I had similar assertion failed error messages today. I am fairly new to Codesys. I tried using SFC for the first time, I usually use ST. Anyway I had errors in some of my transitions. I copied and pasted transition code and forgot to change the target of the code. I started getting lots of the assertion errors but now I have sorted out the problems and it compiles OK the assertion error messages seem to have stopped. There do not seem to be any other responses to your post, did you resolve your problem?

Hi thanks once again, Yes it supports because using python scripting I'm able to send data from the rasberry raspberry and receive it on my pc and vice versa (Image attached). But when using the CoDeSyS I just got red flags. Any light on this problem?

That command can't excute on my device. I installed CODESYS into Hilscher's product using container Here is the Docker file what I used. I'm not sure if this docker file have a problem. If it have a problem, please let me know how to download the files into my device using ftp server. Hi there. I have an issue to read and set time for the controller. In the issue many registers described as writable by 6/16 functions, and, in this time, also(!) readable! For example: I have time registers: min, hour, day, mon, year. By specifications it is possible check time (so I need always update these varibles in loop) and set time by writing these same registers, BUT how to set, if they will immediatle updated by current time after writing? So, I need to separate one address at two variables. I have seen option mark: Overlay of the process image by the holding and input register. I understand this so: When I READ by function 3, I will get variable that connected with the same INPUT address and when I WRITE by 6/16 this will change second variable that connected with HOLDING address. BUT, this mark doesnt work, when I write 6/16 and try to get by function 3, I will get written value instead INPUT variable. So, what to do?

Hi All, I finally figured out how to solve it. The only away that I got it to work was to define parity to None on modbus configuration, and now works like a charm. Just for the record I'm using the GPIO port pins (8,10) and a RS485 to ttl shield that you can find online. Thanks all for the support! Regards Ricardo

I just want to highlight, that we intend to use the codesys runtime on an embedded device that has no possibilites to connect any dongle devices to. Hi, I am running Codesys Runtime by purchasing 'Codesys control for raspberry pi MC SL', I am trying to use the Variables from my GVL's. Few of the variables used as a Pushbutton form the Visualization. These 'BOOL' Variable getting unlatched automatically even though there is no write function in the Overall project. All of them are 'Read' functions, at the same time few other BOOL variable behaviors are seems to be fine. I have tried, clean all and download, serval time restarted the hardware. Happy to share any any information. Your input to resolve this issue would be highly appriciated. Version Details: codesyscontrol 4.8.0.0, armhf codesyscontrol based on SDK 3.5.19.0

In our application with CODESYS V3.5 SP19 Patch 5 and the Soft-PLC Name: CODESYS Control Win V3 x64 Typ: 4096 ID: 0000 0004 Version: 3.5.19.50 the application behaves differently when we start the application via Cmp.AppStartApplication(pApp) than when we press the "Start" button in online mode in the IDE. Unfortunately, it looks like the AppStartApplication() function, which is called in the "StopDone" system event, is not able to restart the fieldbus driver correctly, in our case the EtherNet_IP_Scanner: Name: EtherNet/IP Scanner Hersteller: 3S - Smart Software Solutions GmbH Kategorien: EtherNet/IP Scanner Typ: 100 ID: 0000 100B Version: 4.5.1.0 Bestellnummer: 1 And one EtherNet/IP adapter Name: FANUC Robot R30iB Plus Hersteller: FANUC Robotics America Kategorien: EtherNet/IP Remote Adapter Typ: 101 ID: 356_12_4_3 Version: Major Revision=16#3, Minor Revision = 16#1 Beschreibung: EtherNet/IP Target imported from EDS File: fanucrobot0301_r30ibp.eds Device: FANUC Robot R30iB Plus Version Konfiguration 3.5.6.0 The application was cold reset in both cases via CmpApp.AppReset(pApp := pApp, usResetOption := CmpApp.RTS_RESET_COLD. If support for a containerized CODESYS runtime with a license isn't feasible, then I've considered an alternative approach: I've purchased and activated a "CODESYS Control Basic S" license on my Windows notebook, where I already have the Codemeter Control Center installed. Upon activation, I can see the CODESYS license as active on my notebook. Subsequently, I followed the instructions provided in this link (https://faq.codesys.com/display/CDSFAQ/How+to%3A+Setup+a+Wibu+Network+Server+Access+for+Licenses) to configure the Wibu runtime in the CODESYS container to access my external license server hosted on my notebook by editing the CODESYSControl_User.cfg file accordingly. However, it's worth noting that I'm still receiving a response from the Licensing Manager indicating that the runtime is persistently searching for a dongle instead of recognizing the soft container. So how can I get my runtime licensed now? Any ideas?

Good morning @mondinmr, I'm trying to install codesys 3.5.20.0 inside bottles (with wine 9.2). The full installation seems to be done (exept CodeMeter). When I run Codesys IDE an error related to IPMCLI appear and there is non chanse to open the IDE. How did you solve this issue? Thanks a lot.
