Man, this was a long time ago. I think the problem probably stemmed from not loading the certificates from the client and the server on the server and client respectively in the correct manner. I believe I ended up getting around it just by removing all security on the server. In the end we did not move forward with that architecture so I never had to actually fix it.

If you use 3.5 SP10, then Git is not supported. SVN will work fine, but with this version you do need a USB key, because software licenses are not supported with this version. Off course you can work without SVN (or Git), but especially if you work with multiple developers on one project, it will save you a lot of time and you can keep track of all changes and improvements much easier. So how much is this worth to you?

Using Wireshark, I can see that the broker sends the QoS 1 or 2 messages when Codesys MQTT client reconnects but they are just discarded and not acknowledged by Codesys MQTT Client. So the broker holds on to them and tries to send them back to Codesys every time the client reconnects but they are always discarded by Codesys. There really seems to be an issue with QoS 1 & 2 in Codesys. It really does not behaves like it should.

Finnaly i get it working. There was a line in the file that set the ADS1015 chip in /boot/firmware/config.txt which i removed and after that the ADS1115 has a green turning circle and i got values. i created a new component so it fits our ADS1015. see screenshot. It works also with Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi 64 SL after adding the ULINT_TO_UDINT conversion in the library. i think the chip was all the time in use by the Raspberry pi itself. Thanks for your help!

I'm trying to determine which Codesys Control license I need, the Control Standard S has all the features I think I'll need, but the code size is limited to 3mb, I created a simple program with only 1 line of ladder logic and a simple visualization with a button and an indicator. When I generate code I get some messages, one indicates that the total allocated memory size for code and data is 2.1mb. Is this metric the correct size of the code? I question the size because it exceeds the allowable code size for the Basic S and Basic M licenses and consumes 2/3 of the available memory for the Basic L or Standard S license. What tool can I use to estimate the size of code as it relates to the runtime license limit?

I have a Raspberry Pi 4 we have been using for years to run CODESYS for development purposes. I recently have had to re-install the OS (Raspberry OS lite). The only change to the default configuration is not creating the "pi" user during install. I (apparently successfully) installed the 4.10.0.0 control on the Raspberry Pi. We have licences on a dongle. I am able to start the control. systemctl status shows it as running for a little while (exactly, precisely 30 seconds as per my tests, every time), then it becomes exited. I can restart the control, and the same thing happens again. Every time. In the brief moments it is running, I can log in to the PLC. Working fast and restarting the control many times, I have been able to configure users. I have been able to download my application. I have been able to run the application, and stop on a breakpoint. I have been able to connect with the licence manager and confirm the dongle is detected and licences are listed as OK. I see nothing wrong until the service just exits. I have found nothing in the logs. It is like the runtime just terminates with no error code or message after exactly 30 seconds. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello everyone, I'm currently trying to set up a FileTransfer function from a Webvisu to my Raspberry Pi 5 on Codesys 3.5 SP 19 Patch 6. I went in the files CODESYSControl.cfg and CODESYSControl_User.cfg and added : [CmpWebServerHandlerV3] AllowFileTransferServices=1 And it seems to be working. However, I cannot access my several Webvisu without putting my login. That's a problem because one of my webvisu is in kiosk mode on the raspberry itself and there is nokeyboard attached, it's just an information screen, but I can't view it. Is there a wey to enable the File Transfer without requiring to login ? Thank you for your time

I have read through the forums here and I am unable to find how to get the barcode data to populate in a text field without having to first click into the text field to activate it. Is there a library that allows you to access the barcode data? I am really new to this in general any help is greatly appreciated, hopefully you have a pretty clear example

Hello everyone, I'm using the IoT Library to implement the MQTT communication with my local broker server in order to publish and subscribe at specifics topics to share and consume information about my application. But, it seems that are occurring some memory leak problem in a "high" frequency (more than 10 Hz) subscribe process. I follow the same method as in IoT Lib exemples, and at first looks perfect but my PLC was rebooting frequently and when I check its memory usage that was increasing as fast as the subscribe massage was sent. I'm using a WEG PLC410 and a WEG PLC500, and this error occurred in both of them (including in CODESYS Control Win x64). The application sends to the system a message JSON with the float payload Ex. {"data" : 0.8500}, but this happens with a INT, or BOL as well. hello kevinrn, I've been looking for a solution to the CI/CD issue for a long time. Briefly about me... I am 32 and software architect for Codesys V3 and fullstack dev for web (VueJS, NestJS) in a small company in Erfurt (Germany). https://www.rex-at.de/. Through my web part, we already have CI/CD running well via GitLab (YAML-based configuration file (.gitlab-ci.yml), which defines which pipelines and jobs are executed when certain events occur) with everything you know. Stages for npm packages - prepare (GitVersion, npm install or whatever) - build (vite, tsc or whatever) - testing (vitest, jest or whatever) - deploy (npm packages) And similar for monorepo's or backend services (in NestJS) as DockerImages. For Codesys we have been building an OOP framework for years (~50 libraries now), which is currently managed via SVN and a specially written Svn-Watcher (in Python) gets commits and runs and builds everything together and deploys it to an FTP server and network drive. Why do we still have SVN? Because we are unfortunately still tied to the safety integration of Codesys and can therefore only go to SP15 at most with our controller/Eckelmann. But soon there will be an update and there will be no more obstacles to using Git. Hence my questions: 1. the basic idea is to run a local Windows Runner on some machine? 2. install Codesys on the machine where the runner is running? 3. powershell & python scripts are then used to execute builds (compile, build, sign libraries) & deploys? 4. can the Github action also be used in GitLab? ChatGPT has already told me that it's not the same, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Do you have any ideas on this? Greetings :D

I have a Python program that will handle things in my application such as VISA over IP and Telnet control of instruments. I want the main control and HMI in Codesys. My problem is communication between the two. I have looked at several ways to accomplish this, and settled on having the Python program create two named pipes, one to send information to Codesys, and one for Codesys to send information to Python. The information would be packetized with \n for end of packet.. Seems simple. I think the named pipes method should work, but file reading in Codesys using the CAA file library starts to get difficult when the file is never ending, as in this case. Before I spend too much time making something that may be fundamentally flawed I want to ask. Is there a better way? Is there a way to read the file 'one line at a time' which might solve my never ending file problem? Thanks!
