I just want to highlight, that we intend to use the codesys runtime on an embedded device that has no possibilites to connect any dongle devices to. Hi, I am running Codesys Runtime by purchasing 'Codesys control for raspberry pi MC SL', I am trying to use the Variables from my GVL's. Few of the variables used as a Pushbutton form the Visualization. These 'BOOL' Variable getting unlatched automatically even though there is no write function in the Overall project. All of them are 'Read' functions, at the same time few other BOOL variable behaviors are seems to be fine. I have tried, clean all and download, serval time restarted the hardware. Happy to share any any information. Your input to resolve this issue would be highly appriciated. Version Details: codesyscontrol 4.8.0.0, armhf codesyscontrol based on SDK 3.5.19.0

In our application with CODESYS V3.5 SP19 Patch 5 and the Soft-PLC Name: CODESYS Control Win V3 x64 Typ: 4096 ID: 0000 0004 Version: 3.5.19.50 the application behaves differently when we start the application via Cmp.AppStartApplication(pApp) than when we press the "Start" button in online mode in the IDE. If support for a containerized CODESYS runtime with a license isn't feasible, then I've considered an alternative approach: I've purchased and activated a "CODESYS Control Basic S" license on my Windows notebook, where I already have the Codemeter Control Center installed. Upon activation, I can see the CODESYS license as active on my notebook. Subsequently, I followed the instructions provided in this link (https://faq.codesys.com/display/CDSFAQ/How+to%3A+Setup+a+Wibu+Network+Server+Access+for+Licenses) to configure the Wibu runtime in the CODESYS container to access my external license server hosted on my notebook by editing the CODESYSControl_User.cfg file accordingly. However, it's worth noting that I'm still receiving a response from the Licensing Manager indicating that the runtime is persistently searching for a dongle instead of recognizing the soft container. So how can I get my runtime licensed now? Any ideas?

Good morning @mondinmr, I'm trying to install codesys 3.5.20.0 inside bottles (with wine 9.2). The full installation seems to be done (exept CodeMeter). When I run Codesys IDE an error related to IPMCLI appear and there is non chanse to open the IDE. How did you solve this issue? Thanks a lot.

Hallo, das Thema ist ja etwas offtopic. Aber ich kann gerne mal von meiner Erfahrung berichten: Nachdem ich von 2020 bis 2023 immer einen MacBook Pro mit Intel CPU hatte (i9/32GB) und nun seit Januar 2024 mit dem M3 Max unterwegs bin kann ich Nachfolgendes berichten. Infos zu den Aufgaben, die ich damit erledige: Die Runtime nutze ich nicht auf dem Mac (Wenn ich von Mac rede, dann meine ich damit die Win11 ARM64 Parallels Umgebung) Ich nutze die IDE für Library development und für automatisierungs Tests von CI/CD jobs. Weiterhin öffne ich oft große Projektarchive mit teilweise 160 MB. Erfahrungen zur Installation von CODESYS Versionen: Ich habe einige Versionen installiert, unter anderem, 3.5.14.4, 3.5.17.2, 3.5.16.3, 3.5.18.4 und 3.5.19.6. Ich hatte mit keiner einizgen Installation ein Problem. Die Installation lief immer ohne Probleme durch. Runtimes (Control Win) installiere ich nicht. Ich nutze linux basierte Zielsysteme und bei bedarf eine Windows VM auf einen entfernen Host mit X64. Lokales Gateway läuft ebenso Sonstige Erfahrungen: Ich nutze viele Komponenten Querbeet: Alarming, AC Persistence, Symbol Konfiguration, CFC und ST Editor, externes Packages wie STWeep, Git für Library Entwicklung, Visu, etc. Mit keiner dieser "Komponenten" hatte ich schwierigkeiten oder einen Unterschied zu x64 systemen festgestellt. Man muss aber auch sagen, dass das alles nur ein kleiner Bruchteil ist, was die CODESYS Welt beinhaltet, deshalb sind diese Aussagen auch nur subjektiv aus meinem Erfahrungsbereich. Für das Entwickeln von Libraries sehe ich keine Performance Einschränkungen. Ganz im Gegenteil, für das, dass hier eine emulation stattfindet, ist es erstaunlich schnell. Meiner Meinung nach sind sogar einfache und kleine Projekte schneller als beim Intel Mac. Die Akku Leistung mit dem Mac und Parallels ist fantastisch. Lüfter hört man nicht mal bei der Nutzung von CODESYS. Beim Intel konnte ich sonst ein Spiegelei auf der Abdeckung zubereiten... Was evtl. etwas langsamer ist bzw. mir manchmal so vor kommt ist, der CFC Editor im Online Mode. Aber hierzu fehlt mir ein richtiger Vergleich. Fazit: Ich bin selbst erstaunt wie gut die CODESYS IDE auf einem ARM64 emuliert wird. Ich muss aber auch sagen, dass ich jederzeit eine x64 Workspace zur Verfügung habe, falls was nicht funktionieren sollte. Das habe ich mir extra zum Umstieg zu gelegt. Bisher habe ich es jedoch noch nie benötigt, da meine Anforderungen alle erfüllt werden. Es sollte einem aber bewusst sein, dass dies keine supportete Umgebung ist und man auch bei spezifischen Problemen keinen Support erwarten sollte. Ich nutze CODESYS ca. 4-12 Stunden die Woche und ich warte immer noch auf etwas, um meine X64 Cloud Workspace mal zu verwenden... Vielleicht hilft dir dies ja etwas bei der Entscheidung.

Hello, you probably fixed in this meanwile, but I think your problem comes from dependencies of other libraries. I see in the Project column of errors the "caa types extern" and "caa fb factory", that both have dependencies. Try to check there. Regards, Francesco

I recognized that I have to start the two services "/etc/init.d/codemeter" and "/etc/init.d/codemeter-webadmin" in the docker container as well. If I do so, then the command "cmu -x" returns root@sensoredge-field-netfield-produktmanagment:/# cmu -x cmu - CodeMeter Universal Support Tool. Version 7.60c of 2023-Aug-09 (Build 5625) for Linux/ARMHF 64-Bit Copyright (C) 2007-2023 by WIBU-SYSTEMS AG. All rights reserved. So this time there is no indication any more that "Codemeter is not running". But still we are getting the error when using the license manager in CODESYS development system.
