Maybe the CODESYS HMI is a good solution. https://store.codesys.com/en/codesys-hmi-sl-bundle.html Run this on the remote main control station. In the HMI application you can add the data source manager and to this manager you can add Data sources. A data source has a reference to the PLC you want to connect to and can get access to the variables of the PLC application. You can then use these variables in the visualization of the HMI application.

Hallo zusammen, ich hoffe ihr könnt mir weiterhelfen. Meine Codesys Version ist die V3.5 SP19 Patch 4 und die Zielsystemversion ist die 4.10.0.0 . Ich verwende Codesys ohne Lizenz. Ich probiere eine Verbindung über Web Sockets zwischen Node-RED und Codesys aufzubauen. Dabei kommt folgende Fehlermeldung und folgender Logeintrag. Ansonsten stehen keine Fehlermeldungen im Log. Ich weiß nicht wieso sich die demo mode Zeit nicht zurücksetzt beim neu starten der RUN-Time. Schöne grüße

Dear reader, I am using the codesys JSON utilities SL, 1.9.0.0 library. And then specifically the FB JSONBuilder. I need to create a main object with at least 2 objects in it. The first object is no problem, but I cannot insert the second object into the main object. See attached my code and the result I get. I am assuming that I am doing something wrong with the parent index but have tried a lot and can't get it done. Kind regards, Rob

Hi, everyone! I'm trying to set up a PLC controller and a connection to an EtherCAT slave device in Codesys. I want to create a flexible program that I can upload to multiple controllers with different remote IO connected (same program). On one plant i may have 5 AI-cards and 3 DO-cards, and on another I may have 4 AI-cards and 2 DO-cards. For not needing to maintain several different programs wih different devices defined in the program (one for each set up) I thought that using a remote IO would make it easier having a single program. That way I could refer to different memory addresses instead of predefined slots/channels and IO's, that would give me errors if there was a different IO on the plant than what the program expected. When I tried setting up the etherCAT master, I saw that I had to define the etherCAT slave devices with the different IO'cards for me to be able to refer to the memory addresses in a PRG. Exactly what I was trying to avoid. My setup is something like a program that can handle 16 separate pump controls. In a year maybe 6 plans get deployed, and depending on how large the project is, the number of pumps can vary between 4 and 16. And the managers dont want to have IO's for all 16 pumps on every cabinet, and I dont want to maintain 16 separate projects files in case of updates etc. I thought the best way to tackle this was having a single project that read/write data to the different pump IO's by remote IO (fieldbus ethercat) addresses. And the number of pump controls are activated by an external GUI. If pump 1-6 is activated by the GUI, then the PLC-program tries to read/write input/outputs from predefined addresses for the expected IO's. My test setup is a PFC200 WAGO controller and a EtherCAT fieldbus coupler (750-354) with some IO. I hope I didn't explain this too horrible, and if there is a more easy and elegant solution for this challenge I appreciate a feedback on this.

I have been trying to set an array value to a JSON structure of this form: {"key": [1,2,3,4]} While I have been able to create the key and set its value to an empty array, I've not had any luck in putting any value in that array. objindex:= fb_JBuilder.SetKeyWithArray("Key6", diParentIndex := diRootIndex); objindex2:= fb_JBuilder.SetValue(value:= iValue2, diParentIndex:= objindex); iValue2: ARRAY[0..3] OF INT:= [1,2,3,4]; The two lines of code above produce {"key6": []} . The second line essentially has no effect.

It turns out that you can build JSON structures without ever calling the JSONBuilder function block directly. Instead, create a pointer to JSON.JSONData and invoke the necessary methods on its dereference. The parent object has a parent index of -1 (and an index of 0). EVERY other item (including keys, values, empty arrays and sub-objects) created by the setX methods needs the index to increase by 1. Then use the JSONByteArrayWriter FB to generate your JSON string

An interesting remark for CODESYS Support. I found this after looking through the Runtime Deploy Tool messages when I connect to an AMD64 architecture Successfully Connected to Target ( {MyIP} - AMD64 ) when I connect to an ARM64 architecture (Raspberry Pi5) Successfully Connected to Target ( {MyIP} - ) As clearly seen in the attached .png, the AMD64 target is detected, while the ARM64 target architecture is not detected (displayed). I assume that this is the reason why the pulldown menu isn't populated correctly.

Hi micik, I am not sure I am using well the code, because I checked the directory and there is no retains.ret file. Now I deleted the code from my project and the values are still works as persistant variables after ssh reboot it seems to me they retain as their previous value. So I am a bit confused, maybe 4.12.0.0 Raspberry Pi SL solved the persitent variable problem...

Hallo, ich hatte heute gestern Probleme mit mit Aktivierung der Lizenz (der Softcontainer auf dem Raspberry hatte sich nicht geöffnet) und dann habe ich hin und her probiert und dann irgendwann ging es, bis ich festgestellt hatte, dass die Lizenz auf der Workstation liegt (es geht um eine IIoT Library SL Lizenz). Ich habe versucht, die Lizenz irgendwie zu verschieben, habe es aber nicht hinbekommen - kann mir da jemand helfen?

I am configuring a Lenovo M900 computer with CODESYS Control RTE SL 3.5.20.30. I use an Aoc E2272pwut LED 21.5 monitor. The touchscreen works perfectly in the Windows 10 PRO environment but does not work in the WebVisualization environment (Window opened at PLC startup). Does anyone know if it is necessary to configure any drivers in Win RTE? I am at your disposal for any questions. Thank you.

Finnaly i get it working. There was a line in the file that set the ADS1015 chip in /boot/firmware/config.txt which i removed and after that the ADS1115 has a green turning circle and i got values. i created a new component so it fits our ADS1015. see screenshot. It works also with Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi 64 SL after adding the ULINT_TO_UDINT conversion in the library. i think the chip was all the time in use by the Raspberry pi itself. IEC 61499 is probably something more complex than what you have correctly said so the prospects are interesting but we cannot ignore that it came out almost 20 years ago and has not won many hearts. I started to explore this world with a PLCnext controller because I love these devices based on RT Linux and Codesys is somehow usable with them but I have made little progress and I feel like inside a nutshell in the middle of the sea ;-) Gary's voluminous and precious book is always on my desk...

Good morning, I am currently working on implementing a display dimmer. I want the display to dim after X minutes. This works so far. The implementation is done via the Linux subsystem, to which a command is sent to dim the display. However, my problem is resetting the timer when input is received. I want the dimming timer to be reset with each click/touch. Unfortunately, I can't find a suitable solution for this. Are there any ways to do this? Codesys v3.5 SP19 Patch 2

hi, anyone else having trouble with opc ua in codesys sp20? i get Error 'BadIdentityTokenInvalid' was returned during ActivateSession i have tried both windows x64 runtime and linux runtime. i have created a completely new codesys project for this. in each of them i have only added the symbol configuration and selected one tag. i have tried several opc ua client, like ua expert, nodejs and python. all return Error 'BadIdentityTokenInvalid' was returned during ActivateSession so the problem must be the opc ua server.

in the codesyscontrol.cfg or codesyscontrol_user.cfg you have to declare whoch comport-ports from runtime are used. please tell us how the comport is called in linux an post the codesyscontrol.cfg files also write down here, which parameters are used in the python-script and what is parameteized in the modbus-master-comport of your codesys-application. mostly the errors occurs in ine of these areas

Hello, I'm trying to run TargetVisu on my Linux IPC, and while it does work, the controls are misaligned compared to my WebVisu. Both visualizations are full-screen on a Debian 12 VM with a resolution of 1280x768. The WebVisu is running in Firefox. Are there any configuration I should adjust to ensure the controls align properly between the two? Any guidance or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

As most of the posts are moved here around 2015, what would be the right version of codesys to run? Would it be better to install a older version of codesys or should i keep on downgrading libraries? Is there any work done to update theses libraries? It´s been a few years since the last update in this post, are there new libraries/devices for raspberry being added/posted somewhere else? Hi, I have Proxmox running on a Rasperry 4 and have debian 12 ARM installed here. I wanted to install Codesys Control for Raspberry on it. According to the messages, the runtime environment and the gateway were installed successfully, but I can't find a device to downplay a program. The sudo service codesys start command fails. Hi there, I am trying to open a codesys project done by someone else and Once I install all the libraries I get this error [ERROR] : Library Manager [PROJECT 01: PLC Logic: Application]: Could not open library 'SysSocket23, * (System)'. (Reason: The library 'SysSocket23, * (System)' has not been installed to the system.) SysSocket23 is a standard library and I also tried using the same OSCAT library which was from the original computer that made this code. Using CODESYS V3.5 SP18 Patch 2 Please help me how to solve this problem.
