Yep sure, though now that i think of it, its a pi 4. My bad. The whole ordeal was necessary to use the VGA666 adapter. That needs the old graphical system and GPIO directly on the CPU. Edit: Putty on the virtual development machine connects fine. But i did change the login/pw. The account is still a sudo'er so that should be all right. Edit2: Sorry i get a "Comment rate limit exceeded" from the forum. Then i'll add it as edit here. So i have tried the stock raspberry pi image on a different pi5 (truly 5 this time). Packages updated. Standard password. Same symptoms, no runtime deployed and long hang time. I have now a raspberry pi 4 and raspberry pi 5 with version 4.16.0.0 of the control application. Windows 10 native: build 19045 (same as virtualised Win 10), same .NET version, same CODESYS version. It seems that running CODESYS virtualized somehow messes with the deployment?

The customer requested that we store the database through codesys without the need for intermediary software such as MySQL, MSSQL,... and be able to export reports at selected times, reports exported to csv files. , xslm,... Can anyone help me?

Hi, I have project that worked during months. This one have targetvisu where I move between screens with a frame using the function flick/slide. The last weeks when i move sliding the screen freeze but the comutation tag of the frame continue registration the movements. The program continue working at the background but the screen freeze. Has anyone encountered something similar? Thanks!

At the top of the Visualisation Properties View, you can enable the "Advanced" options. This will give you access to more properties than what you currently see. There might be a variable linked to the "advanced" colour property where the fill colour is determined by the value of this variable (dword).

OK, I figured out that I can simply define all the sensors as 16 bytes IN/OUT, even if they are not all used. EDIT: The negative effect is that each bit is taken into account as an I/O for the license, even if not used.

For reference, it was just me being unfamiliar with EtherCAT in CoDeSys. Anyone with knowledge who would have opened the ScanResult screenshot would have identified that the preceding EK1100 was the device missing in the library. Bottom line - Do something else for a while and then get back at it with fresh eyes!

Thank you for the response! It's a path I had already considered, however, while it has always worked for me on inputs, it doesn't on outputs, because if I enable the option to update all IOs at every scan, the IO tasks overwrite each other. However, I have found something very interesting which I am posting below.

Hello, I don't really know what my problem was, but it's working for me at the moment. All i did was to change my code because of some REAL_TO_INT conversions, like i wrote above. And later a complete new Pi setup (because of 64x support with 4.10.0.0 now).

Hi These issues occured using a Raspberry Pi 4. I also repeated the experiment with codesys control for Windows, which results in much lower cycle times. With up to 3 ms, I still think they are fairly high given they should run at 2 ms and don't require complicated kinematics. The effect of higher cycle times for slower movements also prevails.

I also thought that if I had logic writing a value to this variable, then it would override the force anyway, since I thought that the force request was only applied at the beginning and end of the PLC scan. But this doesn't seem to be the case, the force persists throughout the logic regardless of what I write to the variable with logic

A bit of work but maybe possible to make your own driver using "CODESYS Control SL Extension Package". Look at the "ExternalIoDrv" example. It is installed in "C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.20.0\CODESYS\CODESYS Control SL Extension Package" when you install the "CODESYS Control for Linux SL".

Hi manuknecht, the axis group currently always writes the axis set torque values. If no dynamic model has been configured for the axis group, then the set torques are written to 0. The solution for your use case is to call SMC_GroupUpdate [0] before you call SMC_SetTorque on the axes. This way, the axis group will write 0 to the set torques in the call to SMC_GroupUpdate(), and SMC_SetTorque then will write the desired set torque. if you're here because you are making the same mistake as me, I just resolved it. I mistakenly thought I didn't need to write the word attribute in the column labeled attribute. changed this 'symbol' := 'read' to this attribute 'symbol' := 'read' The last two in this clip are still wrong: I recongize this is probably a big "duh". That's ok. I like to fail out loud in hopes it helps someone else from looking silly.
