I am exploring the possibility of measuring test coverage using the Test Manager and Profiler tools. It appears there are some significant limitations. Has anyone been successful trying to use these tools? Here are my observed limitations. Am I misunderstanding anything? * Profiler only works for one "run cycle". Even warm resets will clear the coverage calculations. Thus, all tests would have to manually reset values when complete to prevent contamination to other tests. * It is not possible to see which statements were/weren't executed. One would have to use the flow control tool which cannot be used in conjunction with the Profiler, and must be viewed in realtime. * The profiler control cannot be automated and therefore must be executed through a manual procedure. Hello, I would like to know if there is a PROFIdrive layer in CODESYS. I am already familliar with Codesys's SoftMotion on CANOpen/EtherCAT (to control PLC Open FBs), and I need the same kind of stuff for PROFINET-IO devices; In my configuration, I have a CIFX board from Hischer to enable IRT, the SoftPLC "Codesys Control RTE V3 x64", and a servo-drive from INFRANOR that implements PROFINET / PROFIdrive (with IRT) protocol. This drive works well with the Object Technology of Tia Portal, but some customers use Codesys. Do you have an idea how to do that? Thanks in advance. Regards, William ROMIGUIERES INFRANOR France

CODESYS introduced many cyber security related changes over the last few years, one of them is to restrict file access. By default, file access is restricted to the PlcLogic folder and subfolders of the CODESYS control runtime of version 3.5.19.0 and newer. For Control Win this would be the folder C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\xxxxxxxx\PlcLogic\ To enable access to other folders, you can configure additional paths by adding them to the file CODESYSControl.cfg. For example: [SysFile] FilePath=C:/temp/test FilePath.1=C:/Users/Public You should now be able to access your file in C:\temp\test\ or in C:\Users\Public

Hello Is it possible to view a camera RTSP feed in a visualization? It seems as though the browser element doesn't support this and we are trying to replicate an example using the ActivX element with no luck. We are using the Windows Control Win x64 device with a camera connected via LAN. If it is possible, can you provide some instructions please. Thank you

This feature worked before. I did not do any changes to Codesys installation. Codesys version is SP19.1, and CODESYS Control For Raspberry Pi 4.8.0.0

I tried both 3B en 4. But every time with a lite version. I didn't try the full version of raspberry pi os. Nice to hear you are aware of the problem and trying to fix it. I'll hold on to the image from 2023-10-10 for now.

Hi, Mine is the same, both using v3.5 SP17 patch 6, and v3.5 SP19 patch 5 when using anything newer than v4.8.0 the same issue as above occurs. Checked the 'Customize' window in case it was hidden/disabled in there but couldn't find it. Thanks for the help on this. Toby

Have you found a solution for this? Id be thankful for every hint. I have a controller with the same events in log and sometimes it crashes. Memory of the codesys3 task rises until the linux system kills the task because the controller runs out of memory.

Hello dear colleagues. I have an ESTUN PRONET servo. I'm trying to control via softmotion over the CANopen bus. There is no Ethercat bus in this servo model. In another project,using Ethercat , I controlled four axes. I have problems with ESTUN PRONET servos. A DSP-402 driver mismatch is likely. I would be very grateful for your help in solving this problem.

Hi These issues occured using a Raspberry Pi 4. I also repeated the experiment with codesys control for Windows, which results in much lower cycle times. With up to 3 ms, I still think they are fairly high given they should run at 2 ms and don't require complicated kinematics. The effect of higher cycle times for slower movements also prevails.

Hi, I'm experiencing this problem as well. Did the suggested combination resolve your issues in the end? If not, I can stop my efforts rolling back to these versions. I'm trying to get CC for RPi 4.8.0.0 installed on the device, but I can't find it after installing it through the packet manager.

Hi, I just tried the example project with control WIN x64 and for me this is working correct. The only difference is that it is showing 'TabletPortrait' when i hold my smartphone in portrait mode and 'Monitor' when i hold my smartphone in landscape mode. This is because smartphone resolutions have increased i guess... You could check what resoution is detected and change accordingly in IsSmartphone method.

We are having issues right now, and I just stumbled on that post. It seems to me you are saying your Linux ARM control is RPi 5-compatible, but the one you sell specifically for RPi is not. The fix you are proposing requires customers to re-purchase a CODESYS licence. Is there a time frame for that to be fixed?

I have a serial Modbus RTU communicating to the Slave device. But when the control system is not in Run there is no power applied to one of the Modbus Devices. Can I enable / disable the communications to that Modbus Slave in the code based on my running mode, so I don't get all the errors?

Solved! Go to Control Panel -> Windows Defender Firewall -> Allow an app or feature Enable the options to change settings. Scroll down the list of applications to CODESYS and CODESYS ControlService. If you do not see this application, add it to the list. Make sure all checkboxes are checked (Domain, Private, and Public).

I believe it should be available. It may be the case, that your device does not support the alarm configuration. Some smaller PLCs sometimes do not support it. You can try changing to a different device, like a Codesys Control Win, in your project, and see if then allows you to add the alarm configuration.

Hello, I have the same problem now with 3.5.20 Patch 3. Normally it works if I ad in CODESYSControl.cfg: [SysFile] ForceIecFilePath=0 (This told me codesys last time) I try to use the placeholders but without success. Something special is that the Files are not in C:. The Plc Configuration Path is not as usual C:\ProgrammData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlRTEV3\, it's E:\Control.
