Maybe there is a better way, but a long time ago I created a test application that worked like this: With a button I opened the dialog and I added a "Input configuration - OnDialogClosed" "Execute ST-Code" action to this same button which called the following Function when the dialog was closed: F_OnFileDialogClosed(pClientData); Below this Function which handled the result: // This function is called from the visualization when the dialog is closed. In the example project, you can see that a CAN.CANAreaReceiver is used which has an VAR_IN_OUT reference to a RECEIVER_AREA structure. This structure has a dwIdStart and dwIdEnd to filter a range of ID's and process them through the referenced msgProcessor.

System information - Controller: KUNBUS RevPi CONNECT-S - OS: Linux buster 32bit 5.10.103-rt62-v7l #1 SMP PREEMPT_RT armv7l GNU/Linux - CODESYS v3.5 SP19 Patch 2 I'm facing a problem related to codesys licences using a procedure based on a bash script. Such bash script detect the presence of new .deb files and install them on system. My automation solution don't allow to be maintained by dedicated personal, thus even the CODESYS runtime SW must be installed using an "automatic" procedure instead of using the CODESYS tool. remark I've been using the following procedure since the runtime v4.5 without any issue. Before installing the new runtime packages, I need to copy the file CODESYSControl_User.cfg (here attached) because of new section which is necessary to add in order to allow some folders to be written by CODESYS runtime v4.9 Up to now, this has been unnecessary, this is the main difference between my previos bash file and the new one. remark If I skip this action, everythings goes fine, but my CODESYS application can't work as it needs to access some folders on controller's file system. Process - Before the procedure: the licenses are OK (see attached file lic-01.png) - After the procedure: the new CODESYS runtime version is correctly installed, but the software container with v1.19 and all licences disappear (see attached file lic-02.png) This is the synthetic content of bash script I'm using. # Stop runtime sudo service codesyscontrol stop sudo service codesysedge stop # Move the new CODESYSControl_User.cfg file # New configuraton with folders declared sudo mv -f CODESYSControl_User.cfg /etc # Install runtime package echo N | sudo apt-get install -y --allow-downgrades codesyscontrol_raspberry_4.9.0.0_armhf.deb # Install edge gateway package echo N | sudo apt-get install -y --allow-downgrades codesysedge_edgearmhf_4.9.0.0_armhf.deb # Reboot controller sudo reboot Thanks in advance

Hi Everyone, I have a simple project with a single servo, but its my first time using Codesys and motion, so I'm a little confused and lost, I've tried to read the tutorial online, but I'm not having much luck sorry. Can I please ask for some pointers. I have a ComfilePi HMI (Raspberry Pi) communicating to a Omron R88D-1SN08H-ECT amplifier. Please see the attached project file (which is better for sharing, the project file, or a archive?). This file was simply for testing the motion of the servo before anything else is tested with it. The project simply rotates the servo 1 rotation when called for, but the speed can vary based on user input. Nothing much fancy. As yet, I haven't had any servo movement, no errors on the amplifier display. How do I link the motion FBs to the physical drive? Thank you very much for any help you can offer. I'm sorry if I'm doing something very stupid or basic and getting it wrong. Have a good day. Toby

Hi, I am new to modbusTCP and I am trying to access Input registers from codesys (3.5.SP13). The offset is 16#0000 and I am trying to access Channel 1[24] %IW24 to pull analog values. I am using pyModbusTCP and I need to supply a modbus address and the number of registers to read. What does 16#0000 mean in terms of the actual offset, how do I translate this number plus the channel to access this info via python? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I'm not really sure what you are trying to do, but maybe you are referring to using the CmpCharDevice library? When you "open" the connection to a device, you can pass flags. What helped me is to set the non-blocking flag. Thanks for your response! It seems like the VisuElems library has updated functions to the ones you used but apparently these older ones still work, even if I couldn't find them in the library documentation and they are also not suggested automatically by Codesys (when using Ctrl + Space). However, its precisely what I was looking for and it works. Thanks!

I have a project with several buttons and dialogs. Most of the dialogs are opened using the Open Dialog action of the Input configuration of the buttons. Some dialogs are openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB of the Visu Utils library and the FbOpenDialogExtended FB is called in the Execute ST-Code action. I am also using the FileOpenSave dialog from Visu Dialogs which requires an OnDialogClosed action to read out. I realized that the OnDialogClosed action which is meant for the FileOpenSave dialog also triggers if a dialog is closed, which was previously openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB. Is there a way to detect which dialog was closed last and specify to which dialogs the OnDialogClosed action reacts?
