Post by timvh on File access operation denied CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Go in Windows to this location. Right click on this file and go to properties. Is it in Read-only state? Then CODESYS cannot open in Write mode.

Post by ben1 on How to write multiple coils (Modbus FC15) CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Yeah that is odd - sometimes you have to do what you have to do unfortunately. Have you tried sending consecutive bits in the word instead - ie. instead of [0].0. [1].0, [2].0 etc, send [0].0,[0].1, [0].2 etc. ?

You need an SPI driver for the board. If there is nothing on the net, you will have to write one yourself

Post by ojz0r on Multiple applications on one device sharing variables. CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
One thing you could do is create an object with the variable as field with a function and procedure to get the variable (read) and set the variable (write). These are then called from your program and the vizualization.

Post by felipemsgarcia on Axis EtherCAT address CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I'd like to write some parameters to axes from inside a function block where I passed axis by reference, using ETC_CO_SdoWrite. Is it possible to get the device address from inside the function block? Please see example below. Thank you!

Post by ph0010421 on Axis EtherCAT address CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello SDO will write to the drive, not the axis, so you need to pass in the ethercat slave: VAR_IN_OUT Axis: IoDrvEthercatLib.ETCSlave; END_VAR Then you can get the address with: Axis.PhysSlaveAddr (as UINT)

Post by durallymax on Making a Visu Element normally invisible and visible if variable is true CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
You can write any expression that evaluates to TRUE/FALSE in that property, you can also call a method from the property.

Post by timvh on Unable to select VisuDialogs.Numpad in Open Dialog input configuration CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
You should not use the "open dialog" to change the value. Instead use the input configuration "Write Variable" to change a variable value in the visualization. in the setting of this input command, you can choose the Input type (select dialog).

Post by davidbo on Why is Application_DataLog.sqlite not moved to my directory CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
In CODESYScONTROL_User.cfg I have [SysFile] FilePath.1=/etc/, .dat FilePath.2=/home/pi/DataLog/, .sqlite, .sqlite.metadata, .sqlite-journal, .sqlite.tmp PlcLogicPrefix=1 Should that not write the Application_DataLog.sqlite in the /home/pi/DataLog/ directory? Or how do move the working directory for AC_Datalog ?

With reference to the release note for "CODESYS Recipe..." from CoDeSys (https://www.codesys.com/ecosystem/release-lifecycle/releases-updates/recipes/). After updating that software module to v4.6.0.0 on CoDeSys 3.5.21.1 I am no longer able to reproduce the problem.

I have also been troubled by this issue for a long time, to the extent that I have to implement a recipe management library myself. Codesys version used: 3.5.19.40

I have now renamed my recipe to Parameter and now use SaveRecipeAs. The correct folder is displayed in the dialogue box, but the recipe is not saved. What could be the reason for this, write permissions? Recipe manager buggy?

Post by dominggus on Recipe Manager - RecipeManCommands, load & write wrong values, Bug? CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
I've workaround it by not using an array but 30 instances of the struct and putting these in the recipe, and then using converter functions to save and load

Post by ph0010421 on Sending Sequential Modbus TCP Packets CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello You'll need to write a proper sequence to send, then wait for confirmation, and then move on to the next step. Use the CASE statement in ST. It's perfect for creating a sequence.

Seems like you use SIZEOF as size, but you need to use LEN as size of data which you want to write.

Post by wbj0t on Global variable access by Programms and Modbus Devices (attach device to bus) CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi everyone. I use Raspberry Pi 4, one core codesys SL. I have a question about global variable access via programm when I glued the same variable to MODBUS SERIAL/TCP DEVICE holding register. So, the question: what behavior of this modifying? When I set "Always update variables (in bus cycle)" and set some task as bus for the Device, then in another task I cant change this varible (can, but immediatly the old value setted again). But the same things works with MODBUS SLAVE: again "Always update..." and master attached to some task, then I change variable in another task and all works. I cant set up my variables from retains file at PrepareStart event because of this behavior with MODBUS SERIAL/TCP DEVICE. Thanks, wbj0t.
