Hello all, im working on a project that requires me to convert an old automation direct DirectSoft PLC d2-250-1. One of the problems im encountering is that all of the comments are attached to members of the different addresses. When i convert the addresses (1777 "C" registers, 777 X registers, and 20,0000 V registers) im running into difficulties keeping the inputs/outputs correct since they are missing documentation. Is there a good way to retain the comments of the indexes in the array? Secondly, initially i was declaring the "C" and "V" addresses individually and this worked to retain the comments as to which register did what, however i ran into a problem when one rung reset (or set to 0) approximately 600 C Addresses. Since each tag is separately declared this proved to be nearly impossible without a literal wall of code that attempted to crash the program. So i converted all of the registers (C,X,Y,V) into separate structs, declared them as arrays and pointed all of the original call outs in the program to the newly defined structs. However i have now lost comments and the program is very hard to follow. Thanks for any help with this issue.

The issue s the byte order typically in this case. Can be especially problematic with floating point numbers - even more tricky if transferred with a word based protocol. It is a peasant way to try out the alternatives, dword order can be a-b-c-d, b-a-d-c, c-d-a-b, d-c-b-a where a is the most significant, d is the least significant byte. So all you need is to swap the bytes in your dword, until you get the expected result. If you don't want to mess writing code for this, I'd recommend CAA_Memory library for that: MEM.ReverseBYTEsInDWORD and MEM.ReverseWORDsInDWORD functions would definitively do the trick. Otherwise, can do like this: VAR dwIn : DWORD := 16#11223344; dwOut : DWORD; rOut : REAL; pIN : POINTER TO BYTE; pOUT : POINTER TO BYTE; END_VAR pIN := ADR(dwIn); //pOUt := ADR(dwOut); pOUt := ADR(rOut); pOut[0] := pIN[3]; pOut[1] := pIN[2]; pOut[2] := pIN[1]; pOut[3] := pIN[0]; Ugly, but does the job...

If I do online monitoring of code in f.i. a function block, I cannot see if the function block is called or not. In software from other vendors you normally have an indication if the online code you are looking on is scanned at that moment or not. Is there a way in Codesys to determine in the online view if (parts) of the code are scanned or not? Thanks

A bit of work but maybe possible to make your own driver using "CODESYS Control SL Extension Package". Look at the "ExternalIoDrv" example. It is installed in "C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.20.0\CODESYS\CODESYS Control SL Extension Package" when you install the "CODESYS Control for Linux SL".

Um eine C-Library als Codesys Bibliotheksfunktion zu erstellen, bin ich den fünf Videoanleitungen von https://de.codesys.com/news-events/gut-zu-wissen.html gefolgt. Das funktioniert auch am Anfang gut, ich kann unter x86-Linux und RasPi-Linux auch die C-Libraries kompilieren. Wenn ich dann die Library aber wie in Video 4 gezeigt in der Codesys-Bibliothek verknüpfen möchte, (siehe Screenshot) bekomme ich schon bei Auswahl der Datei und auch danach bei Klick auf "Geräte auswählen" den Fehler "Der Dateiname sollte mit dem Bibliotheksnamensraum enden." angezeigt. Meine *.so Datei endet aber meinem Verständnis nach mit dem richtigen Namen analog zum Beispiel und wie es auch in meinem Projekt heißt. Mir ist unklar, was mir diese Fehlermeldung anderes sagen will. Hat jemand eine Erklärung? (Codesys V3.5 SP 20 + (64-bit))
