I have exactly the same problem and tried entering “ForceIecFilePath=0” in the file “CODESYSControl.cfg” ([SysFile]). Unfortunately, this was unsuccessful. Hi, I’m currently testing the Codesys Redundancy application with 2 Raspberry Pi, with the idea is of using in my project 2 Wago PFC200 and 1 Ethercat Master with 2 Remote IO. After I configure the redundancy, and one Pi is Active and the other is Passive, if I disconnect the Ethernet cable of the Active, the Passive become Standalone, which is good, but the problem is the following: -When I recover the Ethernet connection, both stay Standalone. They will NOT Sync until I do it manually in the Codesys environment. How to make the synchronization automatically? -If both Pi/PLC stays Standalone, who is managing the IO? (Ethercat and Serial) I have done a test with an Modbus Slave, where I am sending a counter that increase every second. And I see that when both PLC are standalone, they both keep an active connection with the Slave, and both write values. This does not seem good, since according to this in my project both PLC would try to control the IO at the same time. Note: The Codesys have an option (greyed out, not possible to select) which says “Auto Sync”. What is the purpose, and why I’m not able to select it? I'm using Codesys Control for Rapsberry Pi 64SL Runtime in my test environment (2xRaspberry Pi 4), with the idea of using Codesys Control PFC 200 Runtime in my project (2xWago PFC200 and 1 Ethercat Master with 2x Wago 750-354 Ethercat Fieldbus Coupler). Using the last Codesys 3.5 version (SP19 PAtch 5). I'd appreciate a lot any help on this questions!

Is there a way to links these X and Y values from the properties to an integer defined in the main program? Note that I just want to use them and not change any of these coordinates in the program.

Hi, we did install the real-time kernel patch on the RPI and also performed the additional optimizations including isolating the cores. Changing the configuration of the planning task e.g. running it on a separate core, changing the cycle times and mode from cyclic to freewheeling did not show any improvements.

However when I go to run WinCoDeSysOPC.exe I get an error message that I don't have the code meter licenses installed. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this issue?

I added a main action to an SFC step, and then tried to delete it. There is no delete option in the SFC menu nor in the right click menu of the step. I deleted the action from the device tree, but building results in and error saying the action is not defined. Is there a way to delete a main action?

It is a known issue. It only happens with CODESYS and Wago controllers and the Persistent Variables. It seems related to using 64 bit variables in the PV list (e.g. LREAL). Internally in the PLC everything works okay. It is just a monitoring issue.

Why does CODESYS 3.5 show the message “Source code changes since last download” even though I did not create or modify any new variables? When I go online with the PLC, it detects changes and suggests synchronizing, but nothing was actually changed in the project. What could cause this and how can I fix it?

I am using both functions for: I override SMC_LimitDynamics o calculate the individual axis jerk on polynomial movements. LimitDynamics only controls acceleration and velocity, it's not enought to create smooth movements. To solve the problem when smothing path create loops. It seems that polynomial passes two times by the same point and smc_smooth path chooses incorrect one.

Hello, I am new here and need some help. I have added the Date Picker to a visualization page. The date selection works, but the current day is not highlighted. The date and time are displayed correctly by the system, which is set by default to “VisuElems.Visu_DateTime.DisplayUTC:= FALSE;”. Is there some project setting or Visualization Manager setting that I am missing? Thank you. Ilario.

Many issues with the alarmmanager and alarmstorage can be solved by deleting the configuration, rebooting, and redownloading. I've found that the configurator doesn't always update when you make chanegs. For linux installations it is typically located in /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic/alarms/ look for file Application.AlarmConfiguration.xml cd /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic sudo rm -r alarms sudo reboot

I just tried with version 3.5.22.1 and librarys updates often aren't recognized, usually not. Same behavior like 3.5.21. To describe my workflow: one IDE is used to test librarys as project and two or more IDEs to edit librarys. With only two open IDEs there is no problem, the problem began with more than two open IDEs.

I'm programming an HMI for a machine. I want to log all the parameter's changes (used text field for displaying and changing) for particular User levels. Created a Numpad and want to log oldvalue and Newvalue on 'ok' Button press. To retrieve the oldvalue, i check if the dialogue opened is my Numpad, Then I retrieve the dialogue interface via GetDialogInterface(ADR(myNumpad)) --> numpadData.stVariableValue which contain my oldvalue and save it locally. Problem is sometimes i retrieve the data and sometimes not. Also observed when Numpad Dialogue is Opened, VisuDlgUtil_IsDialogOpen returns False in some cycles.Attached you will find my Project. please let me know what went wrong or if there is a better approach to collect old and New Value of a textfield. I have a test application and use Codesys Control for Rasp Pi SL. I made a mistake and updated device from MSL to MC SL, and now if I try to go online with archived version of the project I gett error message that IDs are different between project device and target device. Of course, I can go online if I changed device in the project from SL to MC SL, but I'm not sure that is correct. So I have two questions: 1. What is the actual difference between MC SL device and standard SL device when it comes to raspberry pi 4? 2. What change I need to do on raspberry pi4 side to change device back from MC SL to SL? I run CODESYS runtime as a service and use CmpLog (the LogAdd2 function) to log different events to a file. I have done this many times before on various projects and hardware, and it works fine. On this particular system, I have CODESYS 3.5.20.40 running on a Windows 11 PC. The CODESYSControlService autostarts (with Local System credentials, the default), and the application runs fine. However, the configuration file is not read (or at least not the one that should be, or not the CmpLog section), and log files are not written to the disk. I would be thankful if anyone knew why this is happening and how to fix it. A note to CODESYS people: you must provide more information on the codesys configuration file, CODESYSControlService.exe and other major components and system behaviour. You created the service and various features (i.e. logging), but haven't explained how they work, which, in my opinion, is below standard for industrial automation software. These are my observations: - When running as a service, the config file is not read (none of them), or at least the CmpLog section is not read. I checked the log using Codesys IDE, and the CmpLog parameters are not the ones I have set in any of the config files. Which CmpLog config values does the service use, and where does it read them from? I have no idea, but it's not the config files. Here are the codesys config files I located on the PC's disk: o C:\Program Files (x86)\CODESYS 3.5.20.40\GatewayPLC\CODESYSControl.cfg (only 2 lines in this config) o C:\Program Files (x86)\CODESYS 3.5.20.40\GatewayPLC\AppDataFiles\CODESYSControlWinV3\CODESYSControl.cfg o C:\Users\SRV\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3\C4DBB537\CODESYSControl.cfg o C:\Program Files (x86)\CODESYS 3.5.20.40\GatewayPLC\tempCFG\CODESYSControl.cfg - When I run codesys as an app (e.g. by clicking the icon), this config file is read C:\Users\SRV\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3\C4DBB537\CODESYSControl.cfg and log files are written ok. The icon target is "C:\Program Files (x86)\CODESYS 3.5.20.40\GatewayPLC\CODESYSControlService.exe" -d o the -d option, I think, starts a cmd-like window showing service debug output (the output shown in log in the IDE) o the -i option, again I think, means install the service - I tried adding -d to service start parameters in the registry, but it started only once and after that it refused to start. I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but getting the CurrentUserGroupID like this will not work, because there could be multiple Visualization Clients and each can have a different user that is logged in. Also when you go online with CODESYS and open an Visualization, this is counted as a client. Probably this is the reason you see it changing. What you can to is "iterate" over all clients and then see which user is logged in on which visualization Client. For this you need to add the Visu Utils library to the project and call the FbIterateClients. Its important that you know the difference between the two. Example 1: Coils[0] := Coils[0] OR (Buttons[0] AND Sensors[0] > 6); In this case the statements will be evaluated every scan and result in either true or false for Coils[0]. Example 2: IF NOT Coils[0] AND Buttons[0] AND (Sensors[0] > 6) THEN Coils[0] := TRUE; END_IF In this example Coils[0] will latch the result in a true evaluation, if you want it to behave the same way as example 1 then you need to do it like example 3 below: IF NOT Coils[0] AND Buttons[0] AND (Sensors[0] > 6) THEN Coils[0] := TRUE; ELSE Coils[0] := FALSE; END_IF However back to the real question. There is no problem using either example 1 or example 3, if im not requiring a latch i usually go with example 1 as it is more compact.
