Hello Valenting I am facing the exact same problem , I am wondering how do you handle this, I would be much appreciated if you can share what you have found. Thx
Hi Preimesbergert I have the same problem and same result as yours, I am wondering if you find any root cause? I would be much appreciated if you can share any finding.
Hi All Thanks for sharing this information. For whom may not know why always get error code 16#4000 or 16#4002 while performing Recipe commands, the root cause is There is a line need to be inserted in CODESYSControl.cfg file, which is PlaceholderFilePath.1=/var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic/ I am using Pi, therefore the above path is set to my pi unit, after adding above line to my cfg file, all the Recipe commands work fine. But I still do not know how and when this file got modified though.
Hell Everyone Thanks for sharing these information, I currently have the same issue, not knowing how to resolve this. Does anyone have any update and or solution? Thanks much

Hello All, I need help on my project using Raspberry Pi as Ethernet/IP Device. I am using Codesys V3.5 SP18 Pathch2(64 bit) and I use Ethernet_Ip_Adapter V4.4.1.0. My problem is ,as a EIP slave, my device running for several hours, then all of sudden, the EIP connection dropped, showing message in log: IoDrvEthernetAdapter: Connection with serial number 2 to 192.168.0.10 (which is my EIP Master PLC) timed out and is closed. I attached several pics for my setting and alarm log. I would really appreciate...
You are awesome!!!! Thx so much for sharing, this is exactly I am looking for.
Hi Kunz Do you have update on this thread? I am facing the same issue. Thanks
This is resolved by update Ethernet/IP from 4.3.0 to 4.4.0.
I followed your suggestion, problem solved, THX
I have the same problem, just curious, did you solve this problem? Do you have to upgrade your codesys software?
Anyone knows about this issue? Does it mean Ethernet/ip Adapter has to be licensed?
Additional information, I am trying to set up my Raspberry Pi as Ethernet/IP adapter, so that other Master PLC can reach my PLC cyclically, that is why I added the EIP Adapter under "Ethernet", but the error occurs right after I insert this adapter, please see the picture attached.
Hi I am using Codesys V3.5 SP18 Patch 2+(64 bit) software and it works very well on EIP master, but when I insert the Ethernet/ip Adapter, after compile, it gives me error "SetAdapter is no component of 'Connecotor'" along with other two errors message, pls see the attached picture. I would really appreciate if you can help me on this.
Hi Edwin Even this is old thread, but it actually saved my day. The code you wrote actually works very well , I saved all my retained tags even if PI4 is powered off without using UPS. For whoever wants to make retain variables works, please look carefully on the first page. Edwin's sample code works perfectly.
Thanks so much for all your help, I followed your instruction, both of you are right, silly me, I forgot to import my License to my unit. Problem solved. Thanks again.
Hi All I am running Codesys on PI , everything looks good , but after certain time, maybe 30 min, it seems like my codesys runtime stopped and I am not able to log in from my PC anymore, have to reboot to make it work again. It seems like my PI went to sleep mode, but I disabled the sleep mode from PI, the problem still there. If anyone has seen this problem before, I would much appreciate if you can give me a hint. Thanks
