Good morning @eschwellinger, After some research I found out that the problem is the preinstalled CodeMeter on Raspberry Pi. As I mentioned the CodeMeter was installed on the Raspberry because I use a license from other vendor that needs the CodeMeter to be installed. The problem is that when I uninstall the CodeMeter from Raspberry I am able to detect the dongle from CODESYS and everything works as it should be but now the other product can not detect its own license. When I reinstall the CodeMeter I am back to the initial problem. Is there a way to overcome this conflict through CODESYS?

Hello everybody I want to controll a stepper driver from Leadshine (EM3E-556E). The EtherCat slave is CiA 402 compatible. Because of this I bought the Softmotion Light Package from Codesys and implemented it in my project. I rightclicked the EtherCat slave and added the Softmotion Light axis. But now the error message shows: "The license is missing or invalid. The PLC runs in demo mode." What have i done wrong? I use Codesys 3.5.17. Is it possible that the stepper driver is not compatible with the Softmotion license? Thanks for all your help

Is it possible like G-Code streaming processing (like FANUC or SIEMENS DNC Function )? Or Does anyone know the tips for CODESYS Motion to start moving long Long G-Code File quickly? I have to wait long time after "Start" button to start moving, I have to wait finishing interpreting whole G-Code file, ( and I have to prepare huge buffer to store. ) Now, I'm working on my CNC Project using SMC_ReadNCFile2, and SMC_NcInterpreter to preprocess G-Code. I tried to set SMC_Interpolator.xExecute to true to Start while after SMC_NcInterpreter processed more 50-line of G-Code, but that not worked, I had to wait SMC_NcInterpreter processed all lines to start SMC_Interpolator. G-Code have about 2000 lines of XY of G01 (or more over.. ) of short segment that a CAM software has exploded from NURBS Curve.

I had an issue aswell, I was trying to use docker and got stuck on the specific line ' Downloading https://download.microsoft.com/download/9/5/A/95A9616B-7A37-4AF6-BC36-D6EA96C8DAAE/dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe' within install2.sh - which is actually from the https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Winetricks/winetricks/master/src/winetricks, winetricks_selfupdate(). Would love to know if anyone has a known solution. Only other thing I can think is to download winetricks +.net, update the winetricks to point to the downloaded .net? Granted Im not too savy with Docker so I have been struggling on figuring that part out- would love any suggestions!

Hi All. Is it possible to use CODESYS KNX SL on stock Wago firmware (Codesys version, not e!Cockpit). I have Wago 750-8212 with firmware 0.4.04.03(26). When I tried to run 'KNX SL' or even 'Device Reader', I have got [FATAL ERROR] Unresolved reference: 'CODEMGETCONTENTBYFIRMCODE3' [FATAL ERROR] Unresolved reference: 'CODEMGETCONTENTBYFIRMCODE2' [FATAL ERROR] Unresolved reference: 'CODEMGETCONTENTBYFIRMCODE2' What probbalby means that there is no running CodeMeter component on PLC. Hey there, I am pretty new to the codesys space, but I got a codesys control basic M license for my raspberry pi that isntalled with no problem yesterday. Today, I went to install the visualization M locense as well because I went over the variable limit and am getting a "servernotfound" error in codesys when attempting to activate. I also tried to follow the advice in some other threads and install using a license request file on the web interface but am getting a message saying "An internal error occured" when attempting to install the license. Can anyone help me get this up and running? Thanks for your time.

I have a problem with a project that uses EtherCAT Safety. The project is developed with CODESYS version 3.5.19.20, runtime 3.5.18.30, safety CPU EL6900 4.3.1.0, TCEL6900FBS 3.5.1.10, IODrvEL6900 4.3.1.0, IODrvEtherCAT 4.1.0.0. The safety project works correctly, but when I download the PLC project for modifications, the ESM objects are no longer aligned with the states inside the safety program. Specifically, inside the safety program, they are seen as true, while outside the safety program, the state is reported as false, but not for all ESMs, only some. I have already tried to completely redo the safety from scratch, but nothing has changed. Any solutions? Thanks

Hello, I got a bit of a weird issue going on which is kind of annoying. So recently we switched a lot of Modbus IO to EtherCAT, as we were having issues with stability. All works fine, which is great. But sometimes when I change the program I get errors claiming that identifiers are not defined. Meaning I can't go online. See the picture below. I believe this is because some of these identifiers were used with Modbus, and they weren't properly removed/deleted? A clean all temporary fixes the issue, but it comes back again after a while of changing the code, and building. Any way to fix these non-existing required identifiers, or even find out where they are required? Thanks for the help in advance. Jasper.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to install the CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi SL package. The computer with CODESYS software is offline for security reasons. So, I downloaded the package on another computer and installed it manually. But this package has dependencies packages: CODESYS.Control SL Extension Package, V4.0.0.0 CODESYS.Control SL Deploy Tool, V4.10.0.0 As I said, the computer with CODESYS is offline. I cannot use the package installer to search for these packages. I did not find them in Codesys Store with another computer. Do you know where to find and download them? I'm currently reworking the controls on a cnc press brake and wanted to load various recipes as programs to run. I'm using a 2d array of REALs to store the X and Y coordinates as well as some other program parameters in a recipe. I'd like to store all of the recipes on a computer used as the HMI that way the text files can be edited and uploaded offline. I'm using Automation Directs P2CDS-622 Can this be done through webvisu? If not would a license for Codesys HMI SL on the computer allow me to accomplish this? I've attached the Project File Thanks, Spice

Hello everyone, I have a web visualization on Codesys and to be able to use the web visualization first an user and a password is requested. After the user logged in, I want to automatically change the visualization to the 'Home' visualization but I am not sure how to do this. In the login visualization I basically have a button with the input configuration to execute the action 'Login' after a click. Once the user is logged in, the visualization is still stuck in the login page and I want to automatically change to Home visualization if the user was succesfully logged in. How can I know the number of web visualization clients connected to my PLC? Thanks in advance

Hi! We're using a WAGO PFC200 for several projects towards the energy sector, and recently upgraded to CODESYS V3. We have the "IEC 60870-5-104 Server" package in a test program, and it works well with the package in DEMO mode. However, when we acquired a license for the "IEC 60870-5-104 Server" package and tried to add the license on the PFC200 through the license manager, we get an error (see attached file). It seems like there is no CmContainer on the device, does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? We've also contacted WAGO on this issue a while back with no feedback yet.

Hi can you give more details? Are you talking about a danfoss? wich model? Can post the configuration of channel' I used, on the past, serial modbus with danfoss fc280 I remember ((id x 10)-1) I remember that you couldn't use continuous reading/writing of the directors but you had to use them one at a time. it seemed that reading empty registers (caused by x10) was not accepted by danfoss. So I had created a scan that used just one register, then the next etc etc with a timed interval. But this was for the serial, I don't know if it's the same thing with ethernet. I currently use Ethernet TCP/IP interface with FC280.

Hello, i currently want to use a wago 750-8102 with the "codesys control for pfc100" runtime. I want to add the devices connected to the internal pfc100 bus via the "search devices" tab. This was reccommended in the following thread: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Deutsch/thread/7701332199/ But whenever i try to search for devices codesys just doesnt find anything and i cant close the "search devices" window. Has anyone got an idea what the problem might be? I already tried adding the devices connected to the pfc100 manually but the bus just doesn´t start. best regards Moritz

Hello, I am seeing some weird runtime behavior related to the EQ function on a rapsberry pi based system. I have attached a screenshot showing the strange latching I am seeing on the EQ function, and I have not seen this behavior before. I tried freshly restarting the runtime and it has this same behavior. Anyone seen this? I am on 3.5.20 with the latest runtime installed. Basically, as soon as it hits one of those EQ's in the program, it latches effectively locking the output on. Any input from the Codesys team would be appreciated as well as anyone that might know what I am seeing.

Hello, CODESYS Control is running on my RevPi, and my system communicates over a CANbus with a master using the ConnectCan module (Slave - CANopen Device). The communication works perfectly fine so far. However, as soon as I call a Python script with "SysProcessExecuteCommand2" that creates a CSV file and executes without errors, the master does not adopt any changes to the Transmission Process Data Objects (TPDOs). I don't quite understand what one has to do with the other, and perhaps someone can help me with this. Here is my script call: SysProcess.SysProcessExecuteCommand2(pszCommand:='python /home/pi/test.py', pszStdOut:=sCMDOutput, udiStdOutLen:= SIZEOF(sCMDOutput), pResult := ADR(eResult)); Thank you in advance! Hi All, I'm trying to develop a multi-application project that allows me to switch between applications. I currently have a parent application and several child applications, as this is the only way for them to share CAN/Ethernet communication. I've noticed that I am only able to create an Alarm Configuration for the parent application. But the children application do not seem to be displaying alarms on the Alarm Table in the visualisation for when an alarm is raised. Does anyone know of a fix, solution or a way around this? I am utilising Codesys v3.5 SP16 Patch 5 64Bit

Hello everyone, I have a problem with the example project Responsive Design Example, which is available here in Codesys Forge. I wanted to try switching the visualization depending on the device type. To do this, I used a smartphone to access it. I can see via breakpoints that the Smartphone visualization is selected, but the visualization of the normal monitor still appears on the smartphone. Could there be a problem with the libraries, or why is the device not assigned the correct visualization page? I dont know how do further debuggin or troubleshooting. Thus, all tests would have to manually reset values when complete to prevent contamination to other tests. * It is not possible to see which statements were/weren't executed. One would have to use the flow control tool which cannot be used in conjunction with the Profiler, and must be viewed in realtime. * The profiler control cannot be automated and therefore must be executed through a manual procedure. Does Ver. 4.12 support Raspberry Pi 5? I have three issues. The first issue is that Codesys cannot detect the RPI 5 when I want to download the runtime. When assigning the IP Address manually then I can download the runtime. The second issue is that I cannot connect to the RPI to download a program. Sometimes the window pops up and it ask for the user credentials, but it is still not connecting. The third issue is that I cannot connect to an ESP32 configured as a Modbus Slave with a Raspberry Pi 4B. I can connect to the ESP32 via a Radzio! Modbus Master Simulator. I am also missing the function Write Holding Registers in the setup of the slave. Are this known issues and when it will be solved?

Hi everyone, I use Python Script to generate some POU in Codesys V3.5 SP19 and I would like to limit the "Access Control" to them thanks to the Python command. Is there any commands that allow to edit the "Properties... >> Access Control" of the POU? The other possibility is to set the permissions with "Project >> User Management >> Permissions... >> Project objects >> Modify >> ... >> myPOU", but I did not find the related Python commands. Otherwise, is there a global setting that allows to set the permissions by default? For example, Modify = Denied for everyone user by default. Thank you in advance for your help, Nico

max. string length in Codesys is 255 chars. It's not possible to cram 20,000 things in a string. If you need to send the data to another device, send the whole data[] array (as byte array, without doing anything to it) and extract the information on the other end. As each struct member has a fixed size (81 bytes, as per you declaration), this will be easy. To save some resources, consider declaring string lengths - e.g. if the max possible length for key is 10 chars, declare it key: STRING(10); and it will occupy 11 bytes instead of 81

Hello , I am new to codesys ,working with it for just 15-17 days so ,i think i am able to installed it and configure it ,not i want to use ardunio program (smart dustbin ,college project using motor and Ultrasonic Module HC-SR04 and servo motor). i use ardunio program to write code with chatgpt to work ardunio as a modbus rtu as i dont have ethernet or wifi shild ,i wrote program in ariduno but now don have idea what change i have to make in codesys to comunicate as modbus slave it give error with bus error ,where i can get all errors ?
