Hi, I have successfully deployed "Virtual Control SL" on a few x86/64 machines now. However, I'd now like to deploy this to a Raspberry Pi (ARM64). To do this I prepared the Raspberry Pi5 with the following prereq's; * Minimal PREEMPT Debian * Latest Bootfirmware * full SSH access via non-root account * Podman * RedHat Cockpit with CODESYS LicensServer plugin up and running However, I can't seem to resolve copying the correct (deploy) Images as they wont show up in the CODESYS IDE I have added CODESYS Virtual Control for Linux SL and the CODESYS LicenseServer for Linux SL via the CODESYS installer on my DevBox. I open CODESYS > Tools > Deploy Control SL Next I enter the SSH targets IP and Credentials and for my RPi5 and it shows "Connected". In the next tab, Deployment, the dropdown box only shows one (1) image, which also is the incorrect CPU architecture. Only Virtual Control AMDx64 shows up (!?) while I expect to see the ARM64 based images for both Edge and Control. Has someone encountered this too? I'm having trouble finding clear answers on this. I'm looking for a way to make a Codesys project password protected so that if the project is distributed it can be used to log into a controller to view and debug logic. At this same time I want to prevent the project from being saved as well as edits being downloaded to the controller. Basically I want to make a whole project view-only. What is the beat way to achieve this? I have had minor success with access rights, which solves the problem with trying to login if the project doesn't match what is in the controller. However with this solution, edits can still be made and saved, possibly corrupting the core project, preventing future logins. Any suggestions?

Hello, I have been using CODESYS for a while and after updating to version 3.5.18.50 the code randomly stops with this fault. Why is that ? I have tried to locate the fault in the Call Stack but I dont know what to do now... I have updated the projects properly for the version I am using. This fault started happening after like 14 days of using the new version of CODESYS.

Thank you very much for your time and replay! Sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately, I have no other option to run the code from the running plc. So, I can’t stop any services. If anyone has the same problem, I've gotten a little closer to understanding it: Sometimes the copied files are empty after the restart. The update code checks if there are any empty files. Before I turn off the device, everything is okay. But after starting, some files are suddenly empty and that cause the problems. I don't know why this happens.

Now i am running to problem, when i create instances and i want them to appear directly under the object directory, However, it always appear with me under Objects >> Device set >> Device Name in CODESYS. I need to know how i can change the directory of my instances 'inst_3' and so on. So they can be under objects directly. I tried to modify the settings, but couldn't find any leads till now. But now, the expression Add_EVT_OUT := 0; gives an error: [ERROR] DB_WTP_370: Add_EVT_ACK MSG_TRIGGER_EXT: C0032: Cannot convert type 'BIT' to type 'REFERENCE TO FB_MSG' Naturally... I can write: Add_EVT_OUT := DWORD#0; But is this the correct way? Is there any constant I could use instead, like "NULL"? Or this is totally wrong and to be avoided?

Hello @rmaas I assume, you've already verified and tuned everything regarding the EtherCAT network. In my case the problem was due to a wrong core assignement. I suggest to not use the core #0 for your EtherCAT task. The OS realtime patch, which is present on RevPi OS, uses the core #0 for its porpouses and it mustn't be used by any other task which requires realtime and deterministic features. regards Rossano

Hi! Do anybody know how I can add and enable the parameter 'Default Modbus TCP slave' on a device? I am currently writing a program where the PLC shall be set up as a Modbus TCP client, but I dont know how to add parameters to devices in codesys. I'm pretty new to the codesys environment. The picture in the attachment is on a similar PLC project where I have not written the code. my goal is to add this parameter in another project.

I am attempting to place a block and make it an Analog sensor. When I go to change the name like in the instructional video on youtube it does not give me an option to autofill the block with a known configuration. This is a problem I have in Codesys 2.5 and 3.5. Did I mess up the install of the program or need to install a library? Hello, I was trying to create a redundancy POC for our application where we read data from few modbus tcp devices. As there is a limitaion that modbus tcp device support only for single master device, we wanted to test how the variable sync happens in redundancy mode. For that i have used the redundancy sample code added a variable "b" under a condition. What i observed was while active controller is running, if passive controller is powerup, passive controller is able to sync all the data configured for redundacny. But after that the variable data which resided under a condition is not synching from active to passive controller. I have attached the image where i have highlighter the variable. Can some help me to understand how redundacny work in codesys soft plc and if there is a solution to sync variable which are under condition, please explain the same or suggestion to achieve the same. Hardware - Raspberry Pi (2 qty) Redundancy licence used - yes in both controllers. Codesys runtime - 4.9.0.0 Codesys software version - V3.5 SP19 if i have posted this question in wrong section, please do let me know in whcih section i have to post this question.
