@gepert, When you say "I do not turn off power", are you saying you don't power off the drive, or you don't turn of the MC_POWER function block? I read your statement as you don't kill actual electrical power. MC_POWER should stay enabled. @Gustavo, not related to problem at all, but when you say 1.6 Nm is only enough torque to unscrew a loose bottle cap, I think that's a bit low. A quick mental math I use is 1 Nm is almost the same force as 1kG applied to a 10cm wrench. So 1.6kG applied to a 10cm wrench is still not a huge force, but more than enough to be felt if trying to turn the shaft by hand.

The real strength of something like VS Code lies in its vast ecosystem of extensions and integrations: from advanced Git support to automated build/test pipelines, and even AI-assisted autocompletion that already makes software development much more agile and productive. I understand that a PLC project involves more than just ST code (task setup, fieldbus configuration, libraries, etc.). However, there’s no technical reason not to at least provide ST files in a pure text format, making version control and collaboration far easier. B&R has clearly adopted this approach; I hope Codesys will accelerate its own efforts to offer a native, text-based integration and modern development tooling. Once you go beyond a certain level of complexity—dozens of configurations, OOP hierarchies, and distributed teams—you really do need “engineer-level” software tools, not just solutions targeting “wire strippers.” For large-scale automation projects, a more open and flexible approach is the only way to avoid chronic frustration. Let me emphasize that I truly love Codesys and consider the work done so far to be brilliant—I’d be sorry to see it overshadowed by others moving faster in this direction.

We changed the path where the CSV file is. From intern memory of the IPC to a USB key. We still have this error 'INVALID_HANDLE'. We must restart the Codesys runtime to clear it. Indeed, I'm also seeking a solution for this issue. The main challenge we face is the requirement to use EV (Extended Validation) Certificates. Due to security considerations, it's not possible—nor is it ever recommended in such cases—to export the certificate with its private key.

In your soft plc folder, there is a file called targetvisuextern.cfg. Open this with a text editor to change the settings. Remove the semi-colons in front of the lines to enable your custom window settings. WindowType=0 means you will get a moveable window. Save the file and restart the soft PLC to enable these settings.

You have to install any libraries needed by the sample program. Click the button with ... next to one of the errors (see attached image,) then choose download missing libraries. Codesys should automatically locate and install the missing libraries, it's not flawless though, I've had some issues getting libraries to install. The best advice I can give if it doesn't work is re-install Codesys.

Hi, I have an issue with a function which sends a message through API Rest. I'm using a function from httpCLient library. I have tested this function inside a program and it works fine. But when I want to use it inside a function (so I can call it simultaneously from 2 different points on the main program) it gives a stack overflow error. In detail it says: "C0297 Stack Overflow on Main Task. Stack sizes... Call hierarchy:" I have simplified as much as I can the function, but I'm hitting a wall with this. Anybody has an idea of what's wrong? Thanks!

Hi, i think you are right. Did you press the key shopping cart? Codesys tells you the license. What I don't appreciate is that i need an additional license for communication. The system reports opc ua but this cheats you. This is communication that also concerns the tag symbols that codesys eth v3 exchanges with an operator panel. Attached is a screenshot of my case where you can see that communication opc ua is cheating you. 512 tags included in the program license are few. So, I had to buy 2 licenses. one for the program and one for communication. I don't like this policy.

I am asking about this because from the perspective of an "ordinary" user, this service provides easier access to the settings of the time provider's operating parameters. They stem from my specific case, which is experiencing timeout issues. I know that my environment is currently only a test environment. I'm assuming a real-world scenario in which I won't be able to achieve a better result with my configuration, and I will ultimately need to increase the time provider's cycle time. By running the time provider service, I can easily influence the time provider's operation and thus eliminate the problem. I know, I know, safety systems are not life-enhancing extras.

Go to Online>Communication Parameters...>Gateway>TCP/IP> Click on "New..." and reestablish your connections with whatever IP address and set up information you have. Bypass whatever is necessary as you may have to redownload to the PLC.

Hello everyone, I'm using the IoT Library to implement the MQTT communication with my local broker server in order to publish and subscribe at specifics topics to share and consume information about my application. But, it seems that are occurring some memory leak problem in a "high" frequency (more than 10 Hz) subscribe process. I follow the same method as in IoT Lib exemples, and at first looks perfect but my PLC was rebooting frequently and when I check its memory usage that was increasing as fast as the subscribe massage was sent. I'm using a WEG PLC410 and a WEG PLC500, and this error occurred in both of them (including in CODESYS Control Win x64). The application sends to the system a message JSON with the float payload Ex. {"data" : 0.8500}, but this happens with a INT, or BOL as well. I would like for the default user to be able to perform normal operation of the machine, without logging in to the WebVisu. This is possible with the Legacy User Management.
