by 6/16 this will change second variable that connected with HOLDING address. BUT, this mark doesnt work, when I write 6/16 and try to get by function 3, I will get written value instead INPUT variable. So, what to do?

Hi Duvan, You could make this in 1 single object (FB), Indeed don't use a function for this beacuse you need some memory to keep the old value. You ofcourse then need to add some code arround it that does something with the trigger and writes it back to FALSE again. Hi, I am trying to create a project using a raspberry pi, I have added the modules for the Pi and MCP3008. I have encountered som errors that I don't know how to track down. 1. The GPIOs give preprocessor errors, but I read that this does not prevent compiling. This seems to be true. I can build the empty project with no errors. 2. After adding a SPI master and MCP3008, the preprocessor errors double, but seem similar and the project again builds with no errors. 3. I add a DUT and GVL, with a function, and I get the following errors. They remain even if I delete these things. ------ Build started: Application: Device.Application ------- Typify code... Hi guys, I am working on an old project which using Codesys v2.3 talks to Beijer's screen TA150 (IX-Developer 2.20). Codesys v2.3 is different with 3.5 and Ecockpit. I know how to import the symbols from PLC to HMI for Codesys 3.5 and Ecockpit. However, I do not know how to do it on Codesys v2.3. I know that I can make excel sheet to import and export from the HMI and add whatever I want based on PLC. However, is there any quicker way of doing this? So that I can directly import the symbols (tags) from PLC (Codesys 2.3 to HMI).

Hallo Today I decided to perform an Update on my PFC200 but after the Update the Device was not reachable anymore. I tried reseting to factory reset. Software reset and so on, but nothing helps... In my Router I can see it, I cann SSH into the PFC200 but it is not reachable. Then I try to go back to 4.8.0.0 But now I get this error: [INFORMATION] Befehl SSH auf root@192.168.1.17 ausführen: Laufzeitsystem stoppen [FEHLER] Fehlerausgabe: /etc/init.d/codesyscontrol: line 34: /opt/codesys/scripts/init-functions: No such file or directory [INFORMATION] Standardausgabe: /etc/init.d/codesyscontrol: line 34: /opt/codesys/scripts/init-functions: No such file or directory Please help, I can't get this thing working... Hi, I haven´t noticed you put the comment here. I thing it´s a bit different. What I want is to have detail errors of technology in data type e.g. INT. This variable I would latch to the corresponding error msg but I would like to get it convert to text from the text list and not keep it in INT form. Example. Main error Valve Error: SubErrors 1 - Both sensors 2 - Not retracted in time 3 - Not pulled out in time In HMI Main error + latch SubErrors => "Valve Error: Both sensors" The benefit is that text lists are part of translation and can be easily manipulated. I know I can create whole string msg in PLC but then, it lose advantage of Alarm management. Thanks. M.

Hallo everyone, I am working on new PLC of Weidmueller that uses Codesys SP19. I made the upgrade at the Patch 4 coming from patch 0. Unce made the upgrade everything is working well in the progect except the web visu user menagent. In the new version, when I perfom the login, I cannot use the keyboard of the device; the window where to digit the user name and password opens, the buttons "OK" and "Cancel" work but the system doesn't allow to put input from the device keybord, the mouse behaves as it is an image. If I active the virtual keypad or numpad it works otherwise nothing. I am wondering if it is a bug of the new package or if I must set something else. Thanks in advance, Riccardo.

Hi, I'm currently reading and writing several registers with a Modbus TCP server as a subdevice of a Modbus TCP Client. If I read and write cyclically, there are no issues. The problem is this: I see there is also the option to write by "Application", which I would like to use. However, I don't know With the Modbus RTU client, I see there is a trigger variable, xTrigger, to trigger the writing tasks. However, I can't find any such trigger for the Modbus TCP Client. Does anybody know how to implement the trigger behavior for the Modbus TCP client? In particular, I struggle to find the exact "trigger" variable. I'm running Modbus Client version 4.4.0.0 Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm working with wago 750-8212 controller. I want to change the IP address of the Ethernet adapter from webvisu. I am using a Raspberry Pi 2B. Installed Codesys V3.5.20.1 64-bit and installed 'CODESYS Control for Raspberry PI 4.12.0.0' I am able to install the packages using the 'Update Raspberry Pi' option, but when I try to log into the RPi, in the Device tab it says 'Sacn fail. Please checl that the gateway is running and that its settings are correct'. My setup looks like this. I connected my RPi to my company LAN and also my laptop to company LAN (using HP Docking station). This setup worked when I installed 'CODESYS Control for Raspberry PI', but now I donot know how to configure the gateway. Could anyone please help me in finding what I have to enter in the gateway configuration? Thanks, Vamsi.
