I have several libraries which contain values that should be saved on a PLC. As apparently no Persistent Variable List is available within Libraries, I use the Persistence Manager to create a Persistence Channel in the Project which imports the library. I then specify the persistence channel in the library using the {attribute 'ac_persist':='PersistenceChannel_CT'} specifier. This generally works very well and gives me exactly the properties I require. However, it came to my attention that the (alphabetially) first value from the library is not saved in the created ASCII file. When checking the content of the Persistence Channel, it shows all the variables as defined in the library. But the created file does not contain the first value and it is not restored after restart or reset. (see attached picture) I disabled Periodic Saving and set xSaveOnChange to TRUE and so the file usually updates immediately after changing one of the values. When changing the first value, it does not update which is consistent with this value not being saved. I also created a sample project and library from scratch which shows the same issue both using a Raspberry Pi and using a Linux machine. Does someone know what the reason for this could be or did someone make similar experiences? Looking forward to hearing your suggestions. Thanks in advance and best wishes Manuel

I have been trying out Unconnected_Send Explicit Message with route path.(The Unconnected_Send service shall use the Connection Manager object in each router to forward the message and to remember the return path. Vol 1.3 / 3-5.6.7) However, I could not see the correct path on Wireshark. I want to see the Unconnected_Send Message Service Code as 0x52 and also the last of the message should have the route path. I want to ask some questions about this topic. The IIoDrvEIPAcylicServices Interface has the IoDrvSendUnconnectedMessage Method. And there is a struct (EIP_SendUnconnectedMessage) for this service. But there is no information about how to implement to project, and if it is successful, does it send a message with 0x52 Unconnected_Send Service Code or not? If that is not a solution, how can I set the Unconnected_Send Explicit Message struct on Codesys? Also how can I send explicit message with route path?

Hello everyone, I am using SP19 patch 2 on a Kunbus device with runtime package 4.9.0.0. I am having the same problem as mentioned above. With the FB File.open I get the FILE_OPERATION_DENIED error. I have also tried the path /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic. Any advice? Chris

in your project, to access /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic/my.file, use the string 'my.file' or '$$PlcLogic$$/my.file'

After some more digging I realized that I get an error on the PLC Logger saying PersistenceChannel: 150 (invalid type in data: SimpleLibrary). I suppose the issue could be found in the ConfigData, which is automatically generated and which looks like this: 1 9##83 SimpleLibrary#GVL.aMoreZeros.[1]#0#64512#15#0 <[2]#0#64520#15#0 <[3]#0#64528#15#0 <[4]#0#64536#15#0 <#0#64544#15#0 <[6]#0#64552#15#0 <<lrVar#0#64560#15#0 <strVar#0#64428#16#80 <uiDummy#0#64370#11#0 Perhaps the fact that the variable is stored within a library confused the compiler? I tried changing the PersistenceChannel parameters to xCompressTags := FALSE which changed the entry in the data file from _xCompressTags BOOL:TRUE _xCompressTags BOOL:FALSE but the actual content of the data file and also the config data did not change.

Hello Is it possible to view a camera RTSP feed in a visualization? It seems as though the browser element doesn't support this and we are trying to replicate an example using the ActivX element with no luck. We are using the Windows Control Win x64 device with a camera connected via LAN. If it is possible, can you provide some instructions please. Thank you

We have developed a project for 2 servo motors using raspberry pi computemodule 4 on ethercat master. we are using web visualization for display different screens. project is running well in demo. we want to implement it in production envoirment. being new still wondering which licences i need. Can We get this information in codesys devlopment software. code size is approx 5 mb, 1 instance of etharcat master and aproox 100 variables in visaualization.

As most of the posts are moved here around 2015, what would be the right version of codesys to run? Would it be better to install a older version of codesys or should i keep on downgrading libraries? Is there any work done to update theses libraries? It´s been a few years since the last update in this post, are there new libraries/devices for raspberry being added/posted somewhere else? Hello All! Having a strange issue. When adding a library, I'm unable to search. Each time a window pops up 'creating the search index' and then has 0 results. I have the same behavior when using the library repository and pressing the 'Find' button. I wonder if there is a way to reset or fix this issue? It is making it very difficult to search and find proper libraries to add to my project. Much appreciated.

We are experiencing serious jitter issues on an ARM64 imx8. Until now, on rpi and beaglebone derivatives, and on Intel, we never encountered jitter issues unless they were already present on the device. In this case, as can be seen from the attached graph, we have excellent maximum latency. The cyclictest on the isolated core dedicated to IEC CODESYS tasks shows a latency of 37µs, with an average of 14µs. Usually, on all other devices, with an RT kernel, with the appropriate parameters to avoid frequency throttling, with properly managed IRQs, and with the disabling of large page sizes, the jitter measured by CODESYS is very close to the cyclictest latency. However, on this imx8, we are noticing a fluctuating value of +/- 300µs that seems to be added to this latency, as if something occasionally miscalculates the sleep times by exactly +/- 300µs. Two screenshoot attached. - Result of cyclictest - Jitter on CODESYS Tasks are assigned to isolated core!

I had one RPI device where I could login. I copied the SD-flash over to another SC-flash. This new SD-flash was inserted in the new device. I can boot the new device but I cannot login why? How can I install an application on this new device? Hi, Is there a process to restore Persistence Manager files? I have backups of persistence variables used in a machine that is currently operating and tuned and all set points adjusted. There are about 500 persistence variables, they are building another identical machine. I would like to use Persistence Manager files from the first machine in the second also. I have tried copying the files and replacing them on the new RPI but then the Persistence Manager gets errors and then they are all reset to 0 etc I have tried adjusting the times to match. Instead of replacing whole file, I tried just changing the contents inside the file, but still does not work. I may be missing something here, but surely there must be a way to load a backup. Thanks!
