Hello, Can anyone give me advice or tell me what I'm doing "wrong"? I use "enumeration", but via, via (maybe that's the problem?) Similar situation in Codesys 2.3 this worked correctly. If my application does some kind of violation which makes it cast an exception it will trigger my real watchdog which results in a reboot. Unfortunately the log it seems only shows the boot sequence. Is it possible to see what happen before reboot?

Hey, you probably already solved this, But I am posting to anyone coming over this thread with the same issue. Just hold your mouse cursor til black screen pops up. Right click and Left Click Maximize. There Something wrong with how the window minimizes in Codesys. Only happens once in a while. God luck to anyone with the same problem.

Hey schnepper, when i look into your c-file, i would say that only the main-function is declared with cext-addendum in your codesys-library-project. all yöur funtions in library has to be the cext-addendum when the external implementation is activ. if i remeber right, methods and other subelements dont need that, but every base-elements

Hello, I also have the problem that suddenly all variables in my project were invalid and shown as "???" during runtime. Could you manage to fix the problem in the last 4,5 years ;) ? Because I tried everythin to fix it but nothing worked. I feel like maybe this is a bug. Thank you.

My topic is more of academic nature, I would like to implement an XOR-operation with four inputs on my own (without the predefined XOR-operator) in a function block diagram (FBD). I have two proposals. One works fine and the other one is just an idea, but I do not know, if it is possible to code it in CODESYS V3.5 SP18 in form of a FBD. Here the one that works: And here an idea, which I have not managed to code it as an FBD: Any ideas? Is the 2nd diagram a correct interpretation of the coding task? And is there a way to implement it in form of an FBD in CODESYS V3.5 SP18? Followup (08-Nov-2024): Also in the current version of CODESYS (V3.5SP20Patch3) I have not managed to connect the existing blocks. In the alternative SPS-IDE PLCnext Engineer it is possible.

Subject: Solution: CODESYS Freezes Linked to Large Symbol Configuration (OPC UA) Hello everyone, I was experiencing the same problem as many here: CODESYS (v3.5 SP20+) freezing during compilation and download, especially on projects that use OPC UA for SCADA. The only workaround was to run Build > Clean all before every download. I believe I have found the root cause and a permanent solution. The Problem: The issue is directly related to a large Symbol Configuration. In my project, I only need about 700 tags for OPC UA, but the Symbol Configuration list was showing over 250,000 tags. This is because it automatically includes all variables from Global Variable Lists (GVLs) and other memory areas. When any static variable is changed, the IDE tries to rebuild this enormous list, causing it to freeze for several minutes. The Solution: Instead of letting CODESYS export every variable by default, you can use a pragma to tell it which variables or GVLs to exclude from the symbol export process. Place the following pragma at the top of any GVL or data structure that you do not want to be part of the symbol configuration: 1 {attribute 'symbol' := 'none'} 2 VAR_GLOBAL 3 // All variables in this GVL will now be excluded from the 4 // Symbol Configuration by default. 5 InternalVariable1 : INT; 6 InternalVariable2 : BOOL; 7 END_VAR After adding this pragma to all the GVLs that were not needed for OPC UA, the number of tags in my Symbol Configuration dropped to the correct amount. The compilation and download process is now fast again, with no freezing. This method is much more efficient than manually managing the symbol list in the editor. I hope this helps others who are facing this frustrating issue. Best regards.

Das Codesys-Objekt 'Einheiten umrechnen' wirkt auf timeVar (TIME) z.B. innerhalb eines Visu-Rechtecks und funktionier in den Grundfunktionen einwadfrei. Die Ausgabe der Std. von timeVar läuft. Beispiel: Bei t#3d2h10m wird wunschgemäß 74h (volle Std-Anzahl). Die Grenzüberwachung Max= 10 funktioniert nicht, da die Angabe scheinbar ms erwartet (arbeitet mit 10ms). Irgend wie muss man jetzt codesys davon überzeugen, dass auch für Min und Max die Einheitenumrechnerei wirken soll, wobei die Eingabe der Grenzen in Std erfolen muß. Hat jemad einen TiPPPPPPPPP?

Hi, i try to setup a softmotion programm. Controller version 15. Ethercat, When is scan Devices then it install's the drives. 4.11 . Somehowe they have a vesion 16 libary. I tried to install new but stil problems. I tried version 19. Then i get a Visu version problem. What can i do ? Why are ther always problems with a new version ?

Hello everyone, I have a problem with the example project Responsive Design Example, which is available here in Codesys Forge. I wanted to try switching the visualization depending on the device type. To do this, I used a smartphone to access it. I can see via breakpoints that the Smartphone visualization is selected, but the visualization of the normal monitor still appears on the smartphone. Could there be a problem with the libraries, or why is the device not assigned the correct visualization page? I dont know how do further debuggin or troubleshooting. Thank you for the response, The empty softcontainer does not become visible unfortunately, but I think I can get that back to working. I think I'm misunderstanding something. You are pointing to the Softcontainer number and the ticket code, I thought that I needed to fill in the virtual control containers serial code is this a misunderstanding? And if this is indeed the case, how is the link between the server (softcontainer) and the Codesys control docker container made? If I have multiple Codesys docker containers running on the same docker server, how is the correct license distributed to the correct Codesys runtime container?
