Post by svenkaro on Codesyscontrol.service stoppt nach 30s CODESYS Forge talk (Post)

Are you able to dynamically change the JSON message? As in, if wsValue or iValue is linked to some real telemetry that varies over time, will the JSON message reflect these changes? I am only able to send the values that I initialize the JSON message to

Post by gatto on variables between two applications CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I'm experimenting with two applications. I was able to start stop applications with the CmpApp library. Currently in my test the variables declared in the first application are not visible and writable in the second. I ask if there is the possibility of having variables that are visible both in the first application and in the second.

Post by gatto on variables between two applications CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
No. As you can see in the uploaded image, in my test project, I have a variable list GVL_1 which is located in appication_1. But if I write in POU_2, which is instead found in application 2, I cannot find the variables of GVL_1. it seems that the GVLs are children of each app

Post by jeffersonhui on SysProcessExecuteCommand2 terminate CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi, I am using the SysProcessExecuteCommand2 function from the SysProcess library to run the candump command in the PLC's Linux environment. However, the candump command stays running indefinitely. If I was running the candump command from a terminal (via PuTTy, etc), that command usually requires Ctrl+C to terminate. Is there a way to terminate a command that is executed with SysProcessExecuteCommand2?

Post by snguyen on Any ways to prevent Infinite scroll when moving an object to the left or top edge? CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
I've been making few HMIs and I'm starting to get annoyed that whenever I try to align an object to the left or top side of the frame, it quickly scrolls into that direction infinitely. Is there a way to prevent that?

Post by kporter on SoftMotion, accessing PDO input data via object ref/pointer CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Now that SP21 is out, what's the answer? I want to get a pointer to the TxPDO and RxPDO structs. I can generate a STRUCT declaration from the ESI file with a bit of Python. I just need to get the pointer from the ETC_Slave.

Call 10 FB instances. Connect Motor_1_Fault to the i_xHW_FaultDetected pin of FB 1, Motor_2_Fault to FB 2... By doing this, your FB will be flexible. The programming will be smooth like a perfect Drift Boss, instead of "hitting the wall" because it can't be reused!

Post by gseidel on SMC_ERROR SMC_CGR_INVALID_POSPERIOD CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi blitz, that usually means that the modulo period, when converted to increments, is larger than 2^31. (The bus bandwidth is usually 2^32.) What is your "technical unit", do you program in angular degrees? And what is the modulo period? If you want you can post the drive configuration (screen shot of the "General" and "Scaling/Mapping" page). Best regards, Georg

Post by willebro on "Distributed clocks are not synchronized, Rea time problem on hardware" ? CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Engineering/thread/632c29cb93/#8d94 The above comment is the best, but if you just want to see it work you can try disabling the distributed clock. It's not the right thing to do but it should resolve that error.

Post by osande on Trend/trace data CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Ok, the problem is that the trend/trace system can't read function block instance data. The variables has to be stored directly under the program calling the FBs. Thus, FB variables to be trended/traced must be connected to variables declared in the program. Seems like a bug to me!

Post by ilarioimi on Date Picker CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I am new here and need some help. I have added the Date Picker to a visualization page. The date selection works, but the current day is not highlighted. The date and time are displayed correctly by the system, which is set by default to “VisuElems.Visu_DateTime.DisplayUTC:= FALSE;”. Is there some project setting or Visualization Manager setting that I am missing? Thank you. Ilario.

Post by poliautomacao on Absolute movement controlled by an external encoder. CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, is it possible to perform an MC_MoveAbsolute movement, and have the servo move using an external encoder (freeEncoder)? In my application, I have slippage on the main shaft of the servo motor, and I would like to add an encoder to measure the actual position of the material.

Post by gseidel on Absolute movement controlled by an external encoder. CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi polyautomacao, hmm, did you tune the PD parameters as shown in the link I posted above? One thing that could cause the behavior are bad parameters. I also don't understand the screen shot: when you hold the encoder to 0, why is the actual position of the DrivePosControl -208? Best regards, Georg
