After returning to version 1.5.3.0, the problems disappeared. Probably the version number of this library is responsible for supporting the appropriate Firmware Revision. Can anyone confirm or deny my suspicions?

Hi everybody, I've been facing problems with the PDF visualization in Web Browser. I am trying to open a pdf file called 'sample.pdf' which I manually saved inside PlcLogic/visu folder. I am setting the web browser URL as: 'http://127.0.0.1:8080/sample.pdf' but I get 'refused connection'. I got a similar error trying to open https sites and I discovered that I can only open http websites. Opening 'http://de.wikipedia.org' everything works fine. I also tried to check using code whether the sample.pdf is present in the directory. Unfortunately, when I try to read directories of 'PlcLogic' I get file FILE_OPERATION_DENIED (I am using File.DirList). I would like to be able to open PDF files in web browser. Possibly to move new PDF files in the folder as my customer wants to display different pdf manuals on the hmi. Here you find some screenshots and my .project. I am using Codesys 3.5.19.70. Objective: I want to dynamically update the content with strings and JPEG images received from a TCP/IP socket. For this purpose, I am exploring the possibility of utilizing the Web Browser feature of the Visualization toolbox. Example: In a standard web browser, entering data:text/plain;charset=utf-8;base64,SGVsbG8gc3RyYW5nZXI= in the URL window will display "Hello stranger" on the webpage. Issue: When attempting to use this method in the Web Browser of the Visualization toolbox, the content does not display as expected. Instead, it shows the error:'Navigation to the webpage was canceled.'. Request: I seek guidance on how to resolve this issue so that the Web Browser in the Visualization toolbox correctly interprets and displays the data URI content. Alternative Solution Welcomed: Or, if it is possible to directly use Codesys Structured Text (ST) variables within an HTML page, this approach would also meet my requirements. Ok, I have a simple test environment. From C#, using OPC UA, I can read DINTs, write DINTs, read Structs, but when I try to write a struct I get BadNotWritable. I am using Communication Manager, OPC UA Server, and IEC Symbol Publishing. I have a struct defined with one single DINT in it. The instance of the struct is in GVL. The struct is marked read/write in IEC Symbol Publishing. Any ideas? However, when I use the rising edge, the connection works, but I don’t see any changes on the I/O card. For the output module, I assigned one bit to high. After that, I ran CODESYS Control Win V3. (Should I be running the PLC as well?) I built the program, but I am not receiving any response from the I/O card. Could you please advise on what might be causing this issue?

ENG For some reason, I can't bind a variable to the data parameter. Also, why does only the sdo_read4 function work for me? I also can't write through sdo_write4. I can only view the received values via sdo_read4. Please help me with this task. Moreover, I tried to write the values through sdo write 4 and for a while the data stopped being written and I overwritten it manually and sdo read4 started working again and at the same time they do not want to work in the main task. RU Я не могу почему то привязать переменную к параметру data. Так же у меня почему работает только функция sdo_read4 так же не могу записать через sdo_write4. Могу только просматривать полученные значения через sdo_read4. Помогите пожалуйста с этой задачей. Причём я попытался записать значения через sdo write 4 и у меня на какое то время перестали записываться данные и перезаписал вручную и sdo read4 начал работать снова и одновременно они не хотят работать в main task.

Hi everyone, is there a way to programmatically clear the cache of the Data Source Manager in CODESYS so that variable values are re-synchronized from the OPC UA server (Symbol Configuration with OPCUA features)? Alternatively, is it possible to trigger a manual synchronization of data source variables from within the application code at runtime? Here’s the situation: A variable is first written by the OPC UA client to the server in one state of a state machine and changes to another state – so the initial communication works. Later, the server changes the variable value, but the client does not receive or reflect the updated value, unless the variable is actively written again. I’m looking for a way to force the client (data source manager) to re-read or refresh the variable state from the server, possibly by clearing the internal cache or triggering a sync. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have a main PLC with my CODESYS project on, including Web Visu. I also have a second device used for pump monitoring, all of this is displayed on a seperate HMI. I am looking at displaying the pump monitoring HMI on WebVisu so that I can solely use 1 HMI rather than having two. I can project the pump monitoring HMI into Chrome, and log in and it works fine. When I'm using the Web Browser element in Web Visu, enter my URL (device IP) it shows me the web page, but doesn't show me all of it. It uses parts of JavaScript for the login authenticiation and various other widgets. Similarly, I cannot get Youtube or Google to display on WebVisu either (possibily because of the same reason). Does anybody have any tips on how I can display the likes of Youtube or Google onto WebVisu so I can view it on my 7inch HMI (I suspect that if I can get Youtube or Google to work, then I will also be able to get my pump montitoring web page to work too).

Hi everyone, I'm working on a multilingual help system within a CODESYS visualization project and have run into a limitation with the current text list (.tlx) functionality. Right now, text list entries only support plain text, which makes it very difficult to format longer help texts in a readable way. For example, I’d like to: Use bold headers and larger font sizes for section titles Display variable names or keywords in italics Avoid having to split content into dozens of separate entries just to apply different styles This becomes especially unmanageable when supporting multiple languages — duplicating layout logic across languages is not scalable. Would it be possible to implement a Markdown text functionality for text list entries ? For example: #Header ##Sub-header 1.ordered 2.list 3.fun 4.times Alternatively, is there any existing workaround or planned feature that allows for styled text blocks without fragmenting the content? In the VPLC configuration settings there is an entry for the IP address of the license server. In this setting fill in the IP address of your device (host IP address). Then when the virtual PLC starts up, it will get the license from the license container on the host. You can do this for all VPLC's running on your device. The VPLC will always take the smallest license which fits the required license. So if you have 2 licenses for VPLC's with small and large applications, then this will work fine if you start up one VPLC which requires the small license and the other which requires the large license. PS, personally I find it much easier, especially for testing and experimenting, to activate the licenses on a CODESYS (USB) key. This is easy to activate (on your development PC) and easier to move to another device. Addtionally you don't loose the license when you need to install a completely new image on the device.

So I am basically using IoDrvEthernet library to use UpdateConfiguredIPSettings function but I am getting constantly the 'INVALID_STATE' error. Hi, I'm trying to monitor a specific PGN which I have it sending a pulse every 500mS Problem: Using the Watchdog for the ECU does not really help me as I have multiple instances with separate PGNs, if a PGN goes ghost, the ECU watchdog won't be flagged as the others will be running. Hi I am trying to import a custom information model that I created using UA Modeler. I have only added two new methods and two new object types. It is possible to add the information model to the Communication Manager and the two new object types are shown in the Information Model tab. After compiling i get the following error: Communication Manager [Device: PLC Logic: Application]: The information model http://opcfoundation.org/UA/ is required by http://yourorganisation.org/Bsp_3.1/ with a minimal publication date from 15.12.2023 but the device has only a model from 15.09.2021 installed. Probably the information model from 15.09.2021 is missing in the information model repository. The error message does not make sense to me. Should it not be “Probably the information model from 15/12/2023 is missing in the information model repository”? Anyway I have installed the information model from 15/12/2023 but not from 15/09/2021. Which makes the error message even stranger.

Hi all, I am using CoDeSys V3.5 and a soft controller Win V3x64. I am trying to read a modbus slave via Function Blocks and not via the channels of the hardware tree for the Slave. I created some requests of type ModbusRequest and I notice that I can read Input Registers and Coils but I can not write Holding Registers and Coils. I am using the library IoDrvModbusTCP 4.1.0.0. When i just use a single modbus request with FC06 (or FC16), there is no request sent to the slave and although the xExecute takes its true value from a pulse of 2 seconds duration, I take almost every 3 minutes an error "TCP_COMMUNICATION_ERROR - 16#A5 - TCP Port. error. Request was not sent". My code is ok because if i change the function code for reading registers, everything works fine. Did anyone have this issue in the past? Thank you in advance.

Hello, In our workshop we have a Lenze i950 servo drive that has an EtherCAT bus and CiA402 compatibility. The WAGO is PFC200 750-8212 and as per documentation it has built-in license for SoftMotion Light functionality. It is not capable of supporting the full SoftMotion functionality like gearing and synchronizing. I added the EtherCAT esi files from Lenze and the EtherCAT master does see the drive, then I added a SoftMotion Light Axis object. The problem is that I can only energize the axis, I cannot execute any other commands. I set the positive and negative torque limits from the PDOs to 200% and when I try to move the axis by force it does not move back to its original position. I use the SML function blocks from the PLCOpen library and the error from the function blocks is that the op mode cannot be changed. Then I tried using a standard SoftMotion axis object and everything works fine, except the MC_Home function block. The axis moves back to its position when forced out of it. I follow this guide from Lenze - Lenze i950 CODESYS V3 What could cause this issue with the SoftMotion Light axis object? Best Regards Konstantin Kolev

Some new test. Now I cannot connect from Automation server to my gateway in any way also from my office setup with my unit directly connected to my router by dhcp. I can use the IDE and the tool "Connect Edge Gateway" and successfully connect to my server/link to my Automation server account. However no PLC will respond from Automation server "Network scan". I guess the traffic should be initiated by the gateway towards automation server? Any tips on how I can diagnose my problem? Ports to be opened etc? Thing is that this has been working previously but not now (base system has been updated from debian 12 to debian 13, but I dont know at which point it has stopped working). Setup as before. A "Codesys Control for Linux SL" running on a debian 13 installation. Any help/tips appreciated! Per Update. Found the error. Had a wrong gateway-setting. Which meant the PLC could not reach internet. Checked by "ping google.com" from the PLC.
