Objective: I want to dynamically update the content with strings and JPEG images received from a TCP/IP socket. For this purpose, I am exploring the possibility of utilizing the Web Browser feature of the Visualization toolbox. Example: In a standard web browser, entering data:text/plain;charset=utf-8;base64,SGVsbG8gc3RyYW5nZXI= in the URL window will display "Hello stranger" on the webpage. Issue: When attempting to use this method in the Web Browser of the Visualization toolbox, the content does not display as expected. Instead, it shows the error:'Navigation to the webpage was canceled.'. Request: I seek guidance on how to resolve this issue so that the Web Browser in the Visualization toolbox correctly interprets and displays the data URI content. Alternative Solution Welcomed: Or, if it is possible to directly use Codesys Structured Text (ST) variables within an HTML page, this approach would also meet my requirements. I have found a work around. I have written a python scripts that runs on user login (entry in .bashrc) which overwrites the webvisu.htm and webvisu.cfg.json file with the configuration for the B&R T30 panel (resolution and disable scaling). First I tried to add this setting to the the CODESYSControl.cfg, but that does not work following the big CODESYS Control V3 Manual. [CmpTargetVisu] Application.WindowPositionX=0 Application.WindowPositionY=0 Application.WindowSizeWidth=800 Application.WindowSizeHeight=480

Hello, I'm coming from Siemens (TIA) world and currently learning Codesys. I'd like to know if there is an option to add external txt file with ST code for creation of a function block and then use this file as a source file from which FB will be generated? For example, in TIA, there is an option add external source file to the project structure and then use option "Generate blocks from source". This would create a FB. Does Codesys have something similar? This external source file would look like this: FUNCTION_BLOCK Scaling VAR_INPUT x, k, n : REAL; END_VAR VAR_OUTPUT y : REAL; END_VAR VAR END_VAR y := k*x+n; END_FUNCTION_BLOCK

I want to extract each element of an Array. Can someone help me with this. When I use JSONElementToString (part of JSON Utilities SL), I am seeing output as "ARRAY" instead of actual data. Here is the JSON content that I want to read : { "value1Unit": { "units": "M" }, "data": { "stepSize": 300.23, "points": [6,8] } } I would like to read each item of the element "points" i.e. 6 and 8. Pretty sure I know the answer, but thought I would ask just in case. Is there a way to set variables declared in a POU to private so that they can not be accessed from other POUs. I tried using the library pragma, but that just stops the variables being displayed in the selection tree. My compiler version is 2.3.9.62 if that's relevant, and I'm using an ABB AC500 V2 PLC. Hi all, Im new to Codesys 3.5, and am in the process fo making a visualisation i'd eventually export towards a Wago device. The issue I'm having currently is that when I compile and connect to the simulated program, my simulation won't launch. On the Visualisation tab, all I get is a text message (where previously there was my prepared visualisation) that says "The visualisation awaits a connection. Start the application" One thing to note: I work with Codesys 3.5 in french, so this is a rough translation. And a second: I'm not getting any errors nor warnings about the visualisation tab itself upon compiling Is there a step i'm missing after launching my simulation? Or would it be some really specific issue caused by the way I've set up my program? Thanks, J

Hi! What are the best practices for querying multiple Modbus devices? Single PRG or maybe multiple PRG (so basically multiple thread) per each Modbus device. In my current implementation I'm using single PRG and I'm utilizing FbMbMasterMultiQuerySerial and WagoAppPlcModbus.FbDigitalTwinMbSlaveDevice in eCockpit with PFC200. I've the timer with 2 seconds delay there and it was working fine for single device. But now I have three Modbus devices and for two of them I need to run 2/3 queries to get data from all registers. I noticed that the delays for getting the data from the Modbus devices is much bigger right now.

Hello I'm trying to use DirOpen to access a directory where then I can read/list the files inside. But I can't list any files because DirOpen.xError is always true. In eError the message is this: " ERROR_UNKNOWN Local library error ID (0: no error; 5101: time out)**** " I have in the file explorer the path 'C:\CodesysTest\Aluminium' and to make sure I also created in the plc a folder to 'prj/Recipes/Aluminium'. I tried using the different paths, but in both it happens the same thing.Inside the folder Aluminium there is two csv files, that I want to list. I added in the library manager CAA Files and CAA Types. I am using the example of https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/CAA%20File/Current/Examples.html#directory but not matter what I do, I can't get the list the names of the files. What am I missing?

Hello just to give more feedback the error I get is "ERROR_UNKNOWN :represents raw value of 5110" in File.DirOpen. The xDone never gets true, and I never get the listing of files (csv files in this case). In the hDir i get the value of 0 for a DWord!?

Thanks for the answer Tim. I am using the codesys version 3.5 SP16, is this also affected or only after version 19? But now at leastI know that is an acess problem to the file and not something else. Unfortunately the link you posted on 2023 are now dead, but I will investigate!

I've also noticed that when I turn off "enp1s0", suddenly the source IP for the ModbusTCP changes to that of "enp2s0", which is what makes sense to me. When I turn it back on, the source IP remains that of "enp2s0".
