Hi can you give more details? Are you talking about a danfoss? wich model? Can post the configuration of channel' I used, on the past, serial modbus with danfoss fc280 I remember ((id x 10)-1) I remember that you couldn't use continuous reading/writing of the directors but you had to use them one at a time. it seemed that reading empty registers (caused by x10) was not accepted by danfoss. So I had created a scan that used just one register, then the next etc etc with a timed interval. But this was for the serial, I don't know if it's the same thing with ethernet. I currently use Ethernet TCP/IP interface with FC280.

Hi All, I'm trying to develop a multi-application project that allows me to switch between applications. I currently have a parent application and several child applications, as this is the only way for them to share CAN/Ethernet communication. I've noticed that I am only able to create an Alarm Configuration for the parent application. But the children application do not seem to be displaying alarms on the Alarm Table in the visualisation for when an alarm is raised. Does anyone know of a fix, solution or a way around this? I am utilising Codesys v3.5 SP16 Patch 5 64Bit

would be great to have such fucntionality. Sometimes it is not clear for user which elemetns are blocked and which are not - the greyed out eleemtns are not so different for low resolution / low quality screeens. What I have in my mind as well is to have a possibility to detect the visu Element clicked on and get its Access Rights. If it is blocked/deactivated, the dialog can be rised with INFO 'please login first with proper rights'. It is possible now to have a Mose event Handler ( Examples -> EventHandler) and rise the dialog out of ST (Exapmpals -> ST Dialogs). I am struggling still with getting the separate Visu Element under the mouse and its structure info

I'm using the SMC_GroupJog2 block from the SM3_Robotics library for manual movement of an AxisGroup in WCS coordinates. The observed behavior is: When pressing X+, the X-axis starts moving correctly. If I press Y+ during the movement, the block interrupts the current movement and starts a new movement in X and Y. If I release any button, all axes stop, even if another button is still pressed. Example: Pressing X+ → X moves Pressing X+ and Y+ → X stops momentarily and starts XY movement Releasing X+ while holding Y+ → all axes stop The expected behavior would be: to allow simultaneous continuous movement on multiple axes to not interrupt movement when another axis is added or removed. Is there a correct configuration of SMC_GroupJog2 to achieve this behavior, or is there another block more suitable for continuous manual jog in AxisGroup (WCS)?

Hi, In my CODESYS project (ABC.project), I’m using the MQTT library. I’ve also created a separate library (DEF.library) which itself references the MQTT library. In ABC.project, I’ve customized some MQTT parameters—for example, setting g_udiMaxPublishersAndSubscribers to 100 instead of the default value of 20. However, when I import DEF.library into ABC.project, the MQTT parameters get reset to their default values. I assume this happens because DEF.library still uses the default MQTT configuration, which then overrides my project settings. A straightforward workaround would be to manually align the parameter values in DEF.library, but that doesn’t feel like the right approach. Is there a better or recommended way to handle this situation? I'm using SP18 Patch3. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I made this configuration, I'm moving the encoder value to SM_Driver_PosControl.in.wActPosition. When I make the absolute movement of my PosControl axis, my physical drive axis rotates perfectly, but I noticed that the movement is not followed by the encoder. That is, if I hold the encoder and keep it in position 0, the PosControl axis makes the absolute movement of 314 mm and stops, which is strange because the encoder is at 0. Theoretically, the PosControl axis should accelerate to try to compensate for the movement error. I haven't yet achieved perfect functionality.

My codesys is 3.5.21.30. I am using function ModbusServer from library ModbusTCP_Slave. The reason is that I need share 9000 Holding registers. By standard configuration it is only 4096. fbMbTcpDevice: ModbusTCP_Slave.ModbusServer; fbMbTcpDevice( wPort := 502, pInputData := ADR(awInputReg), pOutputData := ADR(awHoldingReg), uiInputDataSize := 10, uiOutputDataSize := 9000, xEnable := TRUE, tTimeout := 10000, InterfaceName := "eth0", xBusy => xBusy, xError => xError, byClientConnections => byConnections ); Ethernet port is cofigured: Network interface: eth0 IP address: 10.10.22.55 Subnet maskL 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 0.0.0.0 And it only works when I am reading registers with ID 255 by Modbus Poll. Any other IDs don't work. The actual TCP client device try to read registers with ID 1 and I can't change it... Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, I am running a CODESYS Control Runtime on a Raspberry Pi. Two CmSticks are connected to the same system: CmStick A - Runtime license - MultiCore license - KNX license CmStick B - Engineering / Developer licenses My goal is: The runtime on the Raspberry Pi shall use CmStick A locally. Licenses from CmStick A shall NOT be provided by the CodeMeter Network Server. Only licenses from CmStick B shall be available to remote network clients. During troubleshooting I observed that the CodeMeter Network Server collects licenses from both CmSticks. The KNX license appears to be local-only, but the runtime and multicore licenses of the same dongle are still visible through the server. I would like to know if a supported configuration exists for the following scenario: One CmStick remains strictly local to the runtime. A second CmStick on the same machine is exported through the CodeMeter Network Server. Questions: Is it possible to exclude a specific CmStick from being exported by the CodeMeter Network Server? Can this be configured via License Access Permissions (ACL), WebAdmin, or another mechanism? Can export rules be applied per CmStick, per Firm Code, or per Product Code? If supported, could you provide a configuration example or a reference to the relevant documentation? The reason for asking is that after removing a separately installed CodeMeter server component and returning to a local-only setup, the runtime licensing behaviour became stable again. Therefore I am looking for the officially supported way to keep the runtime dongle local while still providing engineering licenses from a second dongle over the network. Thank you.

Hi! Im slowly starting to loose it and i need som help! After a few night of reading up and testing i´m still stuck as a rock and you guys and girls are my last resort for this project. Basic facts; Win 11 Codesys 3.5 SP19 2 + (64-bit) Raspberry pi 4 model b 2 gb Raspian release 11 aarch64 What keeps me up late at night; Username and Password when trying to connect to device and device only beeing connectable for a few seconds. Some of the things I have tried; Username and passord; Credientials from the raspberry Administrator Administrator admin admin Admin Admin administrator administrator Usernames and passwords that I sometimes use (this was a longshot i know, but i was running out of ideas and energy). :) Epand filesystem, activating i2c, spi, 1-wire I can start the gateway and start the runtime. I cant install the edgearm64, arm64 runtime package eventhough I guess i should, i get code [ERROR] Error output: dpkg: error processing archive /tmp/codesysedge_edgearm64_4.8.0.0_arm64.deb (--install): [ERROR] Error output: package architecture (arm64) does not match system (armhf) [ERROR] Error output: Errors were encountered while processing: [ERROR] Error output: /tmp/codesysedge_edgearm64_4.8.0.0_arm64.deb code as a respons. I have tried to Reset Origin Device - no change. I have tried to remove the /etc/CODESYSControl_User.cfg [CmpUserMgr] but i could not find it and i was not sure if i should add it instead but i did not want to mess somthing up. I have tried to create a second gateway with the specific ip if the pi, that did not help. Could it be that i´m currently connected to the pi through WIFI? I can ping the pi and I can connect and control it through VNC. When i scan to select gateway target (scan edge gateway) i find 17-21 devices but can find the pi throug the mac adress. I started of trying to use the "CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi SL" (I have a license sience earlier) as i read somewhere that this could be used on a Pi4 as well but now i´m trying with the MC SL, no changes, same problem. Right now - gateway version 4.8.0.0 (edgearmHF, armhf), Runtime Package 4.5.0.0 (raspberry, armhf). Any sugestions are very welcome! I have made an program what let me read the file. I understand that the Find() function returns the first value the $R$N in the Received_string_without_BOM. I expected that the outcome the following was: 'IP_Adres;192.168.45.12$'. However the outcome is: 'IP_Adres;192.168.45.12$R'. I do not understand where the R after the $ sign comes from, because its place is 24 so it would not be added to the part_of the_string[index]. If I hard coded value 24 for the size it gives me the following return: 'IP_Adres;192.168.45.12$R$N'. I would expect everything till the R but the code adds the $N also to the string. My controller, which is a Linux PC, has got two network cards eth0 and eth1 I whant to use the card with name "eth0" as a server for OPCUA and keep the "eth1" free for other stuffs. Is it possible ? Hello :) We are currently configuring a system with Codesys as SoftPLC on a Linux system and with Beckhoff terminals. I have already gained some experience with Codesys and also with TwinCat incl. TwinCAT Safety. What is new to me now is Codesys in conjunction with Beckhoff safety terminals. We are currently using an EL1918 & EL2904 here. I have been able to integrate both terminals into my project, but I don't know how to interconnect them so that they communicate. That's a bit easier with Twincat ^^ Can any of you help me? I would also prefer a Codesys EtherCAT Safety training or webinar if anyone knows of one. Unfortunately I can't find such an event on the internet.

Hello, Up until yesterday (2023/11/20) I was able to connect to the PLC remotely with no issues through Edge Gateway. However, today I can see the Edge Gateway online but I can find the PLC even if I do a network scan. Following the same path as janber0206 @ https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/automation_server/thread/e78b11d7e9/, I looked into certificates and found that one of the Trusted publisher certificates has expired earlier today (2023/11/21). Please see image. Questions are: Does it affect the connection to the PLC through Edge Gateway? How do I fix it? Thank you very much in advance!

Hi everyone, I use Python Script to generate some POU in Codesys V3.5 SP19 and I would like to limit the "Access Control" to them thanks to the Python command. Is there any commands that allow to edit the "Properties... >> Access Control" of the POU? The other possibility is to set the permissions with "Project >> User Management >> Permissions... >> Project objects >> Modify >> ... >> myPOU", but I did not find the related Python commands. Hello all, I am facing issues with using SysCom library. With SysCom23 library things were simple but since we are migrating to 64bit systems, I am writing a Porting program. With SysCom23, opening the comport was as simple as providing the ComPort no. which returns the Handle as a DWORD. dwHandle:=SysComOpen(Port); But the new library is a bit different. It is asking for 2 input parameters to open the Com Port - Port Number and POINTER to RTS_IEC_RESULT IF hCom = 0 THEN hCom := SysComOpen(ComSettings.sPort, ADR(pResult)); How should I use the RTS_IEC_Result? I can find RTS_IEC-REUSLT under SysType2Interfaces of SysCom library. Also, can someone give me a general understanding of this RTS_IEC_REULT and RTS_IEC_HANDLE, etc.?

The class in the datasheet is 0x80 for the IO-Link Parameter Object, but it’s not present in the CPIClass enum. Is there another function block more suitable for configuring IO-Link devices? (similar to "iol_call" in PROFINET or what’s used in EtherCAT).

I need to know how i can change the directory of my instances 'inst_3' and so on. So they can be under objects directly. I tried to modify the settings, but couldn't find any leads till now. Hello everyone. Raspberry Pi CM4 after some 1 week of work was hard reset mannualy several times and after these hard resets User Management file was missed (when click login button, enter login/password, error: User Management File missed). Also programm can not open file via SysFile library, but this file exists and size of him is 0 bytes, but must be more any way (I keep some kind of archive via this lib). What happens, how files corrupted? Where do I need try to find this error of the codesys or system whole? In the log files of codesys nothing interesting about this happens. Thanks for reading Is this enough hold PlcLogic and SysFileMap.cfg as reserve copy in another place for restoring the programm? And how automate restoring actions if programm files corrupted?

Hi All, I use the analysis page in automation server to capture historical trends from my PLC - i only sample one point per hour but it does the job (for now) One issue I have is I often log on to analysis page to find the system has stopped recording trends from my PLC. To fix this, I need to choose "state information" in the "List view" under PLC and click "Reconnect" When I do this I see my variables listed under "parameters" under "PLC Details" start updating again and the trend in Data analyzer continues to update. My Question, Why do I need to manually reconnect? Is there a way to get automation server to automatically reconnect to the PLC so I continue to capture data from the PLC? Regards, Trent
