    Hello,
I am a newbie for the CODESYS Engineering tool. I have the netX90 based development kit from the Hilscher GmbH and I am working on the PROFINET protocol. Actually, I want to connect my device with PC without any additional hardware for PN-Controller. So, for that I downloaded and installed "CODESYS Control Win 64 3.5.16.0.exe" and "CODESYS Development System V3".

Can someone guide me how I can configure the all required things which is needed for the PROFINET connection?. I tried myself with some settings but unable to operate it.

Do you mean that you're trying to establish profinet communication between a codesys softplc running on your computer and the devkit or that you're trying to use the netHat on a Raspberry Pi and trying to set it up within the Codesys programming software?

You might get more knowledgeable answers from the Hilscher forum.

Yes, I want to establish profinet communication between a codesys softplc running on my computer and the devkit.
For your information there is no forum for the NXHX-90 dev kit.

@Morberis, can you help me to do it?. Which steps are used for the configuration?.

    I have done some test.
    Tools-> Device Repository-> Install -> My next90 GSDML file.
Created new project with Codesys Control Win V3 x64.
Scan network which shows my PC in the below of the Gateway tree.
Selected my PC which shows Green symbol. Right click and add device-> Ethernet.
Click on Ethernet add device -> PN Controller.
Assign network adapter to Ethernet and adjust IP of PN controller. Login it will shows device connected. Then start the configuration and PN controller is showing unconnected symbol.

I have done above steps, my PC is hanged with this.
    Can someone guide me?.

You are correct, they don't have a specific forum for the NXHX-90.

Unfortunately I don't have a Hilscher netx device here to try things out with.

Looking in the help file I see that there is a variant device driver for Hilscher CIFX/Netx devices. So that would be a good point to check.

Other than that I don't have any good advice for you other than to check this troubleshooting page. I apologize for that.

    Thank you @Morberis.
I mentioned performed steps as per my thought. Can somebody give further help?.
As per the CODESYS "MY Question" help desk, it is possible to use PC as PN-Controller and we can directly use PN-Slave without any additional hardware in between as I used softPLC (CODESYS Control Win SL).

Read this page and its four sub-pages.

There is a trick with the componentmanager section, the numbers must all be sequential and start from 1. Commented out lines don't count.

When still not scanning look at the PLC logs (double click PLC device > Logs) and Profinet Controller logs (double click PN controller device > Log)

Solved error by not enabling the bus cycle option from PLC setting for the Gateway and now my netX90 is connected.

Does any version of CODESYS tool available which is working on Windows 7?.

As far as I can see only Codesys 2.3 has official windows 7 support.
