Hi everyone, I am still having device logon problem following a fresh install Here are the STEPS I went through following a FRESH CODESYS Win 64 3.5.19.60 install on a different computer. ‘Gateway not configured properly’ when attempting to REFRESH from the Users and Groups. Then did Gateway manage and confirmed it was ok: This message popped out as it was a fresh install: YES then: Initially went with Administrator twice (user & password) but it did not like it. No device is responding to …: Continued by setting a new user Pressed OK and obtained the following message: Stopped and Restarted PLC at that point: Obtained the following: Attempted to login a 2nd time without success. Then I scanned the network to see if matching device can be detected: Only way to get it detected was to remove the tick in the ‘Hide non-matching devices…’ Attempted a WINK but got a return like this one: REFRESH either @ Users and Groups or @ Access Rights returns: Then created user ‘mp’ at Project level ang logged in: Understandably device user mp9876 was not valid for the Project. Device information A few questions comes to my mind following these connection attempts: 1- Gateway not configured properly message pops out because of a non-compatible device ? 2- Why would the device not be compatible ? 3- Any way to make the device compatible ? 4- Any ideas on how to get this connectivity problem to the device solved ?

Hi All, I finally figured out how to solve it. The only away that I got it to work was to define parity to None on modbus configuration, and now works like a charm. Just for the record I'm using the GPIO port pins (8,10) and a RS485 to ttl shield that you can find online. Thanks all for the support! Regards Ricardo

Also had this problem when working on legacy project. My packege was CODESYS Code Generator ARM 4.0.3.0.package. To manage this I used PackageManagerCLI.exe. This tool does not validate certificates appearently. Hardware version or firmware version not supported! (-18, 0x00000BB8, 0xFFFFFFFB) os version is raspbian bullseye

What I wanted to know is if there is a generic EtherCAT slave object already in CODESYS that I can use for anything, remote IO, Drives, VFD's and so on, as long as I match PDO's. Hallo, ich habe folgendes Problem: Nach Installation von RaspiOS auf einem Compute Modul 4 Rev 1.1 stoppt der Service nach genau 30 Sekunden. Ich habe sowohl Buster als auch Bookworm gestestet. Die Runtim versionen 4.8.0.0 und 4.11.0.0 haben das gleiche verhalten. Unterschiedlichste Firmwareversionen haben auch zu keiner Lösung geführt. Bisher liefen die Installationen immer problemlos. Was kann ich tun.

Currently in my test the variables declared in the first application are not visible and writable in the second. Hi, I am using the SysProcessExecuteCommand2 function from the SysProcess library to run the candump command in the PLC's Linux environment. However, the candump command stays running indefinitely. If I was running the candump command from a terminal (via PuTTy, etc), that command usually requires Ctrl+C to terminate. Is there a way to terminate a command that is executed with SysProcessExecuteCommand2?

After installing this new 4.12.0.0 SL version on my RPi5 8GB and the latest bootloader, the runtime disappeared after 15secs. The bootloader my pi uses is from 2024-06-11. I was able to resolve this issue using this post: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/be25c0ff66/ The workaround works for me.

Hi Ricardo. I was having the same problem with Codesys and a Raspberry Pi 2W while using the GPIO uart. Your post helped me a lot. Thanks! But could not understand why MODBUS parity bit makes Codesys MODBUS COM driver stopping to work after first request transmission. Did you see this @eschwellinger ? Regards, Nelson

Gentleman OMG, I made a huge mistake when i tried and moved shaft by hand i hold cover(as on photo) in my fingers. I was convinced that shaft has key but it there is not key. So when i turn cover it slide on shaft. When i take off cover and drive is in standstill, shaft does not move. So everything works perfectly

Hi, Today I ran OPC UA Client Example in 1.1.0.0 version. I opened example visualisation and I tried connected to my OPC UA Server. In first steps looks good but connection was terminate with error OpcUa_BadLicenseLimitsExceeded. I can't test OPC UA Client witohut CODESYS OPC UA Client SL license ? Regards

If I do cold reset it holds persistent variable values. But when I close control win gracefully, and opens it again then it does not. Even, it is not saving ret file in application.

Can you provide some infos on what you did? What model is your camera and which protocols does it support? Is there a direct link to the feed? Does your camera prevent embedding of the feed (this was my issue.)? I had to use additional software (go2rtc) to be able to stream the feed from an ABUS TVIP48511...

naja die compiled library hast du ja - du hast halt eine exception - und dann wirst du gefragt ob du das ganze Debuggen willst. Die offene Bibliothek wirst du nicht bekommen - daher würde ich so vorgehen: Dein Projekt hier mal anhängen so das man mal draufschauen was du genau aufrufst und wie.

Initially I had the same problem in CoDeSys when selecting a newly installed TTF font, while CoDeSys was running. I solved it by closing Codesys and running it again to restart the initialization process. After that, using the new font did not pop up errors. I also had cases with files that had a ttf extension, but were actually not TrueType.

I am having the exact same issue and was wondering if you ever found the problem? The sample program does exactly what it's supposed to with filtering but when I implement it the exact same way in my program, the alarm list just goes blank when I attempt to apply a filter.

Solved EN: The Problem is that the Codesys Edge-Gateways have a License with a runtime of an half year, as long the Gateways are online they will self renew themselfs. In my Case the RevPi was more than a year offline and so the Edge-Gateway was not working anymore. The solution: I accessed a laptop that was directly connected to the RevPi. I installed the Codesys service tool and renewed the certificate manual. DE: Das Propblem ist das die Codesys Edge-Gatways eine Lizenz haben die nur ein halbes Jahr gültig ist. Solange das Gateway eine Internet verbindung hat aktualisiert sich das Zertifikat von alleine. In meinem Fall war das Gateway aber über ein Jahr offline und hat somit nicht mehr funktioniert. Die Lösung: Ich hab auf einen Laptop von Kunden mit TeamViewer zugegriffen, der Laptop wurde mit Kabel direkt mit RevPi verbunden. Codesys Service Tool installiert und dann das Gatewayzertifikat aktualisiert.
