Hallo, seit der Umstellung meines Projektes auf die aktuelle Codesys Version mit aktuellen Bibliotheken und Aktualisierung der Runtimer Version bekomme ich im Zeitraum 15min bis 1h nach Neustart des Target Systems folgende Fehlermeldung: runtime received SIGABRT - system may be in an inconsistent state Der Fehler kommt auch nach dem Start des Systems ohne eine Benutzeraktion zuverlässig, aber in unterschiedlichen Zeiträumern. Hello, We are facing a critical issue with CODESYS SoftRedundancy that we have been unable to resolve despite extensive troubleshooting. HARDWARE: 2× HP EliteDesk 800 G9 SFF Intel Core i7-14700 (20 cores) 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 NIC1: Built-in Intel GbE NIC2: Intel I210-T1 PCIe (NIC team) SOFTWARE: CODESYS Control Win V3 - x64 Version 3.5.22.10 CODESYS SoftRedundancy SL Server 1 IP: 172.10.10.101 (PLC1 — Active) Server 2 IP: 172.10.10.102 (PLC2 — Standby) CURRENT CODESYSControl.cfg: [CmpRedundancy] BootupWaitTime=120000 StandbyWaitTime=12100 SynchronousTimeout=12100 [CmpSchedule] ProcessorLoad.Maximum=80 WatchdogTime=12000 WatchdogTimeoutAction=0 CONFIRMED WORKING: PLC1/PLC2 identification configured via IDE Connection IP configured via IDE AutoSync enabled and written via IDE Normal Active/Standby operation working Server 2 auto-promotes when Server 1 completely fails PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When NIC1 cable is removed from Server 1 — both servers go to standalone mode. I used the PLCnext Engineer IDE from Phoenix and all Communications where up and running and my PLC program executed successfully. THEN I tried the same PLC Layout with Codesys and Codesys Control for PLCnext. It was not successful and gave me the "Error: Local Bus not Running". I searched the web for answers but was unsuccessful in finding a solution. So I tried to change my configuration and found that the following Modules COULD NOT be recognized by Codesys Control. hello kevinrn, I've been looking for a solution to the CI/CD issue for a long time. Briefly about me... I am 32 and software architect for Codesys V3 and fullstack dev for web (VueJS, NestJS) in a small company in Erfurt (Germany). https://www.rex-at.de/. Through my web part, we already have CI/CD running well via GitLab (YAML-based configuration file (.gitlab-ci.yml), which defines which pipelines and jobs are executed when certain events occur) with everything you know. Stages for npm packages - prepare (GitVersion, npm install or whatever) - build (vite, tsc or whatever) - testing (vitest, jest or whatever) - deploy (npm packages) And similar for monorepo's or backend services (in NestJS) as DockerImages. For Codesys we have been building an OOP framework for years (~50 libraries now), which is currently managed via SVN and a specially written Svn-Watcher (in Python) gets commits and runs and builds everything together and deploys it to an FTP server and network drive. Why do we still have SVN? Because we are unfortunately still tied to the safety integration of Codesys and can therefore only go to SP15 at most with our controller/Eckelmann. But soon there will be an update and there will be no more obstacles to using Git. Hence my questions: 1. the basic idea is to run a local Windows Runner on some machine? 2. install Codesys on the machine where the runner is running? 3. powershell & python scripts are then used to execute builds (compile, build, sign libraries) & deploys? 4. can the Github action also be used in GitLab? ChatGPT has already told me that it's not the same, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Do you have any ideas on this? Greetings :D

Actually in my project I used two packages: - CODESYS Contro for Raspberry PI 3.5.15.10 - PiXtend for CODESYS 1.3.8.0 Now I would like to extend my project about the IIot Libraries SL package, I installed them. Next I added SMS_Service_SL 1.0.0.8 version library and I have problem with compile my project because I get error: [ERROR] PiXtend_DemoProject_q: Library Manager [Device: PLC Logic: Application]: Could not open library '#CAADTUtil'. (Reason: The placeholder library 'CAADTUtil' could not be resolved.) Any have idea what can I do to properly add SMS library to my project?

Build: CODESYS 3.5 SP19 Patch 1 (64-bit) Host OS: Windows 10 Target: Linux SL I have a project with programs in Structured Text and Ladder Diagram. When I try to use the Find function, it works for the Active Editor; however, when I try to use Find for the Entire Project, I get the error "Object reference not set to the instance of an object." I know what this error means in the context of the program, but I have no idea why the find function is returning this error. The variable I am searching does not matter: it happens with all variables. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. I generally use the Find function quite often as I am developing and not having it is really slowing me down.

Hi everyone. I use Raspberry Pi 4, one core codesys SL. I have a question about global variable access via programm when I glued the same variable to MODBUS SERIAL/TCP DEVICE holding register. So, the question: what behavior of this modifying? When I set "Always update variables (in bus cycle)" and set some task as bus for the Device, then in another task I cant change this varible (can, but immediatly the old value setted again). But the same things works with MODBUS SLAVE: again "Always update..." and master attached to some task, then I change variable in another task and all works. I cant set up my variables from retains file at PrepareStart event because of this behavior with MODBUS SERIAL/TCP DEVICE. Thanks, wbj0t.

I want to extract each element of an Array. Can someone help me with this. When I use JSONElementToString (part of JSON Utilities SL), I am seeing output as "ARRAY" instead of actual data. After my tests, I noticed two issues. 1- WinCC disconnects the connection after receiving the GetEndPointResponse message from CoDeSys. (I found it with UAExpert and Wireshark.) 2- It establishes a connection despite waiting for a while on the network with DNS. As a result of this information: I solved the problem by adding the line "193.193.193.150 t9pac" to the C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts file and making Windows accept messages coming from the IP number 193.193.193.150 as coming from t9pac. (t9pac is the name of my PLC running CoDeSys.) If there is a setting that will allow CoDeSys OPC UA to respond to GetEndPointRequest with its IP address, this problem will not occur.

Moin, ich grab mal den alten Thread hier aus, habe das gleiche Vorhaben, Sounds auf dem Raspberry abzuspielen. Habe einen Pi5 mit Codesys Pi 64 SL und benutze auch die SysProcessExecuteCommand sowie die SysProcessExecuteCommand2. Habe das auch schon erfolgreich umgesetzt um Kamerabilder aufzunehmen und Bilder zu kopieren, aber die Sounds funktionieren leider nicht. Wenn ich direkt in der Konsole die Befehle eingebe, werden die Sounds abgespielt, werden diese aber durch Codesys getriggert, wird kein Sound abgespielt. Ich habe bis jetzt - espeak - espeak-vg - aplay - omxplayer versucht. Alle in die CodesysControl_User.cfg eingetragen etc und keine Fehlermeldung beim ausführen. Habe BT Headset und USB Headset getestet, wie gesagt, direkt in der Konsole gehts, durch Codesys nicht. Hat irgend jemand eine Idee woran es liegen könnte?

Hi, How can i display targetvisualization in full screen on the target device? I installed Targetvisu For Linux SL 4.16.0.0 on target device which contains Raspberry PI 64bit PIXEL desktop. When i connect my PLC program to the remote targetvisu, the targetvisu displays for 60% horizontally. We contacted CODESYS and they said it is a bug. they had a workaround, and with the settings below added to the file /etc/codesysvisualization/CODESYSVisualizationTV.cfg, the targetvisualization display for 100%, but with the taskbar at the top. VisuClient.BestFit=1 ;VisuClient.ScaleTypeIsotropic=0 VisuClient.FillWholeBackground=1 [CmpTargetVisu] WindowPositionX=0 WindowPositionY=0 WindowSizeWidth=1280 WindowSizeHeight=800 WindowType=2 How can we let it display fullscreen without taskbar?

From your examples I was able to manage the different factories, even for custom elements. Now I need a hashtable, but with this object I’m running into a lot of random access violations. If I append something inside FB_Init after constructing the hashtable, it crashes, even though the list was already created. If I only create the hashtable in FB_Init and append afterwards, it usually works. Good afternoon, After changing the security settings to: CommunicationPolicy: POLICY_BASICSHA256SHA256 CommunicationMode: ALL Activation: Activated UserAuthentication: ENABLED Then generate a new certificate on the device for the OPC-UA server from Security Agent->Device->OPC UA Server. Restart the runtime using tools->Update Raspberry Pi->Stop->Start for the changes to take effect. It may take a minute for the runtime to start. Initiate the connection from the UA server side. You should see a pop-up asking you to trust the certificate. Click on the button 'Trust Server Certificate'. Next, you should see a certificate in the quarantined folder of the security agent in CODESYS. Click and drag this from quarantined to trusted and then try connecting from UA expert to the device. These steps worked for me and my setup and I hope they can help you!

Hello, I am using the CODESYS IIoT Libraries SL MQTT Publish. Does this publish block only support publishing STRINGS as a readable format? I can publish ENUM, STRUCT, BOOL; however, MQTT Explorer will only display strings. When I use Wireshark, I can see that it is publishing something, but it looks to be publishing a serialized version which is a bunch of 0s or random text. If so, is there any way to deserialize this information back into a readable format? See pictures, where I have a BOOL TRUE that gets published as 001. Then see where I publish a STRUCT and it's an incomprehensible combination of 0s - only the string variable is displayed. Or, is it expected that you convert everything to a string before publishing? Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

Hello everyone, I'm encountering an issue in CODESYS regarding writing files to external paths. Despite correctly configuring the placeholder in the CODESYSControl_User.cfg file to allow access to an external folder, CODESYS doesn't seem to write any files, and no errors are reported. The issue on the older versions was absent with no placeholders. I've checked the operating system permissions, and they seem to be in order, but the issue remains. I solved this problem by creating a .pfx file and importing it into the security store under 'Own Certificates'(must have SP18 or newer to import .pfx). I used a gitbash shell to enter the openssl command that created the .pfx file. Once you import the file, in your TLS context, set your 'sUseCaseName' to be the same as the name listed in the 'Information' column of your imported certificate. This did it for me

My CODESYS OPC UA server provides endpoints using both the hostname and the IP address. Connecting via the IP address works fine, but connecting via the hostname does not. The endpoint list shows both opc.tcp://<hostname>:4840 and opc.tcp://<ip>:4840. When using the hostname, the OPC UA client (UA Expert) fails to connect. Using the IP address connects without issues. Main goal is to conect via Python but opcua-asyncio seems to prefer the hostname. How can I configure CODESYS or my system so that the OPC UA connection via hostname also works properly or disable it completly? Running Codesys for PFC200 sl 4.18.0.0

Such bash script detect the presence of new .deb files and install them on system. My automation solution don't allow to be maintained by dedicated personal, thus even the CODESYS runtime SW must be installed using an "automatic" procedure instead of using the CODESYS tool. remark I've been using the following procedure since the runtime v4.5 without any issue. Before installing the new runtime packages, I need to copy the file CODESYSControl_User.cfg (here attached) because of new section which is necessary to add in order to allow some folders to be written by CODESYS runtime v4.9 Up to now, this has been unnecessary, this is the main difference between my previos bash file and the new one. remark If I skip this action, everythings goes fine, but my CODESYS application can't work as it needs to access some folders on controller's file system. Hello, we have the same problem here. Our configuration in the following: Codesys V3.5 SP19 running on Exor Exware700Q Profinet network connected on Eth1 IOLink Master Turck TBEN-S2-4IOL version 3.5.9.0 IOLink sensors E+H & Sick (Pressure, T°) We installed the codesys IO link package and have the codesys IO Link SL licence activated (on a dongle) Our problem is the following: we got the IODD files from E+H & Sick we add the devices in the codesys device repository with success They appear in the devices tree under IODD branch We added the TBEN IOLink master under the Profinet IO . The IO link master are ok and display online. The IO-Link SL package datasheet indicate that there would be a way to scan the IOLink device from the network but we did not find any way to trigger this scan. (we expect to get this from a right click on each IO-Link Master module but the only possibility there is "Plug device") When clicking on Plug Device, we get a browse window with profinet IO modules. The IODD devices are not there so we cannot select them. But other devices for other brands are available and can be plugged. Our question are : 1) how do we update the Profinet IO Module catalogue in order to be able to plug the E+H & Sick Sensors that we have to work with? 2) how do we activate the Scan IOLlink device that is supposed to be included in the Codesys IO-link package? 3) where can we find the manual explaining how to use this package?

Since parameterized (indexed) properties are not possible, I decided to use architectural approach "Indexing Property Adapter" to achieve the intended goal — avoiding code duplication for validated access to array elements. Essence: Create a Function Block Adapter (FB_PropertyAdapter) that encapsulates the logic for working with a single element of the target array (e.g., with one settings structure). Declare Properties inside the adapter block for accessing each individual field of the data structure. All validation logic is implemented within the Set accessors of these properties. Data Binding via VAR_IN_OUT: The adapter block receives a reference to a specific data element from the global array through its VAR_IN_OUT section, which ensures direct work with the original data without copying. Create an Array of Adapters: In the parent POU (e.g., FB_SettingsManager), an array of these adapter blocks is created — one for each element of the global array that needs to be managed. Initialize Bindings: In a FOR loop, each adapter instance from the array is given a reference to the corresponding data element. Result: This approach allows accessing the data via the index of the adapter array, and then through the property name, which simulates the behavior of an indexed property: MyAdapterArray[Index].MyProperty Thus, the validation and data access logic is written only once inside the adapter block and is then reused multiple times by creating instances of it in an array. This completely solves the problem of code duplication while providing a clean, scalable, and object-oriented architecture compatible with standard CODESYS features. Question closed.

Hi, I’m currently testing the Codesys Redundancy application with 2 Raspberry Pi, with the idea is of using in my project 2 Wago PFC200 and 1 Ethercat Master with 2 Remote IO. After I configure the redundancy, and one Pi is Active and the other is Passive, if I disconnect the Ethernet cable of the Active, the Passive become Standalone, which is good, but the problem is the following: -When I recover the Ethernet connection, both stay Standalone. They will NOT Sync until I do it manually in the Codesys environment. How to make the synchronization automatically? -If both Pi/PLC stays Standalone, who is managing the IO? (Ethercat and Serial) I have done a test with an Modbus Slave, where I am sending a counter that increase every second. And I see that when both PLC are standalone, they both keep an active connection with the Slave, and both write values. This does not seem good, since according to this in my project both PLC would try to control the IO at the same time. Note: The Codesys have an option (greyed out, not possible to select) which says “Auto Sync”. What is the purpose, and why I’m not able to select it? I'm using Codesys Control for Rapsberry Pi 64SL Runtime in my test environment (2xRaspberry Pi 4), with the idea of using Codesys Control PFC 200 Runtime in my project (2xWago PFC200 and 1 Ethercat Master with 2x Wago 750-354 Ethercat Fieldbus Coupler). Using the last Codesys 3.5 version (SP19 PAtch 5). I'd appreciate a lot any help on this questions!

You will need a USB to RS485 converter to connect the PC to the Modbus RTU Slave Device. In Windows this converter will be recognized as Serial COM poort (e.g. COM2, or COM3, see the windows device manager to find this out). Select this port in your CODESYS application. On the PC you need to use the CODESYS Control Win (SoftPLC) to run your application. It will not work in simulation mode, because then the Modbus Communication will not be activated.

I had one RPI device where I could login. I copied the SD-flash over to another SC-flash. This new SD-flash was inserted in the new device. I can boot the new device but I cannot login why? How can I install an application on this new device? Hi all, Is it possible to hide or show tabs from the PLC code? I have created a few tabs in my visualizations to configure the program behavior, I'd like to be able to hide some of them if the related option in the main tab has been disabled.
