[CmpOPCUA] NetworkAdapter=eth0 But it doesn't work, I had to insert the following section instead to get the right configuration. [CmpOPCUAServer] NetworkAdapter=eth0 Regards Rossano

I'd like to know if it is possible to have the "Name" field, in the recipe definition, language dependent. Something like to have the possibility to put there a string ID that will be add to the GlobalTextList. In this way it can be translated and when showed in a Visualization screen its value depend on the current language. Thanks.

I ended up figuring it out It wasn't in my code. It kept taking me to 2 of my visualizations but it wasn't going to anything specific. Figured out it was some arrows that I had made to buttons for a mouse click to go to the other visualizations. I removed the text in the assign box but didn't remove the action "change shown Visualization from the list. If I deleted the images all together, the error went away. That's how I thought to go look at that.

i know, this is the reason for us either. PLC-Handler is to big, and only available with additional Contracts/Costs. OPC-UA is to slow for us. As described, there is a solution available, but im not allowed to post them here. i would prefer you send a message at codesys store by "have a question" or similar called. Not sure. Or, if an Codesys-Official Member allows to share that informations, i can give you the right hints.

I have several libraries which contain values that should be saved on a PLC. As apparently no Persistent Variable List is available within Libraries, I use the Persistence Manager to create a Persistence Channel in the Project which imports the library. I then specify the persistence channel in the library using the {attribute 'ac_persist':='PersistenceChannel_CT'} specifier. This generally works very well and gives me exactly the properties I require. However, it came to my attention that the (alphabetially) first value from the library is not saved in the created ASCII file. When checking the content of the Persistence Channel, it shows all the variables as defined in the library. But the created file does not contain the first value and it is not restored after restart or reset. (see attached picture) I disabled Periodic Saving and set xSaveOnChange to TRUE and so the file usually updates immediately after changing one of the values. When changing the first value, it does not update which is consistent with this value not being saved. I also created a sample project and library from scratch which shows the same issue both using a Raspberry Pi and using a Linux machine. Does someone know what the reason for this could be or did someone make similar experiences? Looking forward to hearing your suggestions. Thanks in advance and best wishes Manuel

When evaluating Codesys functionality, I found that the VPLC tab under Deploy Control SL > Operation > VPLCs is 'gray-ed out', see attached image. I'm trying to evaluate how my infrastructure will interact with Codesys on a Raspberry Pi 4, so I'm trying to demo running it. I was going through the Codesys tutorial here, and it never shows the tab as grey, so I do not know how to proceed. Let me know if I can get any additional information that can help.

Please explain how you configured that. Normaly, the Server should answer to all UID as long as gateway isn't activated. With activated gateway all UID will be forwarded to Serial-Interface, in taht case 255 has to be used for Gateway-Diagnostics. So that means, there is somethink wrong on your configuration. Which CDS-Version, Which Runtime-Version and so on are used.

I'm not really sure what you are trying to do, but maybe you are referring to using the CmpCharDevice library? When you "open" the connection to a device, you can pass flags. What helped me is to set the non-blocking flag. Hello, I'm trying to install Codesys SP21p6 (but the error occurs in SP22 too for eg.) but it fails to install ApplicationComposer. Trying to install myself (version 4.4.0.0 or 4.5.0.0) by clicking 'changing the installation' from the Codesys Installer isn't better. The only message I get is "An error occured during the installation: The file [..]/ApplicationComposer.plugin.dll isn't a valid plugin" How is that? The installation went good the last time before a reinstallation... However, installing the version 4.3.0.0 seems to be successful without knowing what's the difference. I already tried to : - Restart my computer - Delete all temporary files in C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\Temporary Files - Download the package from the store - Compare the ApplicationComposer.plugin.dll from another computer (where the installation is OK) and it's exatly the same For your information, I can install other packages, such as Codesys CFC Can you help me? Do you have any idea of what could be the problem?

Subject: Solution: CODESYS Freezes Linked to Large Symbol Configuration (OPC UA) Hello everyone, I was experiencing the same problem as many here: CODESYS (v3.5 SP20+) freezing during compilation and download, especially on projects that use OPC UA for SCADA. The only workaround was to run Build > Clean all before every download. I believe I have found the root cause and a permanent solution. The Problem: The issue is directly related to a large Symbol Configuration. In my project, I only need about 700 tags for OPC UA, but the Symbol Configuration list was showing over 250,000 tags. This is because it automatically includes all variables from Global Variable Lists (GVLs) and other memory areas. When any static variable is changed, the IDE tries to rebuild this enormous list, causing it to freeze for several minutes. The Solution: Instead of letting CODESYS export every variable by default, you can use a pragma to tell it which variables or GVLs to exclude from the symbol export process. Place the following pragma at the top of any GVL or data structure that you do not want to be part of the symbol configuration: 1 {attribute 'symbol' := 'none'} 2 VAR_GLOBAL 3 // All variables in this GVL will now be excluded from the 4 // Symbol Configuration by default. 5 InternalVariable1 : INT; 6 InternalVariable2 : BOOL; 7 END_VAR After adding this pragma to all the GVLs that were not needed for OPC UA, the number of tags in my Symbol Configuration dropped to the correct amount. The compilation and download process is now fast again, with no freezing. This method is much more efficient than manually managing the symbol list in the editor. For this i try to use SysTimeRtc (SysTimeRtc.SysTimeRtcGet) but its not working. After it i tryed to use SysTimeGetMs and something like this but still not working. Library? Mb but check project, SysTime with SysTimeRtc already, all what i know - already is here. Its my first try to learn ST (early used fbd and ladder, yeah), pls help with it. Mb problem with a syntaxis, but im not sure.

Hello, I am currently testing redundancy using two UC20-M4000 controllers with CODESYS Control SL. The basic redundancy functionality (Active/Passive switching and failover) works, but I am experiencing problems when updating the application. Environment Controller: Weidmüller UC20-M4000 OS: u-OS Runtime: CODESYS Control SL 4.12.1.0-1 Redundancy link: dedicated Ethernet connection between the two controllers Time synchronization: NTP configured, time difference between controllers is about 1–2 seconds Current behavior Application synchronization When I download a modified application to PLC1 (Active controller), the application is not automatically copied to PLC2 (Passive controller). However, when I perform a path swap, the application download to PLC2 starts automatically. My expectation was that the Passive controller would automatically receive the updated application after downloading to the Active controller. Online change When performing an online change, redundancy is lost and the controllers switch to Standalone mode. Typical log messages include: RedundancySynchronize called Redundancy failover itself works correctly. The application boot project exists on both controllers (Application.app and Application.crc). Network interfaces are up and correctly configured. Question Is this behavior expected when updating the application in a redundant UC20-M4000 setup? Should the Passive PLC automatically receive the updated application, or is manual synchronization required? Any advice or recommended configuration for stable redundancy during online change and application download would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i have a problem with Profinet on my project. I'm using Codesys RTE 3.5.19.50. When i download program to controller the ethernet is ok, PN_Controller is ok but every device i'm trying to connect is red with error "DCP no RealStationName". When i'm trying to Scan for Devices on PN_Controller there are no devices found. I have installed Codesys driver CmpEt1000Drv to my network adapter (i'm sure it is right intel pro 1000 model). I have noticed that when i installed codesys driver i'm no longer able to ping this network adapter (i can ping it when intel driver is installed). On my previous projects with runetimes i can ping it even with codesys driver installed. I have also tried to do downgrade of everything to version 3.5.19.20 and it not helped.
