So there is no function to activate the user management via code? Do you have an idea how to get back the users when somebody replaced the PLC. Hi geoweil, have you tried to save changed values to remanent area or using a VAR RETAIN? After restart you have to initialize Counter with last remanent value. Depending on changes per cycle and the possibilitiy of your control unit to write remanent storage. Otherwise you need a buffering system to ensure save backup of last PI_Counter value. It's probably because you have an INT in the input to the MUL function, which will then try to output an INT as well. INT variables can only handle values of -32768 to 32767. Your value of 523000 won't fit in an INT, so it turns into an invalid number. Use a DINT. This is usually better for working with time values anyway, because time values are all 32 bit. Or if you can't, use INT_TO_DINT(gvlp.detectie_nalooptijd_s) in the input to the MUL function.

Vijeo doesn't support TIME variables, so the easiest thing to do is convert to a STRING in your program, and use that variable. You could use TimeAsString:= TIME_TO_STRING(TimeVar) to get a string that looks like this: T#5h10m45s200ms

The way I usally tackle this is by syncing only words (then you are able to use the FB above). If you then want to write a Boolean simply type it like this. Value[1].0 := Bool1; Value[1].1 := Bool2; Value[1].2 := Bool3; Uints have the same number of bits than a INT/WORD so these ones will work as well (they are only represented diffrently). A Real will work but you will loose some infomration in the conversion. If you want to keep the information you can convert 2 words to a float with a function (for example with the IEEE-754 standard) . In this way the syncing to the server is very simple and in the Codesys Program you decide what part of the word you want to use.

Hello good morning everyone I would like to ask a question, is it possible to directly connect a device that only contains modbus RTU communication through an R-45 connector, directly to the PC? Or would you need an intermediate device to achieve communication? It would be of great help to me because I cannot achieve communication between the Codesys simulator plc and a Fuji Frenic mini VFD, please help me if anyone has had the same experience. If you use 3.5 SP10, then Git is not supported. SVN will work fine, but with this version you do need a USB key, because software licenses are not supported with this version. Off course you can work without SVN (or Git), but especially if you work with multiple developers on one project, it will save you a lot of time and you can keep track of all changes and improvements much easier. So how much is this worth to you?

I have added a models in SiOME which a software to design nodes and add instances. and created a resultant xml file. I tried to import the xml file to Codesys through OPC UA information model Repository the problem i don't know how to view my objects which i have designed. and map it to my PLC to make viewable on my server UaExpert. I watched the tutorial video https://youtu.be/aJhzN3Uk-Do?feature=shared. But it only give you how to add the Information model, and my resultant model doesn't have information type. So how in Codesys i can view a model which i have designed in SiOME and mapped my instances (Objects, Variable or methods) with my Variables in PLC I saw people do it in Tia Portal or other Software, but i have no clue how to do it on CODESYS

Are you using the Control Win SL (installed together with the development environment of CODESYS)? If yes, you might want to consider using the CODESYS RTE instead. This has real-time capabilities (running on separate core(s)). But to be able to use this, you have to install the CODESYS Ethernet driver for your network interface to be able to let the RTE access the network port also in realtime. Hi, I tried some different libraries (CmpApp etc.) to find some global variables that I could read out as a variable in the codesys environment. Do any one of you know which libraries are best suited for this, and how I can read it out? My goal is to send messages, warnings etc. to the system that communicates to the PLC. Currently if something goes wrong I need to see the logfiles, or go online with the controller. I think I could save a lot of time if I could read the errors from our user interface that is connected to the PLC by TCP/IP.
