I’m operating with CODESYS in a 64-bit configuration and the Test Manager at version 5.1.0.0, where I’m attempting to use project scripts from an earlier version. These scripts call for certain test drivers that are not present in my installation. It’s unclear whether the absence is due to the 64-bit system, an update in the test drivers, or if I need to enable or install additional elements. For instance, the loadproject(Codesys.Base) command is missing, but loadproject(testmanager.project) is available. The FileIO command for CODESYS isn’t accessible, yet the testmanager’s driver for it exists, as does the execuptscript command.

Hi, I have been working on Codesys V3.5 with PFC200 controller and Can Gateway 750-658. I want to convert the incoming CAN data from bytes into UINT and for outgoing data bytes to UINT. Does anyone has experience with this kind of data? I tried few different ways but it doesn't seem to be working.

Get a different sensor that is 0-10V and 0-350 Bar. There is nothing you can reasonably do to boost the range of the sensor, and the PLC will only ever be 0-10V. Take away is to always be careful to match the sensor and PLC input ranges in the future.

I installed patch 3 now and i get a new message, although i located and modified the files in system32 and sysWOW64 still doesn't work. One thing i noticed is thta in system32 folder CODESYSGatewayV3 now i have two different XXXXXXXX files with the latest being created today at the time of installation

to modify and change the color of this icons from symbols lib I placed it in a visu. After download to the device, I uploaded the SVG files and saved it local. Now I was able to modify them with inkscape and import it to my own imagepool in the project :-)

You get fewer tools when you create a new POU and choose ladder diagram instead of ladder logic diagram. Create a new POU and select ladder logic diagram and you should find the additional tools you are looking for in the toolbox.

We used this with shared memory codesys. and work. OpENer is an EtherNet/IP™ stack for I/O adapter devices; supports multiple I/O and explicit connections. And we adapt this also for Implicit message. But for arrive to the end we spend a lot of time. :-(((

Hi all, I've played a bit with the VisuUserManagement library, and some other security option in my project, and I started getting this error when logging in - see attached pic. something to do with a specific screen in the library - VUM_Login. Also, Codesys started to ask me to log in to the library when logging in, asking to log in as user of the groups Maintainer or Owner, which I dont know either users (attached pic). when I close the login screen and try to log in to the PLC again, everything works again until I close and open Codesys. I do use user and password to login to the PLC, and this login screen is fine I know the user and pass I setup. anyone know what did I do wrong here and how to fix it?

Hello everyone, I created a visualization with a lot of REAL, with one or two digits after the decimal point. This causes me problems in terms of rounding and memory... is it possible to display an integer with a comma, like with PROFACE or SIEMENS? It's just an "abuse" of display, the comma is just on the visualization. This limits the memory (16 versus 64 bytes) and rounding is easier to manage... See print screen on proface software THANKS

Maybe the CODESYS HMI is a good solution. https://store.codesys.com/en/codesys-hmi-sl-bundle.html Run this on the remote main control station. In the HMI application you can add the data source manager and to this manager you can add Data sources. A data source has a reference to the PLC you want to connect to and can get access to the variables of the PLC application. You can then use these variables in the visualization of the HMI application.

The origianl version with create of project was 3.5.13.10 I can change version to Master Ethercat 3.5.13.10 to 3.5.16.70 but i can´t update the last version 4.4.0.0 (I attached the screen "Version Master OK-NO OK"). In the moment update to the last version appear a lot of error("Version Master NO OK") Can anyone help me please?

Hi, Is it possible to display the units along the X,Y axis of the Path3D element? It correctly shows the CNC path to be followed, but there's no indication of scale or size of what's being displayed. I looked at the documentation and my first inclination is that this is not possible, and the option option would be to somehow recreate the Path3D functionality into the XY Chart visu element - which is not ideal. Any suggestions or pointers would be appreciated!

When creating a new Codesys library, I am getting 2 errors for missing libraries. I can see that I am using newer versions of these in the library manager (3.5.17.0 and 3.5.19.0 opposed to 3.5.8.0 and 3.5.7.0 stated in the errors). IDE Version is V3.5 SP19 Patch 6. The "Download missing libraries..." button in Messages list is not doing anything. Why is it looking for older versions of these libraries? Can this be fixed by using the newer versions? How can I download & install the older version of these libraries?

When I select only runtime and communication it is go next step, but then I no have license on in Visualistion section, all of rest of software metric licese is ok(IO, Istances of com et, code size etc.). Hello, same issue after a fresh install with CODESYS 64 3.5.21.30, on two different PCs Win10 and Win11. But with different Plug-In errors. CODESYS 64 3.5.19.70 runs after a lot of Package deinstallation/installation handling. But every think looks not really stable. Deinstallation of MS C++ and MS Runtime stuff -> CS installation. Than deinstallation of CodemMaster for anti freezing CS.

Hey all CODESYS-experts. I'm at a customer site, and we hade a power-failure and one of the devices apparently runs codesys and has crashed. It's an old device (out of warranty) that is bought many years ago. Now this device doesn't seem to boot. Any idea what to do in this case? We have access to the drive so we have access to the files. It turns out that you can build JSON structures without ever calling the JSONBuilder function block directly. Instead, create a pointer to JSON.JSONData and invoke the necessary methods on its dereference. The parent object has a parent index of -1 (and an index of 0). EVERY other item (including keys, values, empty arrays and sub-objects) created by the setX methods needs the index to increase by 1. Then use the JSONByteArrayWriter FB to generate your JSON string

What we are trying to explain is that, yes CODESYS creates the software, but Epis decides how they implement it on their hardware, which runtime version they use and they decide which functionality they support. So it is always a combination of the two. What CODESYS provides is a runtime with options for e.g. visualization or softmotion. Epis could add this softmotion license as default to their controller, but if they don't then CODESYS provides another option with a single license in a "Wibu CodeMeter" container. Eventhough the feature exists, Epis has to add this "CodeMeter" software on their controller to be able to access the licenses in the container. We don't know if they did this. Then finally it depends on what type of runtime is on this controller and which license Epis is using. So if they have an OEM license (not an application based license), then most likely you will need the Softmotion license (not a number of axis). See https://store.codesys.com/en/codesys-softmotion-sl-bundle.html. But to be sure if this is supported by the Epis controller, you must ask Epis.

You are right, that you can use the GetState method, but it is not that simple. You first have to get a list of (filtered) alarms from the AlarmManager. You can find an example in Forge how to do this. Hi all! I'm working on an home project using a Raspberry Pi 3 device with Codesys for Raspberry Pi 64 SL runtime. I would like to create the HMI interface with Siemens WinCC Unified (or Advanced) configuring the Raspberry as OPC UA server. I tryed everything, but I didn't find the way to let the OPC UA connection works using UaExpert. I tryed to use anonymous connection, authenticated connection and the ip address instead of the server name in the path connection. There is no way to connect to the OPC UA server and I was asking myself if this feature is really supported for the runtime version used. Another strange thing I noted, is that is not possible to quickly create an OPC UA certificate in the Security Screen, as show in any tutorials. I have correctly created the Symbol Configuration enabling the OPC UA feature. I attach to this topic some printscreen of the actual configuration (sorry for the italian language interface, but I didn't find the way to switch to english).
