I'm trying to open the VisuDialogs.Numpad dialog to enter a new temperature setpoint on one of my VISU screens. For some reason, the numpad dialog does not appear as an option in the Open Dialog dropdown in my input configuration. I'm very new to CODESYS, so sorry if this is a simple fix/known item XD.

Hi all, i am encounter a mystery problem with a build with rexroth drives at my work. At my company we are make a machine with two Rexroth Indradrives . The two drives are goes by ethercat protocol . To be more specific i am going from my plc to the Beckoff El1100 coupler and after to the first drive and from the first drive to the second. The second drive works with no problem but the first(motor) sometimes without any pattern start to make a mysterious noise like stop and suddenly goes on again. If i couldn't hear the noise from the motor i couldn't Imagine that this happen. After a lot of research i see that sometime i have some strange zeros from the drive to the plc? Really i am in a deadlock and I don't know how to continue. From the other side the values on the other drive(second)are stable . I have a project with several buttons and dialogs. Most of the dialogs are opened using the Open Dialog action of the Input configuration of the buttons. Some dialogs are openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB of the Visu Utils library and the FbOpenDialogExtended FB is called in the Execute ST-Code action. I am also using the FileOpenSave dialog from Visu Dialogs which requires an OnDialogClosed action to read out. I realized that the OnDialogClosed action which is meant for the FileOpenSave dialog also triggers if a dialog is closed, which was previously openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB. Is there a way to detect which dialog was closed last and specify to which dialogs the OnDialogClosed action reacts?

Hello All, Hopefully I can get some help configuring an OPC UA subscriber in a CODESYS runtime in a Raspberry Pi 5 that tries to retrieve data from an OPC UA publisher (in this case running in a TwinCAT system). I tried to follow the steps described in the page to implement the OPC UA subscriber: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Examples/_ex_opcua_pubsub.html Seems that the example provided was created with version 3.5.16.0. Now with version 3.5.20.20 is not possible to open the complete project neither convert it. Anyway, after configuring all IPs and ports used in the OPC UA connection function block but the connection state always shows DISABLED. Can someone help me to do the proper configuration of the OPC UA subscriber? Many thanks in advance.

Hello, I have an EtherNet IP adapter (GoPxL) running with a virtual PLC. I have successfully connected the adapter with green icons next to it. On WireShark I can see the data coming from GoPxL but on CODESYS it shows up as all 0. My firewall is turned off and I have enabled the device to always update variables. I tested my set up with Profinet and I can receive the data. Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

Just to clarify. Output for lamp will have two inputs: from plc IN (wall switch) and from visu button. Until now I had separate object for visu button and separate for visu lamp. Now I want it to be one object, bulb icone which will change color on lamp status and yet by touching it will change visu button state. Tried "Switch Image" object but there is no way to assign switch var.

I have a Control Win V3.5 SP20 (64-bit) application, and until now, I open the program (with a password) and download it. However, I need to give the client the option to install the program on the Controller, without them having to open it and access the code. So, I followed these steps: 1 – In the Online => Create Boot Application menu, I saved the generated files in a directory: Application.app Application.crc PlcLogic\visu\ directory with several files 2 – In the SysTray, I ran the PLC, and it created a directory. In the root of this directory (C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\E84889DB), I pasted Application.app and Application.crc. Since it created a \visu directory, I pasted the PlcLogic\visu\ files generated in Create Boot Application into it. 3 - In the general Codesys directory (C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64), I edited CodesysControl.cfg, adding: [CmpLog] Application.1=Application 4 - When running the PLC, nothing happens and the TargetVisu screen does not open. What I'm doing wrong?

Hello, I use the Library NBS from "caa net base services". After opening the Project i get 19 errors from the message window "Precompilation", most of them because it doesn't recognise a component of the FB "NBS.UD_Peer". (see photo) After compiling the Project at least 2 times, there are no errors. Is there a reason and solution for this behavior? Is there a problem with resolving the library? Thanks for any clue

Hello, I'm encountering an issue with the Sysprocess library while attempting to execute commands to transfer a file from a NAS to my PLC. Currently, I'm trying to test a simple "reboot" command, but it doesn't work as demonstrated in this video: https://youtu.be/77c7Af5xRhE?si=uFZdB6fTNQitzWMQ. I'm using CODESYS V3.5 SP18 Patch 4 (3.5.18.40). From other sources, I've learned that to enable the PLC to execute commands, I need to add the following line to the file CODESYSControl_User.txt: [SysProcess] Command=AllowAll However, the issue I'm facing is that this file doesn't exist on my CPU. I have full SSH access and can see all files, but only CODESYSControl.txt is present. Adding the command to CODESYSControl.txt hasn't resolved the problem.

Hi, It's my first time operating in Codesys 2.3, but I have done a good amount of Codesys programming, so I'm a little familiar. I haven't done a lot of RTU, but a lot of Modbus TCP. I don't have the PLC in my reach at the moment, but I'm trying to be a little ahead. We're adding the 750-652 module to read energy from a flowmeter over RTU. There will only be 1 slave. I attached pictures of my current hardware, PLC code, the register datasheet from the slave and the only modbus serial library I seem to have available. I'm uncertain if this will work. Any help or clarification on how things work will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello! I am trying to compare 2 projects via the --compare CLI option. In the docs for the --compare option, it describes the usage as .\CODESYS.exe --compare "project path 1" "project path 2". I store my projects in WSL2 on my windows machine. Since CODESYS is happy to open those projects via a path like \\wsl.localhost\home\project.project. So, to compare, I use the command .\CODESYS.exe --compare "\\wsl.localhost\home\prog1.project" "\\wsl.localhost\home\prog2.project". This results in CODESYS just opening the project and starting, not comparing the two projects. No errors are thrown, and I know the paths are correct since I can open both independently in CODESYS, and I can compare them manually through the CODESYS UI. I have also tried moving my projects to the Windows 11 OS and still have the same issue. CODESYS opens the project and does not actually compare them. I am using CODESYS profile v3.5 sp20 patch 1. What is the correct way to compare 2 projects using the --compare CLI option?

Hi, On CODESYS V3.5.19.50 I am using the latest 3S File Access library (CAA File & CAA Types) to save and retrieve configuration data from the User Data section of an SD card, via file called config.txt. The application reads the file to memory once upon initialisation, and then the only other operation is overwriting the file with the updated configuration whenever the user changes the settings. An issue is ocurring, seemingly randomly, where the config.txt file, and all surrounding directories, cannot be written to by the unit, returning a READ_ONLY_CAA error upon file open. This sometimes does not clear even after power-cycling the PLC several times, yet checking the file permissions with ls -l shows normal read, write, and execute access. I am wondering if this is caused by the PLC itself or by an issue in my application. Something like a DCS / SCADA depending on where you see the functionality. We plan to use more or less vanilla codesys. The tool should support the following: - Connect to multiple PLC's in a project to see its variables and debug it. - Central Engineering capabilities (for example shared libraries in a project). - Download the new code / binaries to the plc. - Maybe have functionality to combine visualization elements and logic together. - See the live status variables on all the systems (crosscommunication). I see that codesys theoretically supports engineering of multiple PLC's, but I couldnt find to much functionality for a DCS type of operation, but that could be lack of knowledge. Any tips from you? Is Codesys good enough for this and maybe there are some manufacturers which build around it? Or are there good tools on the market with Codesys support (and the engineering is separate, but download to codesys possible). The use case is distributed energy installations like Heating pumps, Photovoltaics, etc. All these installations should have a PLC with codesys installed and run in one larger network, the PLC's are connected via VPN. Good morning, I'm using a raspberry pi3 as plc with the runtime 4.9.0.0. My program has many of retrain variables but when an update is performed the retrain variables comes back to default values. Is the a way to backups the retrain variables n a csv file? Is still the way to restore them from the csv? Thank you for helping Luca
