Some unsollicitated advice: most of us here are customers, just like you. We are not obligated to help you, so please accept our help, hints and tips with care ;-) My advice would be to read the offline manuals and online resources for e-Cockpit. I am sure you will find the anwser you seek in there. PS Since you bought e-Cockpit, you can always contact Schneider since they sold you their product, they should provide support for it.
A little context on The restriction of 440 bytes for the redundancy system per-task-cycle-exchange (the AREA_SYNCRO) is ridiculous, IMHO! might help? It has obviously something to do with "HA" or High Availability a.k.a Redundancy. But what software/settings are you referring to?
About your issue, I believe you are running in "Simulation Mode". You should not run coUnit in Simulation Mode as the log output is not supported under simulation mode. Please activate your local installed SoftPLC from the systray. After that, scan your PLC via the project and connect with it. Download and run ;-)

Tickets can be seen as questions, feature request, bug reports, etc., etc. So any question you might have can best be posted as a Ticket. Ps. The Tutorial's example is also available for download via the software repo.
try the following ;-) https://forge.codesys.com/lib/counit/tutorial/Tutorial/ Further questions about coUnit are better to be posted here; https://forge.codesys.com/lib/counit/tickets/ This way we have all questions and anwsers in a single place and everybody can benefit from them :-)

Why shouldn't the project grow after mutations? Why do you think this is not desirable?

Unfortunatly you do not provide specifics about the specs and setup of your laptop. -> Run CPU-ID for cpu type (e.g. I7-8800) and hardware specs of memory -> What OS do you use? -> What software is started as service on the laptop? -> Have you got a HDD, SSD, or NVMe drive? -> I could go on and on and on... I have a laptop here: i7 8th gen, 2x8GB RAM = 16GB Dual Channel, 512 GB NVMe, running CODESYS v3.5.17.10 in a WIN10 Pro x64 VM with 4 cores and 8GB. I deliberatly installed CODESYS in a sandbox...
