Same for me. I have problems with UAExpert too. Can't see the Current Value of Enum and can't control. Did some Tests with Python opcua library. Not working with the communication manager so far.

Post by tk096 on How to get the motor scaling value from code CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi, unfortunately, in Softmotion you have only access to the combined fraction - the scaling factor from user units to motor increments. It can be accessed using MC_ReadParameter with parameter number 1054. increments = user_unit_position * fScaleFactor

Post by bnewman on IECStringUtils.FormatDateTime CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Update as of 2025: This function (IECStringUtils.FormatDateTime) doesn't make any sense there isn't any parameter that accepts a Date_Time value. I have no idea what's purpose even is. I am going to use StuSprintf from the StringUtils library for this purpose.

Hi kporter, what value do you use for the modulo period? Can you please provide the complete axis configuration, including all scaling values? Thanks, Georg

Post by e13740e on Parameterized Property syntax for array element processing CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello. I'm trying to create a Parameterized Property(CDS V3.5 SP21) to avoid copy-pasting code for processing array elements. I can't seem to get any result. Perhaps I am making a mistake with the syntax. None of the declaration options below are accepted by the compiler. If you know and use them (Parameterized Properties) in your work, please let me know. Thank you in advance. Option 1: PROPERTY <property_name> : <data_type> VAR_INPUT <index_name> : <index_type>; // One or more index parameters are declared here END_VAR</index_type></index_name></data_type></property_name> GET Code that uses <index_name> to return a value END_GET</index_name> SET Code that uses <index_name> and the implicit variable <property_name> to write a value END_SET</property_name></index_name> END_PROPERTY Option 2: PROPERTY <property_name> (<index_name> : <index_type>) : <data_type></data_type></index_type></index_name></property_name> GET Code that uses <index_name> to return a value END_GET</index_name> SET Code that uses <index_name> and the implicit variable <property_name> to write a value END_SET</property_name></index_name> END_PROPERTY

Post by ton on How to create a stopwatch? CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi, i guess you want to make a hour counter. You need to store the measured value. Try to use a retain variable, but need a graceful shutdown, or save it your self. see https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/278e325579/ Succes.

Thanks everyone for your input, I am using persistent variables to retain the timer value after machine shutdown, and main task to be as low as possible for the seconds TON to be accurate.

The util.RAMP_INT and util.RAMP_REAL from Codesys have an input for the start value. What is the advantage of this OSCAT ramp instead of the Codesys util lib?

Post by timvh on CAA SerialCOM - hCom Reset max value 1023 CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
You should only open de COM port once and then leave it open. This hCom should not keep on incrementing. (off course when you are done communicating, you need to close the COM port)

Hi TimH Thanks for the information, I thought that was the case so have stepped through the code and found an error that wasn't closing the port, therefore hCom was increasing. Thanks
