There are some ways. One is to use SHR and SHL and it depends on your byte order in the data array. For Motorola byte order: PROGRAM PLC_PRG VAR u : UINT; byte_array_in : ARRAY [1..8] OF BYTE := [16#11, 16#12, 16#13, 16#14, 16#15, 16#16, 16#17]; byte_array_out : ARRAY [1..8] OF BYTE; END_VAR u := SHL(TO_UINT(byte_array_in[2]), 8) + TO_UINT(byte_array_in[1]); byte_array_out[1] := TO_BYTE(u); byte_array_out[2] := TO_BYTE(SHR(u, 8)); If it's Intel byte order just change 1 and 2 in the array indexes.

Hi, I am using an "Exchange 8 bits from EtherCAT Safety Module to PLC" module which allows me to create tags in the safety environment, but how does this map to the standard PLC program? There is no entry in the IoConfig_Globals variables list. Regards Trevor

Hello, I have %QB0 8 high bits and %QB1 8 low bits . How can i swap bits %QB0 and %QB1 for requirment positions in a 16-bit value ? after that i need %QB0 and %QB1 in to 16bits . For that, i need help. Please see attached pictures for your reference. Thanks in advance.

the TCA9548a does not work in Codesys. In Pyton this is only queried once and in Codesys cyclically. Of course you can also insert a terminating resistor in each port, then you should have no problems. I use this one: https://botland.de/8-bit-multiplexer/12723-qwiic-mux-breakout-8-kanal-modul-mit-i2c-multiplexer-tca9548a-sparkfun-bob-16784-5904422341428.html You can simply set the library to the latest version. You do not need Oscat. Do you need an example project for the BMP280?

Hello all, I am extremely new to Codesys and to programming with these languages in general. I have an HMI panel with 8 physical buttons to the right side of it. I am trying to have these set to change the visualization to a specific screen which I have designed 8 of. I currently have "use CurrentVisu" enabled in the visualization manager. I also have input blocks with all of the buttons being directed to output blocks which I want to have as the switcher for the visualization. Picture is attached for what I have currently. This could be the wrong approach to this issue. Any help is much appreciated.

Hello, I am trying to control shift registers 74HC596 and 74HC165 via Raspberry PI with SPI interface. So far I did it with a Microcontroller and now I wanna upgrade my Projekt with Raspberry Pi and Codesys Software to be more flexible. I tried to adapt PiFace Function Block to just send or recive a 8 bit via SPI interface of the my Raspberry Pi. With following code (see attached screenshots) * PLC_PRG * PiFaceDigital * PiFaceDigital.write8 * PiFaceDigital.read8 I have a signal at SCK and MOSI pin of the PI, so far so good. But I really struggle with the unterstanding of the code. Is there some detailed description of each line of code? Or is there somebody in the community who can explain each line of code? Or is there a more simple way to send / recive 8 bit via SPI? Manuel

I want to extract each element of an Array. Can someone help me with this. When I use JSONElementToString (part of JSON Utilities SL), I am seeing output as "ARRAY" instead of actual data. Here is the JSON content that I want to read : { "value1Unit": { "units": "M" }, "data": { "stepSize": 300.23, "points": [6,8] } } I would like to read each item of the element "points" i.e. 6 and 8. Hello, I'm getting the data in Codesys that is an array of 8 bytes. From this array, I need to foram LREAL number, however, because of different endiannes I need to reverse bytes in this array and then copy to a LREAL variable. For this I'm using a loop and it works OK. I wonder if there is a built in function to do this. I have found CAA Memory library but it has functions like reverse bytes in DWORD.
