Hi all, I am attempting to use the Control Win V3 soft PLC to control a WAGO 750-315 remote I/O system via modbus RTU communication. I am struggling to connect to the device. I have been following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlRfkESaNds I have setup my devices as shown in the images below. I have verified that my com port settings are correct as I am able to connect/control using modbus simulator software with these settings. I have also connected to a modbus master simulator program as instructed in the video, but the orange triangles will not go away. Additionally, I have updated my settings to 485 using the PLC shell. I have also set "always update variables" to enabled (1). Serial port, PCI-Bus, and modbus serial device status all show as "Not Running."

Hello All, Hopefully I can get some help configuring an OPC UA subscriber in a CODESYS runtime in a Raspberry Pi 5 that tries to retrieve data from an OPC UA publisher (in this case running in a TwinCAT system). I tried to follow the steps described in the page to implement the OPC UA subscriber: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Examples/_ex_opcua_pubsub.html Seems that the example provided was created with version 3.5.16.0. Now with version 3.5.20.20 is not possible to open the complete project neither convert it. Anyway, after configuring all IPs and ports used in the OPC UA connection function block but the connection state always shows DISABLED. Can someone help me to do the proper configuration of the OPC UA subscriber? Many thanks in advance.

I download an application to an ARMv7 32 bit device. I start the applicatin and it all works fine. But when i restart the device the boot app is not able to start. I have to redownload the application from the development environment to get to run again. I get the following error messages in the log on the restart

I stopped the simulation and tried to rebuild. "Cloned Task0.task0. Priority already in use" error was shown after rebuilding. I used Build-Clean All option and rebuilt again. Now the logic started working. But I am not still sure what caused the error in first place. If somebody knows about this error, please enlighten me. Thanks svn

Hi! I'm still on the hunt for drivers for example TCA9548 and a list or somewhere where all devices for raspberry is gathered. as this post is quite old I'm hoping/gussing that there is somewhere where work after 2021 is gathered? Or has the raspberry part if the community slowed down on creating device drivers?

Hi all, I am currently working on a project where I need to save data automatically on many diffrent USB-Sticks, which are always plugged in the same USB-Port on a Rasberry PI, but I do not get how I can automatically detect the USB devices Folder Name and save a file there on Linux. Thanks!

Thank you for the response! It's a path I had already considered, however, while it has always worked for me on inputs, it doesn't on outputs, because if I enable the option to update all IOs at every scan, the IO tasks overwrite each other. However, I have found something very interesting which I am posting below.

Hello, I don't really know what my problem was, but it's working for me at the moment. All i did was to change my code because of some REAL_TO_INT conversions, like i wrote above. And later a complete new Pi setup (because of 64x support with 4.10.0.0 now).

I installed CodeSys V3.5 SP9 for HY-eVision2 1.18.0.0 and activated the License Keys for SVN and noticed that the "SVN" doesn't pop up when i go on Menu - Project. For some reason the SVN works on CodeSys SP10. I already deinstalled all CodeSys Applications and installed them again but it's the same. Maybe the problem already occurred and someone could help me.

you need to set the increments to 10 (the screenshot shows 10000 hex = 65536). all the turn settings to 1. and the application units to 366. But usually you use the resolver resolution per motor turn. Insert the gear ratios (1:1 for no gear) and the last field you put the circumference of your drive wheel.

Currently started working on codesys i want to know is there any COP instruction with similar functionality in codesys like rockwell. Hi all, I want to know if someone has an idea of how I can write on value change in Modbus Codesys. I have a Wago PLC and I was used to work with E-cockpit which it was quite easy to do that without the necessity to trigger any value when there was a change in the variable ( I will put how easy is ). how you can see just changing the trigger in "On value Change" will do that channel writing automatically when It detects a change in those arrays. On the other hand, in Codesys if I enable the rising edge in Codesys It ask me to put a bool variable and if triggers is going to write that value. That is making me that I have to create a function or a logic to detect the change, the problem I have is that doing that is very tedious. I first approach I got it was to create a Function who returns a bool when the value change, but I tried to keep the old value but what is happening is that in Functions all the data is erased every cycle so I can not keep any Old value. so in the Main program the trigger is going to be TRUE all the time due, the old value is cero every cycle. The second approach I got it was using a function Block (POU_1) and it works but I dont want to instance that function for every Channel or value that I want to check if the value change, Basically if I have 200 values to write trhough modbus I have to create 200 instances of that function which I think it is not practicall at all. It should be a better way to implement this as e-Cockpit from Wago Does. However, I haven't been able to know how.

most important information are missing: Which CODESYS Version? Which runtime version? Which plc type (manufacturere).. Not all plc manufacturer already support application based licenses. From your pictures I see you have activated 4 axis Motion (which is an applications based license type) does only work on plc's which do support this.

hello i have installed codesys runtime mc sl and sl on a CM4 but after 30 second process exit. have tried those runtime versions: 4.08 4.09 4.10 4.11 i get this message in all situations: ooops... this runtime was built for RASPBERRYPI. I've been searching through these libraries, syssocket and net base services and they all seem to use the same structure for IP address for the connect function, SOCKADDRESS. At a glance, it doesn't look like that'll work, maybe it's just missing in the documentation somewhere?? I'm wondering if anyone has done it.
