I'm using the SMC_GroupJog2 block from the SM3_Robotics library for manual movement of an AxisGroup in WCS coordinates. The observed behavior is: When pressing X+, the X-axis starts moving correctly. If I press Y+ during the movement, the block interrupts the current movement and starts a new movement in X and Y. If I release any button, all axes stop, even if another button is still pressed. Example: Pressing X+ → X moves Pressing X+ and Y+ → X stops momentarily and starts XY movement Releasing X+ while holding Y+ → all axes stop The expected behavior would be: to allow simultaneous continuous movement on multiple axes to not interrupt movement when another axis is added or removed. Is there a correct configuration of SMC_GroupJog2 to achieve this behavior, or is there another block more suitable for continuous manual jog in AxisGroup (WCS)?

Dear Georg, Thank you for your explanation about the axis scaling. I checked the scaling of Joint6 and corrected it so that one technical unit equals one angular degree. However, I am now facing another issue. When I move all axes to zero position and then try to use SMC_GroupJog2 and MC_MoveLinearAbsolute, I receive the error SMC_CP_CONFIGS_DIFFER I already tried moving each joint manually to different positions before executing the motion command, but the error still appears. I think I understand my problem. They are most probably related to configuration of the network. When I use DHCP for the unit to my router it all works. However when using static IP I have not managed to reach functioning state. Trying to replicate the situation on my desk. Having a static IP on the "debian host" and a connection to my computer which then routes traffic on to internet. I have entered settings for gateway and netmask. I can ping from my "debian plc host" to internet and also do "curl google.com" so traffic seems to find its way through and back, still "Automation server" will not find the gateway. Any hints how a manual configuration should be done? Is it possibly a "firewall" issue of my "normal router"? Thanks for any help! Per

Hello, basically the i950 drive support CiA402 Basic and CiA402 Advanced modes. I attached pictures of both mode supported functions. It also support CSP, VL, CSV and CST modes. It seems the homing mode is in CiA402 Advanced mode but how can you not have the homing mode in both modes? It is a vital part of any servo system. If I use the SoftMotion standard demo mode, I can move the servo absolute and relative but cannot home it. But in SoftMotion Light mode, I cannot execute any motion function. Hi, HTML5 Conrtrol elements on CODESYS V3.5 SP22 Patch 2, WebVisu only (no TargetVisu). The client is Chromium 147 in kiosk mode on a Raspberry Pi CM5 panel; the runtime is CODESYS Control Win V3 x64/CODESYS Control RTE V3 x64 on a separate IPC. I have measured that changing a Frame element's switch-frame variable destroys the currently referenced visualization and fully rebuilds it on return, including all embedded HTML5 controls. We would like to know whether this lifecycle is configurable. Measurement 1: Curently, our production page contains a good number of custom HTML5 controls and will only increase , each of which the WebVisu client instantiates as a separate about:srcdoc iframe. I counted live targets via the Chromium remote debugging endpoint (curl http://localhost:9222/json/list) before and after switching. Production displayed (index 0) 108 iframes Switched to a light page (index 1) 46 iframes Switched back to Production 108 iframes 62 controls are destroyed on leaving the page and re-instantiated on return. Observed latency was approximately 2.5 -5s away from the heavy page and approximately 4.0 -5 s back to it. This was measured with the panel otherwise idle: 2.8% system CPU, 97.1% idle, 2 h 56 min uptime, no remote-desktop session running, hardware acceleration confirmed active in chrome://gpu. I had previously measured the same behaviour under a much higher CPU load and have since resolved that load separately (VISU_TASK cycle period), so I am confident the rebuild is the frame lifecycle itself and not CPU starvation. Measurement 2 — frame offset instead of switch index I then displayed the same overlay page by a different mechanism. Instead of using a switch-frame index, I placed the page in a fixed Frame parked off-screen below the visible canvas, and drive its Y offset from an INT in Structured Text to move it into view. With this approach the overlay appears immediately, the production page underneath is never torn down and keeps updating, and no visualization is destroyed or rebuilt in either direction. The iframe count does not change at any point. This is the same visualization, containing the same HTML5 controls, as in Measurement 1 — the only difference is how it is brought on screen. So the rebuild appears to be a property of the switch-frame mechanism specifically, not of the page or its control count. Questions: Is the destroy-and-rebuild behavior on switch-frame the intended and documented lifecycle for WebVisu? Is there any setting, property or client option that causes a referenced visualization to remain instantiated when it is not the active index — the equivalent of keeping it mounted but not displayed? Does the runtime or client offer any form of caching or pre-instantiation for referenced visualizations, so that a return switch does not pay the full construction cost? Is the cost specific to HTML5 controls, or would the same rebuild occur with an equivalent number of native visualization elements? We ask because it would inform whether reducing our HTML5 control count is a viable solution. Is there a recommended pattern for showing a full-screen page over a live production screen without tearing the production screen down? My current workaround is to keep every page permanently instantiated and move it on and off screen by driving a frame offset variable, which avoids the rebuild entirely but means every page stays live and consumes client resources for the life of the session. This works, but I would prefer to use the supported mechanism if one exists. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Dear forum, I currently have a big question mark above my head, and maybe this forum can shine some light on the situation. I recently updated to Codesys 3.15 SP19 Patch 6. And now I’m trying to setup the OPC-UA server, besides that I’m trying to connect to the controller with the Codesys V3 (Ethernet) protocol. OPC-UA I have installed the correct licenses on my controller (Runtime and communication). I’m able to connect to the controller with an OPC-UA client, and I’m able to browse the tags, so far so good. Therefore I’m assuming that the OPC-UA server is running on the controller. But now the strange part, in the device security settings I have set the communication Policy to BASCI256SHA256 ( I also have tried the other ones) and the communication mode is set to secure if possible (I also have tried all the other ones) (see picture). With these settings I would assume that I would only be able to login with a Basic256SHA256 policy with a client. But the opposite is true, I am able to login using the no policy mode and when I set it to Basic256SHA256 the client (UA-Expert) notes that this policy is not available on the server. I then check the certificates and I noted that there is no certificate for the OPC-UA server, I tried to generate one but it gave the error that the certificate has not been created by the device (See picture). To summarize I have no clue what is going on, and the controller does the opposite of what I would expect. Codesys Ethernet V3 driver I have a HMI connected to the same controller using the Ethernet V3 driver. But this will not connect. I tried all the Protocols (see picture), with and without the username and password enabled. But it will not connect, when I scan the available servers I can see the controller with the port number that I am expecting, so I’m assuming that the Codesys V3 ethernet driver is up on the controller. Does anyone can give me some direction, because the stuff that I tried doesn’t make sense to me. Thank you in advance

I still have the same problem with Codesys 3.5 SP18. Initially, my project is ~5 Mo. I work on it for like 3-4 days and it goes up to ~10Mo. If I make an export of the project and import it in a new empty project, it goes back to approximately 5 Mo. Why is it doing this ?

I have tried downgrading and it seems fine now. I am now on version 4.3.0.0 for the library. Mainly the PN controller caused the issue for me. Funny weird is that even the PN controller versions 4.3.1.0 and 4.3.0.0 cause the error. Version 4.2.0.0 works fine.

Hi all. I am currently struggling to get my Wago PFC200 running the Codesys Runtime in version 4.9.0.0 working. I am using Codesys V3.5SP19. I updated the PFC200 to the firmware version 04.01.10(23) after having tried the latest version (04.03.03(25) from Wago and not being able to start the runtime. After reading version 23 was needed, I changed to that and at least was able to have it start the codesys runtime. I also installed the "Codesys Control for PFC200 SL 4.9.0.0" plugin for Codesys to install the Codesys runtime in version 4.9.0.0 as well as update the Gateway on the device. While I seem to be able to connect to the gateway on the PLC (the dot is green) and when doing a scan, I do now find my PFC200, which is a huge improvement to before, where with firmware version 25 it just failed to start the runtime and I never found any device when doing a scan. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to connect to the PLC in codesys. I logged in via SSH and changed the password and I can see that this password is correct as the stuff in the Codesys PFC200 tools tab only works if I use my changed password. And I used those credentials to update the installed Runtime version, which the log claimed to have worked fine. Now whenever I try to connect to the device found in the scan, I get a authentication pop-up with empy device name, device address: 000A. As User I use "root" and as password the password that I changed it to. As a response I just get "Ungültige Benutzerauthentifizierung auf dem Gerät" (Eng. probably something like "Invalid user authentication on the device". What could I be doing wrong?
